Water Tower Converted Into House

Originally an industrial water tower (dated back to 1931) in the Netherlands, this modern house features nine floors and a small accessible rooftop with an unbeatable panoramic view.

Created through the innovation and perseverance of Zecc Architects, the water tower home featured many challenges such as maintaining the interior's industrial characteristics, allowing more daylight in and creating an efficient and practical design.

Of course the nature of having nine floors means there's a lot of stair climbing to be done, so we wouldn't suggest living in one of these homes if the thought of walking up and down several floors to get to the kitchen makes you uneasy.
