Netflix knows what you're watching, and it knows you're more likely to binge an entire season over the course of one week. But more than that, it knows exactly what types of shows you binge on, and which ones you take your time with.
The streaming service examined the habits of members in 190 countries, across the top 100 TV shows. When we binge, we watch more than 2 hours per day to complete a season. But we don't do that with everything. Irreverent comedies and political or historical dramas are too much for us to take in during long sittings.
We're most likely to not be able to pull our eyes away from thrillers and horror shows, with sci-fi right behind them. Specifically Netflix says folks will continuously stream episodes of Bates Motel, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, The Fall, The Following and The Killing. But, we also find American Horror Story, Hemlock Grove, Penny Dreadful, Scream, The Walking Dead and Z Nation pretty compelling.
You're more likely to savor shows including Arrested Development, BoJack Horseman, Club de Cuervos, F is for Family, Love, Summer Heights High, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Wet Hot American Summer. Do these shows jibe with your viewing habits? Personally, I'm perplexed not to see Black Mirror on the binge-worthy list.
