All-in-one PCs are typically built to stay on your desk, but Acer is looking to change that with the Aspire Z3-700. Launching in Europe by the end of the year for roughly $680, this new mini-desktop packs a 17.3-inch display into a thin and light design, making it easy to throw it in your bag and get to work wherever you are.
The Aspire Z3-700 looks more like a big tablet than it does a desktop PC, with a 4.4-pound, 0.6-inch slim chassis that comes in a slick gold finish. The Aspire's 17.3-inch touch screen packs a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, and, according to Acer, is "optimized for stylus control."

On the inside, the Z3 will come configured with either Intel's Pentium or Celeron processors with up to 8GB of RAM and various flash-based and hard drive storage options. The PC includes a wireless keyboard and mouse, and its two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port and microSD slot provide plenty of options to connecting to other accessories and external displays.
There's still no word on whether or not the Z3-700 will get a stateside release, but its high portability could find a niche with those who want desktop features within a design not much bigger than a laptop. We'll be sure to give the Z3-700 our full review treatment if and when it comes our way.
