Update – at the time of publishing, there's less than three hours to let us know how you use VPNs and to win a stack of prizes!

At Tom’s Guide, we like to think we know a thing or two about the best VPN services on the market – but we’re always looking to learn more about how people use them. We’ve put together plenty of guides aimed at helping real users pick the best product for their needs – from free VPN services to the most secure VPN – but hearing from you will help us understand what you want from your VPN. That in turn will help us give better, more informed advice to our readers.

We've launched a series of surveys asking real VPN users what they want from their provider, how they use it, and what matters most when picking the right product.

To get the ball rolling, this survey is looking at how people use streaming VPN services. As one of the most popular VPN uses, to give quality advice on the subject we think it’s essential to discover what people are streaming, and what features they prioritise in their VPN.

If you want to take part in our survey, you can click here.

You can take part in the survey totally anonymously – we get it, online privacy is like gold dust these days – but if you’re happy to give us your email address, we’ll enter you into a prize draw. The top prize is a $100 Amazon voucher, and five runners up will also be able to claim a 1-year subscription for the top-rated ExpressVPN.

Your email address will only be used to deliver the prize if you’re a lucky winner – you won’t be entered onto a mailing list or receive marketing emails. Full terms and conditions can be found below.

Whether you choose to submit your email or not, we hope you’ll take the time to complete our survey. If you do, you’ll know that you’ve helped Tom’s Guide deliver better-informed content to our millions of readers.

Tom's Guide needs you!

TG is investigating how our readers use VPNs with streaming sites like Netflix so we can improve our content and offer better advice.

This survey won't take more than 60 seconds of your time, and you can also choose to enter the prize draw to win a $100 Amazon voucher or one of five 1-year ExpressVPN subscriptions.

Why is Tom's Guide doing a survey?

Even as tech experts, we understand there’s a huge amount we don’t know – the biggest of which is long-term user experience of products. Most members of our team regularly use VPNs for various reasons, but hearing from a wider range of users from different backgrounds will give us a better understanding of what people really want. That in turn will help us deliver better, more practical advice.

It's worth noting that we're carrying out this survey together with TechRadar, so don't be alarmed when you're redirected to that site once you've completed the survey.
