New on Netflix: Editors' recommendations

Ozark season 4

The first half of the supersized final season looks as dark and dangerous as ever. Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) think they're in a good spot after proving their value to kingpin Navarro (Felix Solis), but the drug lord has a new, very delicate mission for them.

He isn't their only problem, either. Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) has turned on them to teamed up with Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery) to start a new heroin enterprise. Marty and Wendy may find their schemes crashing down on them in a deadly fashion.

Premieres January 21

When Cheer first debuted in January 2020, it felt like a beacon of positivity, determination and spirit. Oh, how quickly things fall apart. In fall 2020, former squad member Jerry Harris was arrested on multiple federal sexual misconduct charges, including soliciting child pornography.

Now, two years later, Cheer is back — and it isn’t shy about confronting Harris’ case nor the toxicity present in the sport. The show also highlights a new wave of competitors with dreams of winning big.
