The Halo Movie is Still Happening, Says Microsoft

By - Source: Tom's Guide US

It's been a while since we've heard anything positive regarding the possibility of a Halo movie. The on-again-off-again status of the movie has teased Halo fans for years. However, a few years back, the project was declared completely dead.

Microsoft's Frank O'Connor has provided renewed hope for those desperate to see the Master Chief on the silver screen. IGN reports that speaking at MI6 in San Francisco last week, O'Connor said that they are going to make the movie, but when the time is right.

"We're going to make a movie when the time is right," Frank said. "We own the IP. If we want to make a movie, the scale of all the other stuff that we do changes dramatically. We make tens and tens of millions of dollars on ancillary stuff, toys, apparel, music and publishing. If we do a movie all of that will grow exponentially. We have some numbers if we do a movie, but it changes everything. It also changes our target and age demographic."

So will it be anything like the trailer IGN released on April Fools Day?

Uwe Boll would be a terrific director for this project, and Michael Bay could produce! Slap some big boobed, small brained, no talent actresses in there and you've got yourself a picture.

Megan Fox? No way... I am thinking Mila Kunis or some other hottie...

And Michael Bay should not be allowed to make movies any more...
