Halloween weekend is finally upon us, and the best streaming services are offering plenty of treats this weekend to fill up our watchlist. With the calendar flipping over from October to November, there's a ton of new movies to sift through, so I'm shining a spotlight on the best ones worth watching.

Leading the pack this week is Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson's steamy and twisted new thriller "Verity" on paid video-on-demand platforms. Parents out there will be happy to know that "Minions and Monsters," a chaotic but endearing tribute to the Golden Age of Hollywood, just landed on Peacock. For some high-flying thrills this weekend, a nail-biting new documentary called "Hanging by a Wire" just arrived on Paramount+, and I had to watch most of it through my fingers. Meanwhile, Netflix has a feel-good sports comedy starring Woody Harrelson called "Champions" from a few years back, and "Scream 7" arrived on Prime Video this week if you're looking for a fresh horror movie this weekend.

So without further ado, let's dive into the best new movies on streaming this weekend.

'Hanging by a Wire' (Paramount+)

If heights make you queasy, you might want to skip this one. "Hanging by a Wire," a new nail-biting survival documentary on Paramount+, promises plenty of white-knuckle moments and has earned tons of buzz and positive reviews since its Sundance premiere earlier this year, and it's not hard to see why.

In August 2023, a cable car carrying eight passengers, six of them children, became stranded high above a ravine in Pakistan after one of the cables snapped. Suspended more than 900 feet in the air, the terrified passengers were left hanging by a wire as officials on the ground raced to safe them in time. The aerial drone footage is enough to make your stomach drop, and the whole ordeal will leave you wondering how well you'd be able to handle getting trapped in such a nightmare scenario.

'Verity' (PVOD)

Colleen Hoover has cemented herself as a powerhouse of modern fiction, and her latest bestselling novel adapted to the big screen, "Verity," is not a movie I expected to enjoy as much as I did — proving that, yes, you can put Anne Hathaway in anything and I'll eat it up. Dakota Johnson co-stars as struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh, who's hired to complete the bestselling book series of acclaimed author Verity Crawford (Hathaway) after an accident leaves her paralyzed and unable to write.

After Verity's husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett) poaches her for the job, Lowen moves into their home, where she soon uncovers a disturbing manuscript that casts their marriage in a whole new light. This glossy thriller delivers plenty of juicy drama, an unsettling atmosphere and enough intrigue to keep you hooked, especially in its first half. The second half stumbles, falling far short of its deliciously twisted potential, but even still, it's a fun and steamy watch to kill a weekend afternoon.

‘Minions and Monsters’ (Peacock)

The Minions are Hollywood-bound in this surprisingly fun third installment of the "Despicable Me" spin-off. Set in 1927, the latest "Minions" sequel follows a new batch of the jaundiced little henchmen as they crash into the silent-film era and try to take over showbiz by becoming movie stars.

Naturally, their big-screen ambitions take a disastrous turn when they accidentally unleash an eyeball-covered monster on Los Angeles. It's another helping of familiar Minions mayhem, but this installment was clearly made by diehard Hollywood fanatics. Kids will get a kick out of the slapstick humor and colorful chaos, while grown-ups can enjoy the affectionate nods to a bygone era on the silver screen.

'Scream 7' (Prime Video)

What's your favorite scary movie? I'll be real with you, "Scream 7" probably won't be your answer after watching it, but with Halloween kicking off this weekend, it's exactly the time to enjoy some schlocky slasher thrills. While it doesn't come close to topping the original, "Scream 7" is an entertaining enough return to form with plenty of nostalgia to chew on that longtime fans won't be disappointed.

Neve Campbell reprises her role as Sidney Prescott, who's forced out of hiding when a new Ghostface killer targets her daughter. This latest chapter packs in plenty of callbacks to previous installments and even brings back some familiar faces who probably should have stayed dead. It's not exactly subtle, but still a bloody good time with all the twists, throwbacks and fan service you'd expect.

'Champions' (Netflix)

Sometimes a feel-good sports comedy is just the thing to kick off your weekend with some positive vibes. While Bobby Farrelly’s “Champions” follows the formula to the letter, Woody Harrelson is a treat to watch as a disgraced former minor-league basketball coach who gets a chance at redemption by coaching a team of players with intellectual disabilities.

After getting into trouble with the law, Marcus (Harrelson) is ordered to complete community service and gets put in charge of the Friends, a local basketball team of players with intellectual disabilities who have dreams of competing in the Special Olympics. Presided over by Cheech Marin’s world-weary civil servant, the program is so woefully underfunded that the only way the team can make it to away games is by hopping on the city bus. Initially, Harrelson's exasperated by their lack of skill, but after spending more time with them...well, you can probably guess what happens next (and all the warm fuzzies that go along with it).

November marks the start of the holiday season, which means plenty of reasons to spend money — gifts, travel, holiday meals. With so many expenses piling up, it’s worth taking a closer look at which streaming services are actually earning their place on your monthly bill.

A Tom’s Guide survey about streaming habits found that readers are spending more than $60 a month on seven or more streaming services. That’s a lot to shell out on apps you may barely open. Instead of keeping every subscription active all year, treat your streaming lineup as a rotation: Cancel the services that aren’t delivering enough must-watch shows, then bring them back when something worth watching arrives.

For November 2026, Prime Video and Apple TV are the two services I’d be most comfortable cutting from my monthly bill. Both have plenty of worthwhile shows, but this month’s lineups don’t quite justify the subscription fees — especially when there are plenty of other places to spend your money this time of year. Here’s why these are the streaming services to cancel right now.

Why I'd cancel Prime Video in November 2026

Prime Video is a slightly trickier cancellation recommendation because most people don’t actually subscribe to it on its own. It comes bundled with Amazon Prime, along with free shipping and a whole buffet of other perks. That makes it harder to justify canceling just for the streaming side of things. Still, some people do subscribe to Prime Video separately, and even Prime members should think twice about whether the video library is enough to keep the subscription earning its keep.

November actually gives Prime Video a pretty impressive lineup. "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" season 3 arrives Nov. 11, with the first four episodes dropping at once. The remaining four episodes follow over the next two weeks, with the finale arriving Nov. 25.

That release schedule is exactly why I wouldn't necessarily keep Prime Video active for the entire month. You can absolutely wait until next month and binge the entirety of season 3, rather than watch it week to week. "The Rings of Power" hasn't proven to be the kind of show that generates a lot of social media chatter, so you can easily evade spoilers.

The month's other big new title is "Blade Runner 2099," premiering on Nov. 25, with all eight episodes available at once. The sci-fi series stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer and picks up 50 years after "Blade Runner 2049." That's a pretty compelling binge, but with its release date so late in the month, you can simply just wait a week while saving some money.

Why I'd cancel Apple TV in November 2026

Apple TV is one of the hardest streaming services to cancel on quality alone. It consistently punches above its weight, and November is no exception. But two of its biggest shows, "Slow Horses" and "Dark Matter," recently wrapped their latest seasons, leaving a noticeable hole in the lineup. There are still reasons to stick around, but this could be a good moment to rotate Apple TV out and put that monthly fee toward the holiday season instead.

Some noteworthy November titles include "Stick" season 2 (returning Nov. 4), which brings Owen Wilson back as washed-up golfer Pryce Cahill.

Then comes "12 12 12," a new crime thriller that turns a high-stakes heist into three different timelines. It arrives Nov. 13, adding another buzzy scripted series to Apple's library. But like "Stick," it's a weekly watch rather than an instant binge, which makes it easier to wait until next month.

The month's other big draw is "Way of the Warrior Kid," a family adventure starring Chris Pratt as a decorated Navy SEAL who returns home to help his nephew, a bullied middle-schooler struggling to find his confidence. Based on the bestselling book by Jocko Willink, it's an underdog story about resilience, discipline and learning to stand up for yourself. The movie drops on Nov. 25, another latecomer that can easily wait a week to be watched.

