Are you an entrepreneur that’s looking for new ways to connect, learn from, and grow with other entrepreneurs? The Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network, or DWEN, is built to offer exclusive resources for female entrepreneurs -- tools like contacts with other entrepreneurs, education materials, and even virtual events, that could help you grow your business to new heights.

Female entrepreneurs face unique challenges in business, and DWEN is aimed at helping them navigate those challenges. For example, only 2.8% of venture capital went to female-founded business in 2020, according to Fast Company, and that’s not to mention other challenges like having to manage a remote workforce and deal with bringing that workforce back in a safe manner. Female founders also have to deal with managing social expectations, struggling to be taken seriously in the business world, and building a decent support network that can help them reach their full professional potential.

But while DWEN’s tools have traditionally been reserved for its in-person events, after 10 years of its existence, DWEN recently moved to an entirely virtual offering, meaning that while in the past you may have had to fly to and attend an in-person conference to get the most out of the service, these days you can get access to all of the tools, educational materials, and more, from the comfort of your own home or office. Because of that, it makes sense that the service has grown from around 5,000 members a few months ago, to over an impressive 20,000 members now. DWEN is already planning its next virtual event, which is set to take place on October 15th.

DWEN has members from over 119 countries, and it has a growing number of local chapters within those areas, which host virtual meet-ups based on the needs of the local area (city or country). Currently, there are 25+ chapters, but that number is only growing, so there should be something for your area. Or, if there’s not, you can start one yourself.

DWEN has held podcasts on a variety of topics so far, including managing teams remotely, acquiring funding, pivoting to a new area, and staying resilient. Other educational resources include content from partners like Fast Company and Intel, and one-on-one coaching sessions led by wiseHer, which is a female-founded company that connects DWEN users to coaches and mentors.  Most importantly, DWEN sources subject matter experts from the community itself and women entrepreneurs have opportunities to be featured in webinars, podcasts, EmpowerHours and more.

There are other advantages to joining DWEN too. You’ll get connections to DWEN Champions which include sponsors and supporters, like Intel, Dell Technologies employees and anyone who is passionate about helping women entrepreneurs succeed.  You’ll get access to the DWEN member marketplace, where you can find and share services with other members, directly supporting other women owned businesses. You’ll even get special savings on Dell products and solutions that can help grow your business even further, and get access to Dell Technologies advisors who can help you understand your tech needs and suggest the right infrastructure from the very start.
