Black Friday PS5 deals — what to expect and the best early sales

Black Friday PS5 deals

With the PS5 out in the wild, it's officially time to hunt down some Black Friday PS5 deals — assuming you've been able to hunt down a PS5 in the first place. Since Sony's next-gen console only just came out, you're not going to see any major discounts on the hardware itself. However, this time of year is always a great time to stock up on extra games and accessories, and we're already seeing big discounts on plenty of top PS5 titles.

Black Friday will also be a key time to actually try to buy a PS5 for yourself, as retailers such as Walmart and GameStop will be offering additional stock after initial supplies sold out. Here's what to expect from PS5 deals on Black Friday, as well as the best early sales we're spotting now — including the arrival of new PS5 stock at Walmart tonight

Black Friday PS5 deals: What to expect

The PS5 is available in both the U.S. and U.K. Sony's latest console costs $499 for the main model and $399 for the discless PS5 Digital Edition. We don't expect either of these models to be on sale for Black Friday — it's hard enough to even find a PS5 on sale as it is.

Best Buy will be sell the PS5 in "limited quantities" online on Black Friday (November 27), so you'll want to keep Best Buy's PS5 page bookmarked. Walmart will sell the PS5 as part of its Black Friday deals, which kick off at 9 p.m. ET today (Nov. 25). GameStop will also sell the PS5 on Black Friday, but you'll have to try your luck in-person at a store. (Stores open at 7 a.m. local time on Nov. 27.) If you don't want to wait until then, check out our where to buy PS5 guide for the latest updates on availability.

We wouldn't be surprised to see certain retailers offer their own custom PS5 bundles that get you a bunch of games and accessories out of the gate. GameStop has already done this in the past, with a $769 bundle that gave you an extra controller, copies of Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon's Souls and a year of PlayStation Plus. (The deal seems to have disappeared along with most of the PS5 inventory.) With that in mind, it's very possible that similar bundles will return during the busy shopping season.

It's also worth noting that the PS5 will work with almost all PS4 games and accessories, many of which will see big discounts for Black Friday season. We've already seen new titles such as Madden NFL 21 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla available for $10 to $30 off, and many of those games include free upgrades to their PS5 versions.

Black Friday TV deals
If you were able to order a PS5, congrats! But now you need a good TV to go along with it. Fortunately, on Black Friday there are a ton os sales, so be sure to check out the best Black Friday TV deals for all the bargains.