So why cancel? While Apple TV's November lineup is good, none of it is "clear my schedule" binge-watching fodder. Their series air weekly, so both "Stick" and "12 12 12" will still be going into December. Practice a bit of patience and think of how much you'll have to watch next month.

How much you'll save by canceling Prime Video and Apple TV

The amount you'll save by canceling both streaming services depends on how you subscribe to Prime Video. If you get it through an Amazon Prime membership ($14.99/month, $139/year), you'll need to weigh the streaming benefits against the other perks, including free shipping. But if you pay for Prime Video as a standalone subscription ($8.99/month), canceling is a much simpler way to trim your bill.

Apple TV has a single monthly subscription tier, now priced at $14.99. A standalone Prime Video subscription costs $8.99 with ads, or $13.98 with the $4.99 Prime Video Ultra add-on for ad-free viewing. That means canceling both standalone subscriptions could save you nearly $30.

I know — that doesn't seem like a fortune, but the savings add up when you rotate streaming services throughout the year. Skip a few months here and there, and you could save hundreds without giving up the shows and movies you want to watch. A bit of extra cash can only help when Black Friday deals roll around.

Spooky season is winding down, but Prime Video is offering one last chance to lean into the scares. Whether you’re racing to squeeze in a final fright or you're already Halloween-ed out — and we certainly wouldn’t blame you — this weekend’s lineup runs the full genre gamut to deliver the perfect fix.

First up is “Scream Queens,” the gleefully bitchy horror-comedy from “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy. Across two seasons, it unleashes a masked killer first on an Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis–led sorority, then on a chaotic hospital where John Stamos and Taylor Lautner join the madness. For high-stakes drama outside the haunted house, the Korean series “Final Table” pits elite chefs — fronted by “Business Proposal” star Ahn Hyo-seop — against each other in a cutthroat, fine-dining battle to be crowned the country’s best.

If you’d rather skip the tension altogether, “LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines” returns for season 2. Hosted by megastar Vice Ganda, the series traps ten of the country’s sharpest comedians in a single room where cracking a smile means instant elimination. Without further ado, here are three top picks worth streaming on Prime Video this weekend.

'Scream Queens'

What it's about: Get one last scare in for the Halloween holidays with this devious anthology from Ryan Murphy. Join the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority at Wallace University, where a serial killer in a Red Devil costume starts picking off students one by one. You won't be able to get enough of the catty queen bee Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) and all-business Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) in charge, nor "the Chanels," Oberlin's wannabe sidekicks. Then, when the first season's over, things switch up to a hospital stalked by a new killer, starring John Stamos and Taylor Lautner, of all people.

Why you should watch it: From "American Horror Story" creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, "Scream Queens" may be one of the bitchiest couple of seasons of television you'll ever watch, and it's as decadent as all the candy you'll consume this Halloween with one last scary fling of the year.

'Final Table'

What it’s about: This sleek Korean series turns the high-pressure world of fine dining into a massive showdown. “Final Table” (known in Korea as “The Table: K-Chef”) gathers a field of elite chefs for a prestigious competition to crown the best in the country, each of them carrying their own baggage into the kitchen. There’s Kang Han (Ahn Hyo-seop), a world-class talent using the pseudonym “Chris K.”; Choi Song-yi (Hong Hwa-yeon), who’s fighting to keep her late father’s restaurant alive; and Cha Woo-jin (Chang Ryul), a star chef who accepts nothing short of perfection. All of them are working their butts off to rise to the top and stay there.

Why you should watch it: If you love the tension of a cooking competition but want the emotional depth of a scripted drama, “Final Table” can give you a little of both. Ahn Hyo-seop (“Business Proposal,” “Dr. Romantic”) makes this an especially bingeable treat for food competition fans.

'LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines' (season 2)

What it’s about? The wildly popular Filipino edition of Prime Video’s global comedy competition returns for a second season. Hosted by megastar Vice Ganda, “LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines” locks ten of the country’s funniest comedians in a room for six hours with a single rule: make everyone else laugh, but don’t crack a smile yourself. They come armed with their best jokes, wildest characters and most outrageous stunts, and the last one still keeping a straight face walks away with some serious money.

Why you should watch it: The first season was a massive hit, topping Prime Video’s reality charts in the Philippines. It's hilarious, and you may very well decide to binge the rest of the seasons after checking this one out.

The weekend was made for movie watching, and if you're planning to settle down and stream some great movies on Prime Video, I've got three options that definitely should be under consideration.

Variety is the theme of my picks this week, as each will appeal to different tastes. There's a 2026 horror sequel that's perfect for Halloween on Saturday (Oct. 31), or if you're not feeling a scary movie, how about a romantic drama that will really tug on your heartstrings. Whereas if you just need a laugh, I've found a golden-age classic.

These are the three new-to-Prime-Video movies I recommend you watch this weekend. Don't waste your precious streaming time scrolling; get watching these movies as soon as the weekend starts.

‘Scream 7’ (2026)

Cards on the table, in this horror fan’s opinion, “Scream 7” is the weakest installment in the slasher series to date. The return of Neve Campbell, who skipped “Scream 6” over a pay dispute, was welcome, but the result was a very messy movie. Still, if you want a new horror movie to watch on Halloween, you might find some of its creative kills gory good fun. And Campbell paired with Courteney Cox is always a joy.

After a genuinely excellent opening (which is actually the movie’s high point), events leap to Pine Grove, Indiana, where Ghostface survivor Sidney (Campbell) has built a new life with a husband (Joel McHale) and daughter, Tatum (Isabel May). Sidney is done with her past, but the past isn’t finished with her. When a new mask-wearing killer arrives on the scene, Tatum is the primary target, and Sidney must face a new Ghostface, who might be creating terror from beyond the grave...

‘Love of Your Life’ (2026)

Switching gears, if you’ve had your fill of scary movies already this spooky season and want something a little less bloody, why not try “Love of Your Life”? This Prime Video original drama released in early October received solid reviews. It's rated 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. On the Prime Video original grade curve, that’s a very impressive rating.

Margaret Qualley stars as Maya, a young nurse living in Boston, who is swept off her feet by the dashing Charlie (Gabriel Basso). However, when the future she imagined is ripped away by tragedy, she is forced to find a new path. She heads to Europe, meets new people, including a charming Brit, Felix (Aaron Pierre), and tries to learn to love again. This romantic drama pairs stunning shots of picturesque places with an emotionally charged story. Yes, it’s somewhat of a standard romantic drama, but the strong cast carries the predictable material.

‘Some Like It Hot’ (1959)

In a 2017 BBC poll, “Some Like It Hot” was voted the best comedy movie of all time, a strong enough endorsement for even Wikipedia to list it as “one of the greatest films ever made.” That’s no hyperbole in my opinion; it’s a hoot-worthy crime caper that stars Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and the scene-stealing Marilyn Monroe. It’s a real gem of classic Hollywood cinema, an era that I love. They don’t make movies like this anymore!

In this farcical comedy, two musicians, Joe (Curtis) and Jerry (Lemmon), are looking for a way out of Chicago to escape a group of gangsters after witnessing a Valentine’s Day shootout. Broke and desperate, they opt to join an all-girls band heading to Florida. Concealing their identities to fit in, Joe hopes to win the heart of Sugar Kane Kowalczyk (Monroe), while Jerry is himself wooed by a hoodwinked millionaire. Naturally, a whole load of hilarious situations ensues, and things escalate when the gangsters arrive on the scene.

There's just one problem: The building is a 12-story death trap run by a Satanic cult. Fortunately for her, she’s far more dangerous than anyone expects, and she fights her way through the carnage as best she can, which makes for a bloody good time for fans of movies like "Ready or Not."

