GTA V Players to Get $500K for Online Mode Problems

As was forecast by cynical gamers, Rockstar has been having a whole host of issues with Grand Theft Auto Online. Such issues include ones as innocent as not being able to connect to the service to more serious ones like players losing their character profiles.

Rockstar is offering $500K of in-game cash to GTA Online players in hopes of placating them. Anyone who has played GTA Online in the past month will be receiving the money in their virtual bank accounts starting next week. Rather than giving the entire $500K as a lump sum, Rockstar will be dividing it up into two, so as to not derail the online economy.

"For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online," states the Rockstar blog, "we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet."
