5-6 Million iPhones Coming to Verizon in Q1?

Many AT&T customers have been anxiously waiting for the iPhone to arrive to Verizon and it looks like there's another rumor circulating that may bring the dream closer to reality. This is also great news for current Verizon customers who prefer the iPhone over Verizon's many Android based phones.

According to Digitimes, sources from Apple's component shippers in Taiwan are preparing to ship 5 to 6 million CDMA iPhones within the first 3 months of 2011. Unlike AT&T and T-Mobile's GSM based network, Verizon runs on CDMA.

It has already been reported several times that Apple has been working on a CDMA iPhone and it looks like this last rumor may confirm it all. According to the sources, Apple's goal is to ship a total of 20 to 21 million iPhones in the first quarter of 2011 alone.

With the iPhone coming to Verizon, will Apple's smartphone dominate the market? Or will the majority of Verizon's iPhone customers be disgruntled AT&T customers? Will you make the switch? Let us know below!