‘Clashing Through the Snow’ (Nov. 23)

This cozy holiday rom-com strands two rival publishing editors, played by Christopher Briney (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”) and Michelle Randolph (“Landman”), at a snowed-in airport and forces them to share a rental car all the way to New York. The catch is that they’re secretly competing for the same career-saving book deal, which makes their road trip more tense than you might have guessed. The movie has a scene-stealing supporting cast that includes Lukas Gage, Julia Fox and Paris Hilton, and it's perfect for settling into the winter holidays.

‘Blade Runner 2099’ (Nov. 25)

The world of "Blade Runner" expands onto the small screen with this ambitious new series. Set 50 years after the events of "Blade Runner 2049," "Blade Runner 2099" imagines a Los Angeles reshaped by the artificial humans known as replicants. Michelle Yeoh is an aging replicant Blade Runner, with Hunter Schafer as Cora, a fugitive who takes on the identity of a Blade Runner in one last bid to stop running. If you're a fan of the neon-soaked franchise, this next direction for it is a no-brainer.

When you settle down to binge-watch some television on Prime Video, the last thing you want to do is waste time scrolling through the platform’s near-endless library. That’s where the Prime Video top 10 list comes into play. It gives you a snapshot look at the shows that are currently drawing the most interest from your fellow subscribers.

However, it’s not uncommon for subpar series to find a spot on the ranking. Heck, I’ve seen shows I’d firmly label a “skip” manage to hold down the No. 1 spot. Which is why I’m combing through today’s Prime Video top 10 shows list to pick out three series actually worth watching.

My picks are based on the Prime Video top 10 as of Wednesday, October 28, and include action, horror and romance. There’s a pick for (nearly) all tastes, so let’s dive into them…

‘The Terminal List’

“The Terminal List” season 2 wrapped up last week, so while weekly watchers will no doubt be disappointed not to find a new episode on Prime Video this week, if you’ve been holding fire to binge-watch the entire sophomore run, it's time to pull the trigger. The show is based on the novel “True Believer” by Jack Carr, a follow-up to the book "The Terminal List", which was adapted for the show's first season. In short, this action-thriller original is made for fans of “Reacher.”

I won’t delve into season 2 spoilers, in case you’re totally fresh to the series, but in season 1, it follows James Reece (spot the same initials as a certain Lee Child literary creation…), played by Chris Pratt. Reece is a US Navy SEAL who returns home from war after his platoon is ambushed on the front lines. Once back on U.S. soil, he faces survivor's guilt, unreliable memories, and dark forces working against him that could threaten the lives of everybody he holds dear.

‘Carrie’

Prime Video’s television take on Stephen King’s debut novel, previously adapted into a chilling horror movie starring Sissy Spacek, is the show you need for Halloween week. I was a skeptic, unsure how showrunner Mike Flanagan could stretch a relatively short novel across roughly eight hours of TV, but consider me a total convert. It might not quite top the 1976 film, but it comes a heck of a lot closer than I ever imagined.

The setup is simple: Carrie White (Summer H. Howell) is a young outcast, tormented at school by a mean girl who makes Regina George look friendly, and terrorized at home by her religious mother, Margaret (Samantha Sloyan). When she discovers she possesses telekinetic powers, she’s set on a path to a terrifying rampage. What 2026’s “Carrie” does so well is expand the story, bringing in modern elements such as social media bullying to great effect. Mike Flanagan has done it again!

‘Off Campus’

Part of the en vogue sports-based romantic drama subgenre, “Off Campus” followed in the footsteps of last year’s breakout hit “Heated Rivalry.” It premiered back in May, and yet all these months later it's a constant on Prime Video's top 10 most-watched list, proving this romance is no flash in the pan. A second season is on the way, so get caught up if you somehow missed the almost unavoidable buzz in the spring.

Like its aforementioned contemporary, “Off Campus” presents a steamy romance on the ice rink. It follows music major Hannah Wells (Ella Bright), who falls for the college’s star hockey player, Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli). But naturally, their romance isn’t smooth skating, and plenty of hurdles are thrown in their path. It’s not afraid of melodrama, embracing the genre’s cheesy tropes, and the chemistry between Bright and Cameli glues it all together.

We're going into the final weekend of October 2026 — with Halloween arriving on Saturday to boot — which means that, yes, the top streaming services are about to do their monthly platform clean-outs of old film titles to make way for a fresh crop of fun new flicks. That means if you've had movies bookmarked to watch on Prime Video, you're going to want to click "Play" on those before October 31 comes around.

It can be hard to keep track of what's coming and what's going on the popular Amazon platform, but that's where Tom's Guide comes in. We've rounded up five movies currently available on Prime Video that are worth adding to your watchlist before they leave in October 2026. There are classic horror movies and creepy thrillers, of course, but also sci-fi sagas, beloved rom-coms, and a Gen X favorite.

Whether you want to laugh, cry or scream your head off, here are five movies to catch on Prime Video before they're gone at the month's end.

'Dracula' (1931)

Of course, you can watch horror movies anytime of the year, but there is something special about settling in for a scary watch in the days leading up to Halloween. And you don't get more classically scary than "Dracula."

Bela Lugosi iconically portrays the titular Transylvanian vampire in this 1931 screen version of Bram Stoker's classic tale, which sees the 500-year-old bloodsucker emigrate to London and begin preying on local young socialites (including those played by Helen Chandler and Frances Dade). Soon, those mysterious blood-loss illnesses catch the attention of local physicians as well as an eccentric scientist named Van Helsing (Edward Van Sloan), who begins digging into the case and hunting down Dracula.

'Interstellar' (2014)

Christopher Nolan has managed to make us tear up with movies about atomic bombs, military evacuations, and caped crusaders, so it's not all that surprising that the most emotional entry in the Oscar winner's acclaimed career is a father-daughter drama about space travel.

Set in a dystopian near-future where a global pathogen has wiped out global crops and depleted breathable air, this sweeping 2014 sci-fi epic is captained by former NASA pilot-turned-doomsday farmer Joseph "Coop" Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), who is recruited to lead an exploratory interspace team — joining astronauts played by Anne Hathaway, Wes Bentley and David Gyasi — and find a new habitable planet in another galaxy that will save humanity from a dying Earth.

The intergalactic stakes are certainly stirring, but the movie's real heart-tugging attribute is the close bond between Cooper and his daughter Murph (played by Mackenzie Foy as a child and Jessica Chastain and Ellen Burstyn as an adult).

'Reality Bites' (1994)

Ethan Hawke has been making the promo rounds lately in support of season two of the FX crime dramedy "The Lowdown," but long before he played nosy journalist Lee Raybon, he famously played the perennially unemployed slacker Troy Dyer in the iconic '90s flick "Reality Bites."

Before the Ben Stiller-directed comedy leaves Prime Video and thrusts us into "the winter of our discontent" at the end of the month, catch up with Troy and his Gen X pals — aspiring filmmaker Lelaina Pierce (Winona Ryder), Gap sales manager Vickie Miner (Janeane Garofalo) and their closeted roommate Sammy Gray (Steve Zahn) — as they navigate post-collegiate life, find meaning in their dead-end jobs, worry about the AIDS crisis and boogie to "My Sharona" in convenience stores.

'The Visit' (2015)

Writer-director M. Night Shyamalan ("The Sixth Sense," "Signs") has been freaking us out with his filmography for decades, and this suspenseful 2015 horror-thriller is no exception. A return to form for the scare-loving auteur, "The Visit" is a found-footage-style flick centered on a pair of young siblings, Becca (Olivia DeJonge) and Tyler (Ed Oxenbould), who are forced by their mother (Kathryn Hahn) to spend five days with their estranged grandparents in the remote Pennsylvania countryside.

