HTC may have more than One smartphone up its sleeve to show off soon. According to the latest leaks, the Taiwanese phone maker is readying a powerful addition to its Desire line that will pack an octa-core processor and intriguing video recording features.
This latest report comes from known leakster @upleaks, who has served up credible tips in the past. If these specs are true, the new Desire handset would carry a 2-GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6795processor with 3GB of RAM and a super sharp 20-megapixel rear camera. The purported 5.5-inch device will pack a 2560 x 1440 WQHD display and run Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC's Desire Sense 7.0 software overlay.
More interestingly, the MediaTek MT6795 processor is capable of supporting full HD video recording at a whopping 480 frames per second, noted Android Authority. This could mean extra smooth slow motion clips.
Upleaks notes a launch date of February 2015, which means we could be seeing this HTC handset in the coming weeks. The company is expected to take the wraps off its next One flagship at a media event on March 1st, as well as reveal its very first wearable. We'll be reporting live from the scene, so stay tuned.
