Roomba Gets Upgrade, Goes for Sexier Lines

iRobot's pretty busy this week. Not only did they release a souped up version of their robotic mop, the Scooba, but they also gave the Roomba a sexy new upgrade. It’s only fitting, given that it is their flagship product.

The 700 series Roombas feature sleeker profiles, touchscreen interfaces, and 50% more battery life. On top of that, the 770 and 780 have a premium “Persistent Pass Cleaning Pattern” which detects and focuses on the dirtiest parts of the floor.  Not bad, iRobot, not bad at all. Now let’s just hope all these hyper-advanced robot helpers don’t come to bite us in the, uh, toes.