Becca, an aspiring filmmaker, decides to chronicle their trip as a family documentary for their mom. However, during their stay, the kiddos begin noticing bizarre behaviors from the elders and strange circumstances on their farm, leading the brother-sister pair to wonder whether or not Grandma and Grandpa are exactly who they say they are.

'Overboard' (1987)

Just a month after the 2018 Anna Faris-led remake left the streaming platform, the 1987 original "Overboard" is also shoving off from Prime Video on October 31. Starring IRL couple-goals pair Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, the Garry Marshall-directed rom-com classic centers on spoiled, wealthy socialite Joanna Mintz Stayton (Hawn), who, after suffering a head injury aboard a yacht, suffers amnesia and is taken in by Dean Proffitt (Russell), a working-class carpenter whom she previously mistreated and who now has revenge on the brain.

He tells the hospital that Joanna is his wife and the mother of his children, and soon Hawn's character is left dealing with Dean's four unruly sons and messy household chores. Of course, this being a romantic comedy, Dean's scam eventually sees the odd couple develop genuine feelings for each other, adding a heartwarming quality to what should be an admittedly creepy premise.

Every week, I comb through the latest additions to Prime Video and pick out the best recently added thriller movies to help you add a little bit of excitement to your watchlist.

October is drawing to a close, which is bad news for fans of Spooky Season, but on the flipside, it does mean that Prime Video’s big movie drop on the first of the new month is almost here. However, October isn’t over yet, and I’ve picked out a couple of thrillers worth watching from this month’s slate, alongside a new arrival dropping on November 1.

These are the three new to Prime Video thriller movies I recommend you stream this week, including a modern Bond blockbuster, a post-apocalyptic action sequel, and a gripping psychological trip that builds to one heck of a twist. Get these thriller movies on your watchlist now.

3 best new to Prime Video thriller movies this week

‘Skyfall’ (2012)

I wouldn’t label “Skyfall” my favorite James Bond movie of the Daniel Craig era; that would be his debut “Casino Royale.” However, for sheer blockbuster excitement and exhilarating action set pieces, “Skyfall” is hard to top. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that the introduction is phenomenal, building up to perhaps the best Bond theme song of all time, sung by Adele. “Skyfall” hits all the classic Bond beats while also exploring the character’s traumatic past.

Following a mission gone wrong in Istanbul, James Bond (Craig) is on the trail of an ex-MI6 agent who has stolen a hard drive containing the identities of numerous undercover agents. The mastermind behind the sinister scheme is Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem), who has a very personal vendetta against Bond’s handler, M (Judi Dench). To thwart this latest threat to global security, Bond is forced to confront his tragic youth, growing up in the Scottish Highlands.

‘Apocalypse Z: New World’ (2026)

2024’s “Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End” was an original movie success story for Prime Video. The Spanish-language zombie flick certainly didn’t reinvent the genre wheel — and seemed to take inspiration from the PlayStation-published video game Days Gone — but it made its mark on the global top 10 and became the platform’s most-watched international Original (later surpassed by “Your Fault”). Two years later, we’ve got a sequel arriving this week.

The follow-up is called “Apocalypse Z: New World,” and like the original, is directed by Carles Torrens. Lúculo, the adorable feline star of “The Beginning of the End,” is also back. However, human star Francisco Ortiz isn’t reprising his role as Carlos; instead, the new protagonist is Carlos Alcaide’s Roberto, who sets out from the refuge of the zombie-free Canary Islands to the mainland in search of vital supplies. Once there, Roberto and his companions face infected hordes, divided loyalties and hidden ulterior motives.

‘Blink Twice’ (2024)

Naomi Ackie can currently be seen on the big screen in DC’s new horror “Clayface,” which makes now as good a time as any to stream “Blink Twice,” a 2024 psychological thriller directed by Zoë Kravitz and starring Ackie alongside Channing Tatum. It’s a well-constructed thriller that slowly builds the tension and sense of dread before culminating in a shocking twist. Ackie is excellent as the point-of-view character, while Tatum gives equally strong support.

Frida (Ackie) is a cocktail waitress at a swanky party where she meets charming tech tycoon Slater King (Tatum). Invited to his private island for a vacation of unparalleled luxury, Frida and her friend Jess (Alia Shawkat) initially think they’ve arrived in paradise. But as lazy sun-soaked days slip into nights of partying, Frida can’t shake the feeling that somebody isn’t quite right. And eventually her suspicions are confirmed when dark truths surface.

Halloween week is finally upon us, so it’s only right that I picked out an ultra nasty slasher from the latest top 10 Prime Video movies chart. I’ve Sherlocked my way through the streamer’s latest additions to bring you a trio of choices I hope you’ll enjoy.

Prime Video’s top 10 can vary from week to week, and the latest updated chart follows that path. There’s one genuine stinker in there for my money, but most of the flicks are at least inoffensive. The picks I’ve opted for include the late update of a truly iconic horror franchise, a new Ryan Gosling-produced romantic drama, and John Wick kicking all the keester in a extremely fun sequel.

The movies below are taken from Prime Video’s top 10 as of Monday, October 26, 2026. So try not to let Ghostface slice and dice your TV so that you can enjoy my picks of chart-topping flicks that are worth your time this week.

‘Scream 7' (2026)

As the original slasher’s late Stu Macher once screeched: “It’s gonna be a scream, baby!” And y’know what? For a seventh entry, “Scream 7” is a surprisingly sharp horror flick. Wait, did I say “late Stu Macher”? Thanks to an early plot reveal — this really isn’t a spoiler — it turns out Macher might still be alive, even though Sidney Prescott very much dropped a giant CRT TV on his demented head.

Has one of the OG Ghostface killers somehow survived or are AI deepfakes at play? The movie has fun with this premise, resulting in some surprising cameos. As for Sidney (Neve Campbell), she’s moved away from Woodsboro and is now living in Pine Grove, Indiana with her husband Mark (Joel McHale) and their daughter Tatum (Isabel May). Of course, this being "Scream," another Ghostface is soon on the loose and targeting Tatum and her teenage chums. The final act’s reveal disappoints, but the kills in “Scream 7” are brilliantly brutal, and the opening scene set in Macher’s house is an all-timer.

‘Love of Your Life’ (2026)

Forgive me for coming to this tear-inducing drama as a Margaret Qualley fan who has only recently watched her in 2024’s “The Substance." Needless to say, the jump from gruesome body horror to tender weeper took some adjustment. In this new Prime Original, Qualley plays young Bostonian nurse Maya who falls for the handsome Charlie (The Night’s Agent’s Gabriel Basso) after buying a set of drawers from him. No, really.

In an effort to process her grief, she becomes a digital nomad, hooking up with randoms in glamorous cities like Lisbon and Luxembourg. It’s only when she meets charming single dad Felix (Aaron Pierre) that she can start to address her past trauma. Look, this is a paint-by-numbers exploration of heartbreak and loss, but the cast do well with the script they’re given and there’s no question the picturesque scenery helps proceedings. And yes, Ryan Gosling did actually help produce this.

'John Wick: Chapter 4' (2023)

Four entries in, you really think the bad guys would stop messing with Keanu Reeves’ titular assassin. At this point, Wick is more unkillable than a Terminator riding a T-Rex. Alas, the evil High Table just can’t take a lesson, so after John killed their leader last time out, they recruit Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise … sorry, the Marquis Vincent de Gramont to eliminate Wick and his allies. Apologies, I get campy nobleman and killer clowns mixed up all the time.

After Gramont destroys the New York Continental, Wick is forced on a globe-hopping quest that eventually concludes with a pistols-at-dawn showdown in Paris. Before that, John is reunited with some familiar faces, and it continues to be a pleasure to see that Keanu can pull off the series’ legendary fight choreography so convincingly. Once again, the gun fu is utterly on point here. Donnie Yen is also a welcome addition, and his blind hitman’s breathtaking clash with Wick is arguably the highlight of the movie.

