Google Offers Chrome With Integrated Dart

Called Dartium, the browser is only available for Linux and Mac at this time and will expire after a few days of usage. According to Google, the browser can execute Dart code with additional JavaScript code.

Dart was unveiled in October of last year with the goal to establish it as potential successor for JavaScript. Microsoft, Mozilla, Apple and Opera have not yet confirmed that they have plans to integrate Dart support in their browsers.

While Google now has a strong browser that it can leverage to roll out new technologies without the support of other browser makers, Dart has not been viewed as a beneficial contribution to the evolution of the web, but as a technology that promotes fragmentation.

According to Google, a Windows version of Dartium will be available "soon".
