Steam VR Sale Will Keep You Indoors This Summer

Hey, HTC Vive owners — looking for something to play this weekend? Steam has you covered. Valve has just launched its VR Weekend Sale, providing solid discounts on some of the most popular titles in the SteamVR library, including a few Oculus Rift games. The sale wraps up Aug. 1 at 10am PT, so you better start spending sooner than later.

Valve is bundling 20 games for $251, essentially creating a virtual motherlode of fun. However, you can also just pick a game or two and spend less than $20. While the sale covers VR-compatible games, some of them aren't VR-only, meaning that you might still want to take a look even if you don't have an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.

A quick scan of the list reveals that Eve: Gunjack's price has been slashed by 50 percent to a wallet-friendly $4.99. Subnautica has dropped from $19.99 to $11.99, and Elite Dangerous drops to $20.09. Other games I'd recommend checking out are The Brookhaven Experiment ($14.99), Universe Sandbox2 ($19.99), Space Pirate Trainer ($12.74) and A Legend of Luca ($14.99).

This sale is a good opportunity for Vive owners to check out everything SteamVR has to offer without completely draining your finances. It's also a very good excuse to stay outside and beat the heat this summer.