Are you already fatigued by Halloween content? Yes, the weeks leading up to All Hallows' Eve can feel like a relentless stream of spooky series and sinister flicks, so sometimes we want something a little less in the holiday spirit. Rom-com fans can swoon over "Love in Disguise," a new South Korean office romance series that follows a conglomerate heir and his new secretary, who just happens to secretly be a former special forces officer now working undercover.

And if you do want a little taste of Halloween goodness, there's a festive new edition of Britain's "Last One Laughing," in which the comedian contestants not only have to keep a straight face but also refrain from screaming or they receive a penalty.

Without further ado, here are three top picks that are worth streaming on Prime Video this weekend.

'The Terminal List' season 2

What it’s about: More than four years after the series' debut on Prime Video, Chris Pratt is back as former Navy SEAL James Reece. With his personal revenge list from season one officially completed, Reece is now a fugitive and hiding out in Mozambique—that is, until the CIA tracks him down and tasks him with taking down a dangerous international terrorist network in exchange for a presidential pardon. His globe-trotting efforts see Reece cross paths with CIA officer Freddy Strain (Gabriel Luna) and slick mercenary Jules Landry (Luke Hemsworth), among others.

Why you should watch it: The military thriller series has been a massive hit for the Amazon streaming service, especially if you're a fan of similarly tense action-thrillers like "Reacher" and "Jack Ryan." And season two is only going to get bigger—the eight-episode follow-up will expand Reece's story to exotic international locales, from Europe to the Middle East to North Africa.

'Last One Laughing: Halloween'

What it’s about: The UK edition of "Last One Laughing" returns on October 23 on Prime Video, but this time with a Halloween twist. Throughout the four-part special, our famously funny contestants—including Jack Dee, Daisy May Cooper, Phil Wang, Lou Sanders, Reece Shearsmith, Harriet Dyer and Tom Allen, who join series host Jimmy Carr and deputy Roisin Conaty—not only aren't allowed to laugh but also to scream, which is made far more difficult thanks to jump scares and spooky gags throughout.

Why you should watch it: The "Last One Laughing" franchise is well-loved by viewers (the comedic competition has a strong 97% Popcornmeter rating on Rotten Tomatoes) thanks to the simple, silly pleasure of watching a group of comedians get locked in a room for hours and try to make each other laugh. Consider the Halloween edition a lighthearted reprieve from the holiday's usually much darker fare.

'Love in Disguise'

What it’s about: Equal parts workplace rom-com and mystery series, this 12-episode South Korean comedy stars Seol In-ah as Kang Jae-hee, a former special forces officer turned police detective, who is assigned to investigate cold-blooded conglomerate heir and murder suspect Yoon Yi-jun (Yim Si-wan). To do so, she pulls a Yentl, disguising herself as a man and infiltrating his team as a male secretary to get close to Yi-jun. Things get exponentially more complicated, however, when romantic feelings start developing between the pair.

Why you should watch it: "Love in Disguise" was already a hit before it premiered on Prime Video—it's based on the viral web novel and webtoon "Why Don’t You Know It’s a Girl?," which garnered over 8.15 million views. Like its source material, the new rom-com stands out from other genre titles thanks to its fun play on gender dynamics and sexual identity.

For streaming movies, Prime Video is one of the best places to go. In fact, Prime Video added over 130 new movies this month, and it's packed with gems. If horror is your genre of choice, you're in a great spot as a Prime subscriber, but October's release list has something for everyone.

For my money, the best movie from October's new arrivals is "Scream 7," the latest in the long line of Ghostface movies and, I feel, a return to form for the franchise. Critics don't necessarily agree with me; the film has a droopy 30% on Rotten Tomatoes, but don't let that stop you — there's plenty of slasher fun in this film. Just think of it as a guilty pleasure and have a good time!

If you're more of a classic movie fan, it's hard to beat the original "Rocky." This is easily one of the most quotable movies of all time, and it'll set you up to watch the rest of the films again (or for the first time) since they all hit Prime Video this month.

Finally, one of the greatest horror movies of all time rounds out the list: Prime Video now has "Hereditary." If you like gripping psychological horror that'll take you on an emotional roller coaster, you have to watch this movie.

I had to double up on the horror this week, as we're just a few days away from Halloween. But if you need a classic as a palate cleanser, "Rocky" is here to save the day.

‘Scream 7’ (2026)

What's your favorite scary movie? I'll be honest: I don't expect you to answer "Scream 7" after watching it. But I think you'll enjoy the goofy slasher style that makes "Scream" such a long-running franchise, and one the horror community respects.

You can't go out on Halloween without seeing someone walking around in the iconic Ghostface mask. "Scream 7" isn't the best movie in the series by any stretch (the original still holds that title), but it's a solid enough return to form that fans of the originals and a younger generation of horror fans will find something to like, especially the performance of McKenna Grace (also, watch the Ice Nine Kills music video for the song Twisting the Knife, which features Grace as a guest vocalist and is themed around the movie), who really carries the film.

'Rocky" (1976)

I'm tempted to just throw in a bunch of "Rocky" quotes and call it a day, but chances are you've already seen the movie and know the famous lines as well as I do. In fact, there isn't much I can say about the original "Rocky" that you haven't read somewhere or heard uttered on YouTube before.

I'll put it like this: "Rocky" is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I'm always happy to return to it every couple of years. With the entire series dropping on Prime (including the "Creed" movies, which I've never seen), I think I feel a marathon coming for this weekend. Now, if you would be so kind as to "Cut me, Mick," so I can start watching.

'Hereditary' (2018)

"Scream 7" may be the horror movie on the list with that hot new-release smell; it also has a certain amount of goofiness. "Hereditary," on the other hand, has 0% lighthearted fun. It's dark. It's forboding. It's unpleasant (in the best possible way). You will be left thinking about what you just witnessed after watching this movie for the first time, which is one of the best (and sometimes one of the worst) feelings.

Ari Aster's directorial debut shows he has serious chops. In fact, we featured "Midsommar," another Aster movie, on our best Prime Video films to stream for Halloween rundown. I don't want to say too much about the plot so as not to spoil the fun twists and turns, but know that it goes places... Dark, horrible and entertaining places.

As it does at the start of every month, Prime Video adds a boatload of new movies and shows. The new on Prime Video October 2026 line-up features some genuine classics, including “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark," “The Godfather" and “Blade Runner: The Final Cut." Yet it’s another Ridley Scott flick I want to recommend to you this week, though sadly there will be no C-beams glittering in the dark near Tannhäuser Gate this time out.

Everyone also talks about “Alien” or “Gladiator” when discussing the legendary director's storied filmography, and for good reason. They’re both five-star classics. Yet it’s “Thelma and Louise” I’m pitching for your streaming consideration this week. Not only is this one of the great road movies, but I’d also argue it’s one of the three best films Scott has ever made. Following the titular leads as a planned weekend road trip soon goes horribly homicidal, the pair attempt to flee to Mexico with an armada of cranky cops in hot pursuit.

A tender tale of female bonding under the most stressful of circumstances, with a strong script and a terrific supporting cast that includes Harvey Keitel, “Thelma and Louise” is easily one of my favourite Ridley Scott movies. Oh, and fans of shirtless Brad Pitt? Hop on in. This road trip is just getting started. Now let's get the GPS for Prime Video Boulevard.

What is ‘Thelma & Louise’ about?

Thelma Dickinson (Geena Davies) and Louise Sawyer (Susan Sarandon) are best buds, but they’re both in serious need of some weekend fun. So with the pair deciding to ditch their respective controlling husband and crummy waitressing job, they head off to a fishing cabin to unwind.

