Have you ever thought about running, but then said, "A race isn't for me." Or are you looking to take your running to the next level? Well, here's your chance. Tom's Guide is here to help. We're looking for 20 readers to participate in a 10-week training program in preparation for a 5K (3-mile) race in September.
To help you train, we'll be giving each Tom's Guide member who participates a Samsung Gear Fit 2, provided by Samsung, which will be yours to keep.
To be eligible, you have to commit to using the Gear Fit 2 during the entire training period as well as during the race, and checking in with us once a week, so we can see how your training is progressing, and what you think of the Gear Fit 2. (You'll also need an Android smartphone; the Gear Fit 2 doesn't work with iPhones). It will also help if you live in the New York area, as the race is in New York City.
Speaking of which, we will also cover your entry fee for the race, the NYCRuns Squirrel Stampede on Roosevelt Island, New York, on September 25. Before, during and after the race, we'll be available to lend advice and encouragement.
To enter, simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, age and contact info; we will announce the participants on Friday, July 22.
On your marks, get set....
