The Solar, Wind, and Biochemical Power Lamp

Nature has examples of beings that give off their own light. The angler fish has its bait lamp, certain kinds of moss glow in the dark are among these wondrous beings. Man, with science and ingenuity, has harnessed that power too, in a way beneficial to the environment.

Chelles Hayahi Designs has come up with the conceptual Viva Light Tower. The lamp is independent from power grids, as it is powered by solar, wind and biochemical power. While it’s a good way to help the world cut back on its emissions by 2020, it may be an expensive idea, given that the current street lights and lamp posts need a lot of upgrading. But if it works, the world will be a lot greener.
