16 Camera Apps, Tested

Incredibooth ($0.99, on iPhone and Android) makes taking photobooth-style pictures a snap. The app relies on the front camera, though you can toggle it to use the back one instead. It uses a fun trick that gets your eyes to the right level on the picture, and you can add silly features like black-and-white or a whole host of other things (ghosts in your picture) for 99 cents each. The app won’t save photos to your camera roll by default. When you click on an individual strip, you have the option to save the whole strip, or an individual frame, to the camera roll, or share it via e-mail or Facebook. Overall, it’s a fun app for getting the photobooth experience.
