Dyson Tiny Vacuum Sucks a Lot

It looks like a robot's foot crossed with a Harley-Davidson engine. So is it another member of the growing mechanoid menace, or a strangely colorful upgrade to an easy rider? The answer is none of the above. In reality it's the latest ultra-compact vacuum cleaner from appliance manufacturer Dyson. Yes, you heard that right: it's a vacuum.

The DC26 City™ is a multi-floor cylinder-type cleaner that's about the size of an A4 sheet. You can literally carry it around in one hand. Yet despite its diminutive size, Dyson claims that the City can out-suck (in the good way, of course) a regular-sized model. This whirling dervish seems appropriate for cramped apartments, where the tiny footprint makes it easier to store. Personally, I'd leave it on my coffee table, since it looks like a kick-ass robotic centerpiece.