Sadly things go south after the stop over at a roadside honky tonk bar. After warding off a sexual assault on Themla, Louise shoots the perpator dead, and our duo are forced on the run. The plan? Get to the Mexican border… and maybe rob a few drugstores along the way. Hey, a girl’s got to eat, right?

Why you should stream ‘Thelma & Louise’ on Prime Video

I slept on this 1991 exceptional comedy-drama for an embarrassing amount of time. I didn’t actually get around to watching it until I was in my late 30s. I totally blame “The Simpsons” fifth season episode “Marge on the Lam” for that. It gives away the ending of “Thelma & Louise” as it affectionately ribs its story beats; you need to stream this famous ep on Disney+ after you’ve finished watching Scott’s buddy dramadey.

Often cited as a landmark feminist film, you fall in love with both Thelma and Louise within moments of them appearing onscreen. As the cops get closer to catching them, the pair’s bond only strengthens, and they’re all too ready to stick it to the patriarchy after being mistreated by guys their whole lives.

Both the small and bombastic moments in “Thelma and Louise” really resonate with me. The third-act scene where our rebellious pair shoot the fuel tanker of a trucker who has repeatedly made obscene gestures towards them is the obvious pick.

Yet the moment that gets me every time occurs around the 70th minute mark. A forlorn Louise sits in her Ford Thunderbird, then briefly catches a glimpse of an old woman sitting across in a diner. You can sense this stranger instantly feels Louise’s inner pain, and the beautiful, wordless exchange is underpinned by Hans Zimmer's wonderful score. It’s a fabulous moment of quiet regret and out-of-the-blue empathy.

That theme returns — albeit in more rousing fashion — during the film’s now legendary face-off on the edge of the Grand Canyon. Will our heroes finally give in and accept defeat? Or embrace the ultimate act of defiance? Alongside “Gladiator”, it's the most touching ending Scott has directed over his career, tinged with sadness but also truly uplifting.

Currently, "Thelma & Louise" sits in fourth place on Rotten Tomatoes rankings of the highest rated Ridley Scott movies, with a score of 87%.

The critical consensus? “Driven by ride-or-die chemistry between Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon while director Ridley Scott provides scorching visuals fit for a postcard, Thelma & Louise is a feminist adventure that's equal parts provocative and rollicking.” I couldn’t agree more. This is a seminal road movie that shows just how far true friends will go for one another, no matter the cost.

Praised for its balance of historical realism and emotional heft, "A Small Light" achieved that TV rarity: a perfect 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics praised the wartime series as "a sensitive portrait of heroism in the face of all-encompassing tragedy."

'A Gentleman in Moscow'

An adaptation of Amor Towles’s internationally best-selling novel, this 2024 British series stars Emmy winner Ewan McGregor as the titular (albeit fictional) gentleman, Count Alexander Rostov, an aristocrat who is sentenced to house arrest by a Bolshevik tribunal following the October Revolution and spends those decades confined inside the grand Hotel Metropol in Moscow.

Over the eight-part historical drama, we watch as the Count's confinement surprisingly opens him up to meeting some lifelong companions, including the hotel staff, visiting actress Anna Urbanova (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and the young Sofia (Beau Gadsdon), the daughter of Rostov's childhood friend, whom he adopts when her mother disappears into the Soviet system.

'Hatfields & McCoys'

Kevin Costner's always been a bit of a history buff, particularly when it comes to the American West — just look at "Dances with Wolves," "Wyatt Earp," "Yellowstone," and "Horizon: An American Saga" as proof. This 2012 History Channel miniseries continues that proclivity: The six-hour, three-episode epic chronicles the decades-spanning, post-Civil War feud between two Appalachian clans, the Hatfields (led by Costner as William Anderson "Devil Anse" Hatfield) and the McCoys (with Bill Paxton as his rival, Randolph "Randall" McCoy).

"Hatfields & McCoys" received a whopping 16 Emmy nominations and five wins, including for Costner's gritty, commanding lead performance as well as a supporting-actor trophy for Tom Berenger, as Confederate guerrilla Jim Vance.

Prime Video’s top 10 is always worth a look if you’re hunting for your next binge, but not every popular show deserves a spot on your watchlist. One of the best shows I’ve watched this year has to be Mike Flanagan’s “Carrie,” a fresh take on Stephen King’s classic 1974 horror novel. The eight-episode format gives the story more room to breathe, allowing us to spend more time with Carrie and the people around her as her life starts to spiral out of control.

I also love how Flanagan brings the story into the modern world, with social media and the pressures of high school adding a new dimension to Carrie’s experiences. It’s a more character-driven take on a familiar story, and one I found surprisingly emotional as well as deeply unsettling.

Carrie White (Summer H. Howell) is a teenage girl raised in isolation by her fiercely protective mother, Margaret (Samantha Sloyan). After her father’s sudden death, Carrie is forced to leave her sheltered life behind and navigate the unfamiliar world of public high school.

As she struggles to fit in, a horrible bullying incident spreads across her community through social media, drawing unwanted attention to her personal life. Meanwhile, Carrie begins discovering mysterious telekinetic abilities that allow her to move objects with her mind.

‘Seeking Persephone’

“Seeking Persephone” is a four-episode Regency-era romantic drama based on Sarah M. Eden’s bestselling novel of the same name. The series follows a traditional period romance format, with sweeping country estates, candlelit ballrooms, elegant costumes and plenty of romantic tension.

Visually reminiscent of “Bridgerton,” “Pride & Prejudice” and “North & South,” the independently produced adaptation became a viral sensation on TikTok before landing on Peacock and Prime Video. Expect a slow-burning love story filled with emotional friction and a romance that takes its time to unfold.

Set in Regency-era England, “Seeking Persephone” follows Persephone Lancaster (Ryann Bailey), a young woman who agrees to marry Adam Boyce (Jake Stormoen), the mysterious and scarred Duke of Kielder, to save her family from financial ruin.

After the wedding, she moves into his imposing castle, where Adam keeps his new wife at a distance and makes it difficult for her to settle into her unfamiliar surroundings. However, Persephone gradually discovers glimpses of the man behind his intimidating reputation and hopes they can build a life together.

‘The Terminal List’

“The Terminal List” is back in the top 10 following the release of its second season, which arrives four years after the first. Based on Jack Carr’s novel “True Believer,” the new season expands the story across international locations.

The series once again delivers intense combat sequences, military operations and a revenge-driven storyline, making it a strong pick for fans of “Reacher” and “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.” If you’re looking for a tense action-thriller to stream this weekend, this one deserves a spot on your watchlist. Plus, all eight episodes of the second season have dropped at once.

James Reece (Chris Pratt) is a Navy SEAL commander whose entire platoon is killed during a disastrous overseas mission. After returning home with conflicting memories of the operation, Reece begins investigating what happened and discovers evidence of a conspiracy.

When his wife and daughter are murdered, he sets out to track down those responsible, using the combat skills he has developed over nearly two decades of military service. Halloween is the perfect excuse to turn off the lights, grab your favorite snacks and spend the evening watching something that will make you regret looking down a dark hallway. So, I’ve picked out five of the best movies to stream on Prime Video this Halloween.

‘Candyman’ (1992)

If you’re a classic horror fan, “Candyman” is one of those movies that deserves a spot on your watchlist. Based on Clive Barker’s short story “The Forbidden,” this supernatural horror puts a fresh spin on the slasher genre, building a creepy atmosphere around an urban legend that’s far more tragic than your typical masked killer. Rather than relying on constant jump scares, the movie takes its time building a sense of dread, with Tony Todd delivering an unforgettable performance as the titular figure. Todd also helped shape the character’s backstory.

