Improvements are being rolled out on the Tom's Guide forums, which is run in partnership with our sister site Tom's Hardware. As a result of these upgrades and security changes, we need our registered users to confirm the email address associated with their account. The sooner you do this the better, as the new system will likely be in place by August 18.
Our community forum at Tom’s Hardware is requiring all users to please confirm the email address you have associated with your account as soon as possible.
Tom’s Hardware will be rolling out some new improvements in the coming weeks to account registration and security. With the security upgrade, Tom’s Hardware will be purging any non-confirmed accounts from the database. This means that if your email address is not confirmed soon, you may lose your entire account, including history of posts and comments, threads and badges earned.
Even if you originally created your account through a social network such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Yahoo or Microsoft Messenger, or sign in with Facebook or Google+, you’ll still have to confirm your account with an email address and create a new password. You won’t be able to log in to your account in the forum after these security changes that are coming soon.
You can change your email address here. Once you sign in, check under Email. Tom’s will send you an email with a validation link.
Once your email address is confirmed, a green check mark will appear at the top of your Profile page.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are dedicated to enhancing the security of our forum.
