On showcase at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai was the Canon Wonder Camera Concept. It was one of the attractions at the Japanese Pavilion, along with a trio of Panasonic 152" multi-touch plasma displays.
If photos of the Wonder Camera paint an accurate picture of the imaging future, we'll all be walking around with cameras holstered like revolvers. Picture taking will become a minimalist touch-interface affair, with the shutter and viewfinder remaining as physical reminders of the early 21st century. No doubt, the hardware driving everything will be much more capable.
Heck, we may even see language barriers go down.