Graduate student Helen Lyle (Virginia Madsen) investigates urban legends for her university thesis, becoming fascinated by a terrifying story circulating around Chicago’s Cabrini-Green housing project. According to local residents, Candyman (Tony Todd) is a supernatural killer with a hook for a hand who appears when someone repeats his name five times in front of a mirror. Dismissing the warnings as superstition, Helen investigates a series of brutal murders connected to the legend. However, as she digs deeper, she encounters a sinister presence that threatens her life.

‘Hereditary’ (2018)

One of the best (and scariest) horror movies ever made has to be “Hereditary.” Ari Aster’s feature directorial debut is essential viewing for anyone who loves horror that gets under their skin. Released by A24, the film became a major hit with critics and audiences, helping cement Aster as one of modern horror’s most exciting directors. Toni Collette is phenomenal in what I’d argue is one of her strongest performances, and the movie features a scene that’s genuinely difficult to forget. Just be prepared for a bleak, deeply unsettling watch.

After the death of her estranged mother, artist Annie Graham (Toni Collette) struggles to keep her family together alongside her husband and their children, Peter (Alex Wolff) and Charlie (Milly Shapiro). As they attempt to move forward, disturbing events begin to unravel their already fragile household. When another devastating tragedy strikes, the family finds themselves increasingly isolated as strange occurrences continue around their home. Annie starts investigating her mother's past, uncovering unsettling secrets about her ancestry and connections that stretch back generations.

‘Midsommar’ (2019)

Aster followed “Hereditary” with “Midsommar,” a folk horror movie that takes a very different approach to building dread. Rather than hiding its horrors in the shadows, the film unfolds almost entirely in the bright, seemingly endless daylight of a Scandinavian midsummer festival. That contrast makes the increasingly disturbing events feel even more unsettling, while the stunning visuals give the movie a distinctive look that’s hard to forget. The score, composed by Bobby Krlic, also deserves a mention. It’s a striking, deeply unsettling take on folk horror.

Dani (Florence Pugh) joins her increasingly distant boyfriend, Christian (Jack Reynor), and his friends on a trip to a remote village in Sweden after a devastating family tragedy. Their destination is a midsummer festival hosted by a secluded community, where the sun barely sets and the locals welcome visitors with open arms. Initially, the group treats the trip as an opportunity to experience unfamiliar customs and traditions. However, as the celebrations continue, the villagers’ unusual ceremonies become increasingly disturbing, and the visitors begin to realize that something is seriously wrong.

‘Pearl’ (2022)

Ti West’s “Pearl” is a striking psychological slasher that takes the “X” trilogy in a very different direction. Co-written by West and star Mia Goth, this prequel explores the origins of the character first introduced in “X,” following a young woman who dreams of becoming a movie star while living on an isolated farm in 1918. One of the film’s most distinctive features is its vibrant, Technicolor-inspired look, which feels closer to classic Hollywood musicals like “The Wizard of Oz” than your typical horror movie.

Set in 1918 Texas, “Pearl” follows a young woman (Mia Goth) living on an isolated farm with her strict mother and a father who requires constant care. While her husband is away serving in World War I, Pearl dreams of escaping her confined life and becoming a glamorous movie star. Inspired by the films she watches at the local cinema, she longs for an opportunity to showcase her talents and pursue a more exciting future. When she learns about an audition for a traveling dance troupe, Pearl sees a potential way out. However, a series of disturbing incidents threatens to derail her ambitions.

‘The Thing’ (1982)

One of my favorite sci-fi horror movies of all time has to be John Carpenter’s “The Thing.” It’s a masterclass in paranoia-driven horror, with an atmosphere so tense and claustrophobic that you can practically feel the dread creeping in. But what really makes this movie stand out is its incredible practical effects, created by Rob Bottin and Stan Winston. The grotesque transformations, tearing flesh and nightmarish creature designs are still seriously impressive today, especially considering they were achieved without modern CGI. Alongside “Alien” and “The Fly,” it’s essential viewing.

A team of American researchers are stationed at a remote outpost in the frozen wilderness of Antarctica. Their routine changes when a helicopter crew attempts to shoot a stray sled dog, which eventually finds its way into their camp. The researchers soon discover that the animal is actually an alien organism capable of imitating other living creatures. As the shape-shifting creature begins attacking the team, helicopter pilot R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell) takes charge of the desperate fight to stop it. The remaining crew must determine who, if anyone, is still human.

Every week I comb through the latest movie arrivals on Prime Video to pick out a trio of great thriller flicks for your watchlist. I love the genre, and it’s pretty clear that many of my fellow subscribers do as well. After all, thrillers regularly rank highly in the Prime Video top 10.

The good news is that I’ve found three strong picks this week. There’s a new Prime original movie which centers on a dysfunctional family coming together to pull off the heist of a lifetime. Or how about the Sean Connery-fronted Bond movie that kickstarted one of Hollywood’s most bankable blockbuster series? And you shouldn't overlook Keanu Reeves kicking some serious butt in one of the best revenge action-thrillers of the 21st century. I’m, of course, talking about Mr. Wick.

So, without further teasing, these are the three new to Prime Video thriller movies you need to watch this week.

3 best new to Prime Video thriller movies this week

‘Masterplan’ (2026)

Prime Video dropped two new original movies last week. While romantic drama “Love of Your Life” went straight to No. 1, heist caper “Masterplan” has had to settle for third place, behind its fellow original and slasher sequel “Scream 7.” Maybe that’s because this breezy comedic-leaning thriller is a little forgettable. On the plus side, it does star Stanley Tucci, and the charismatic actor is in good form as a legendary thief planning the score of a lifetime.

So what valuable object is being stolen in this heist movie? That would be the Mona Lisa, the world’s most famous and priceless painting. To acquire the masterwork, Tucci’s experienced thief recruits two young criminals, a hacker (Simona Tabasco) and a demolitions expert (Victor Belmondo), who are soon revealed to be his estranged children. Yup, this isn’t just a daring heist; it’s also a chaotic family reunion. And getting this fractured family to work together in harmony might be even tougher than stealing the world’s most well-guarded painting.

'Dr. No’ (1962)

Prime Video added all the James Bond movies to kickstart October. It’s not the first time the entire 007 collection has been available on Amazon’s streaming service, and last time they disappeared surprisingly fast, so my advice is to get watching as soon as possible. Naturally, if you’re a Bond newcomer or have only seen the modern Craig era, you’ll want to start at the beginning: 1962’s “Dr. No,” which introduced viewers to Britain’s most suave secret agent.

Bond’s first big-screen adventure might be more than 60 years old, but it’s held up remarkably well. Okay, so the movie’s attitude towards women hasn’t aged so gracefully, but putting 007’s womanizing ways aside, “Dr. No” is a thrilling spy movie that created several of the franchise’s trademark elements still used to this day. Sean Connery plays the iconic spy, and in his debut film, he’s on the trail of the eponymous Dr. No (Joseph Wiseman), a genius but sinister scientist, with dastardly plans to sabotage a U.S. space launch.

‘John Wick’ (2014)

Speaking of full franchises now on Prime Video, “John Wick’s” entire run to date is now streaming. The “Ballerina” spin-off is over on HBO Max, but you can watch Mr. Wick’s campaign for revenge from start to its current finish on Prime. Picking a personal favorite is very tough; all four mainline “John Wick” movies are fantastic, so I’ll go with the obvious choice: the movie that started it all. Keanu Reeves has never been cooler (sorry, Neo), and this revenge story is extremely easy to get invested in because it revolves around a dog!

The titular John Wick (Reeves) is still reeling from the death of his beloved wife when he receives a final gift from his partner, a truly adorable beagle puppy. This pooch helps him heal. But when a group of Russian mobsters breaks into Wick’s home to steal his classic Mustang, they cruelly kill the dog in an act of needless violence. But what they don’t know is that Wick is a former assassin, feared even in the darkest corners of the criminal underworld. Now on the warpath, Wick will stop at nothing to get his payback on those who wronged him.

