Even after over 3 years since its alpha first launched, people are still catching the Minecraft bug. The indie game first took PC by storm, selling over 6 million copies.
This May, Minecraft hit Xbox Live, selling 1 million copies in five days. Since then, the sales have slowed down significantly, but are still impressive. Mojang founder and Minecraft ex-lead designer Markus "Notch" Persson revealed in a tweet earlier today that Minecraft's hit over 3 million sales on Xbox Live.
The game's been so popular on Xbox Live that it's managed to overtake Call of Duty: Black Ops on Live's most played list and still remains second only to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Currently, Minecraft has sold over 10 million copies across all platforms. Even with plenty of its clones out on the market, there's no sign that Minecraft's success is slowing down.
