Sprint is getting everyone all excited over its plans to introduce a tablet that will make use of the carrier's WiMax network. In an interview with Forbes, Sprint's President of Business Markets, Paget Alves, said that the carrier plans to launch a 4G tablet at some point in 2011.
Though Alves did not provide manufacturer details, Forbes reports that he did mention Sprint would soon be offering tablets with other operating systems. Right now, Sprint has just the one tablet offering, which is the Android-based Galaxy Tab, so it's possible we could see a 4G tablet running WebOS, Windows or even RIM's new QNX-based tablet OS.
Roll on 2011, huh?
