AiRScouter Projects HUD Directly into Your Retina

If you've ever seen an episode of Dragonball Z, then you know about the invading aliens' headgear of choice, the scouter. The handy little heads-up display (HUD) provided any extraterrestrial bad guy a readout of his current location, and determined if his opponent's power level is over 9,000.

Brother Industries' AiRScouter takes full inspiration from that magical monocle. While it may not be able to determine an individual's power level at the moment, it does fulfill the cartoon scouter's main role: that of a persistent heads-up display. It projects an image directly onto your retina, and your brain interprets said image as a transparent 16-inch digital display floating a meter in front of you.

Brother Industries hopes its creation will provide human engineers hands-free access to design schematics while on site. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it'll give us an edge when super-powered aliens start invading our planet.
