A couple of decades ago, gigantic animated billboards, notebook sized computers, and functional touchscreens seemed like ridiculous science fiction. However, a mere three decades since Blade Runner, we're already seeing what were once fantastic concepts come to life before our very eyes. Chalk it all up to Moore's Law being in full effect.
A product of this latest Industrial Revolution is the OLED, which promises flexible displays. Of course, the first thing you'd think of would be HDTVs that can comfortably sit flush on a corner, just like Samsung's own concept. However, designer Biju Neyyan thinks this advancement can be put to better use, like with animated bracelets that can receive new patterns from other electronic gadgets. Is it something we should prioritize?