We’re getting ever closer to Halloween, and there’s plenty of scares to be had in Prime Video’s top 10 movie chart this week. I’ve combed through the platform’s weekly hits to find the films worthy of your precious streaming time.

Prime Video’s top 10 usually isn’t stuffed full of bona fide classics, and this week is no different. Still, I think you’ll enjoy the trio of picks I’ve gone with, which include an emotional new drama starring Margaret Qualley, the latest entry in an iconic horror series and a light-hearted criminal caper led by Stanley Tucci.

The movies below are taken from Prime Video’s top 10 as of Monday, October 19, 2026. So break out the teeth-rotting treats and prepare to laugh, cry and gasp at my pick of flicks that are actually worth streaming.

‘Love of Your Life’ (2026)

Get your hankies ready for a new weepy. Following nurse Maya (Margaret Qualley), a pandemic-related tragedy sees the Boston healer up sticks to Europe, where she becomes a reclusive digital nomad. Unlike the rest of us who spent our time rewatching old episodes of "DuckTales" during lockdown, Maya ends up flitting through unfulfilling casual relationships, which only worsens her grief.

Qualley once again impresses in a leading role, even if the material is a little sappy. Still, the supporting cast, including Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aaron Pierre and Gabriel Basso, is reasonably strong and the globe-hopping plot, which takes in Lisbon, Luxembourg and Tokyo, is handsomely shot. Perhaps the most surprising thing about “Love of Your Life”? It’s produced by Ryan Gosling. Sadly for fans of “Drive,” there’s a distinct lack of action in this sincere, well-meaning drama.

‘Scream 7' (2026)

Sidney Prescott returns to the iconic horror franchise after star Neve Campbell sat “Scream 6” out due to a pay dispute. One of the OG Final Girls, it’s great to see the series’ main star back and dueling yet another version of Ghostface. Considering we’re now seven slashers in, it’s impressive that “Scream 7” still has the appetite for the kill.

This time out we’re treated to a very different version of Sidney. Now happily married and a protective mom to Tatam (Isabel May), our hero’s suburban life is turned upside down when a new Ghostface turns up to slice and dice. Or should that be an old Ghostface? The movie has some fun playing around with the notion of AI deepfakes, resulting in a few surprising cameos. The opening scene set in the original film’s infamous house and one kill that feels like it’s been lifted from “Final Destination” are particular highlights.

‘Masterplan’ (2026)

You’ve got to admire Stanley Tucci. Not only does he seem to spend most of his existence travelling while making fettuccine so delicious you want to dive into your TV, he seemingly has a “movie must be set in Italy” clause in any new project. In fairness, only part of “Masterplan” is set in the land of pasta (an early heist in Lake Como), with the main action taking Tucci’s talented thief to Paris.

Why is this pilfering scoundrel in the City of Love with a couple of up-and-coming heists artists? To steal the Mona Lisa from the Louvre. Obviously. There’s an early(ish) reveal that further juices up proceedings too. Though at first ambitious thieves Chiara (Simona Tabasco) and Jay (Victor Belmondo) appear to have little in common other than a talent for stealing stuff, they actually have a deeper hidden connection. This crime comedy is breezy and good-natured, with Tucci in typically good form.

It's technically fall, but the heat wave and rain in the wake of Hurricane Isaias has me sweating too much to really believe that. With the weather finally cooling off, a cozy weekend inside catching up on my watchlist is on the docket. Perfect timing too, because Prime Video added over 130 new movies this month, including everything from slick original heist capers, poignant romantic dramas, and a supernatural caper that's nearly as bad as critics made it out to be.

Leading the pack of new arrivals is "Masterplan," an original globe-trotting thriller starring Stanley Tucci as a master thief who recruits two strangers to steal the Mona Lisa — only for it to be the most awkward family reunion imaginable. If you're in the mood for an emotional romance, Margaret Qualley and Aaron Pierre star in "Love of Your Life," a sweeping look at how a sudden twist of fate can redefine everything you thought you knew about love.

And for those who don't mind a guilty pleasure watch to kill an afternoon from time to time, might I suggest Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds' chaotic supernatural caper "R.I.P.D."? It's the "Men in Black" we have at home, a messy but undeniably fun ride that's worth watching for Bridges' bumbling swagger alone.

Whether you're looking for high-stakes heists, heartwarming romance, or otherworldly comedy, here are the three new-to-Prime Video movies you should add to your watchlist this weekend:

‘Masterplan’ (2026)

Stanley Tucci is an enigma to me. He never disappears into the characters he plays, but his effortless charm is so infectious it leaves me smiling like an idiot at the end of every movie he's in. In "Masterplan," he once again plays a heightened version of himself that somehow just works — a master thief named Roger who takes on one last job before retirement: stealing the Mona Lisa.

Obviously, he can't pull off a heist like that alone, so he recruits Italian tech whiz Chiara (Simona Tabasco) and French explosive specialist Jay (Victor Belmondo). There's just one catch: They're actually his long-lost children. Expect plenty of laughs as this estranged family struggles to work together without tearing each other apart.

'Love of Your Life' (2026)

For a refreshingly mature romance with a little more heart and substance, look no further than “Love of Your Life,” Prime Video's latest romantic drama from Oscar-nominated cinematographer Rachel Morrison. When fiercely independent nurse Maya (Margaret Qualley) crosses paths with Charlie (Gabriel Basso), an adorably extroverted nerd, at age 26, it sets the stage for a future neither could have imagined.

The two begin building a life together, only for their happy ending to be tragically upended. As Maya finds her footing again in the years after, she navigates all the pitfalls of new relationships and difficult life decisions while figuring out how to shape the next chapter of her life. The supporting cast includes Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Catherine Keener.

'R.I.P.D.' (2013)

"R.I.P.D." got a lot of (largely well-deserved) flak from critics when it tanked at the box office back in 2013. But as one of several guilty pleasure watches on rotation in my household, I argue this train wreck needs to be seen at least once, for Jeff Bridges, if nothing else, as Roycephus "Roy" Pulsipher, who's a cross between The Dude and Rooster Cogburn with a penchant for women's ankles in this campy science fiction hootenanny.

Ryan Reynolds is just as hilarious as the straight man Nick, a Boston police officer who gets killed in the line of duty and recruited into the Rest In Peace Department, an agency that tracks down the spirits of those who refuse to pass on into the afterlife. (Trust me, the less you think about it, the better.) Roy isn't thrilled to get saddled with babysitting the new recruit, but when they uncover a dangerous conspiracy with ties to Nick's murder, it's just the kind of interesting case he's been begging for. With hilariously disgusting special effects and all-around ridiculousness, "R.I.P.D." is more fun than it has any right to be.

'Carrie' (2026)

What it’s about: In this modern update of a horror classic, Carrie White is played by Summer H. Howell. The action picks up right after the bright but socially ostracized teen loses her father. Having been homeschooled her whole life, the sudden passing of her parent forces Carrie to attend public school for the first time. Cue a vicious cycle of bullying from her classmates that touches upon the perils of social media abuse. The mental anguish Carrie suffers soon awakens telekinetic abilities, culminating in a famously bloody prom night.

Why you should watch it: A reimagination of Brian De Palma’s iconic 1977 horror film, which was based on the hit Stephen King novel, “Carrie” is the ideal binge-watch for this Halloween season. The modern take on teen bullying hits hard, and newcomer Howell is absolutely superb in the titular role.

'Helluva Boss' (2019)

What it’s about: A dark adult animation that follows the musical misadventures of I.M.P. (Immediate Murder Professionals). This not-so-merry band of demonic assassins is tasked with handling the wet work of disgruntled sinners serving eternity in Hell, all of whom want to enact revenge on the living. I.M.P.’s leader Blitzo and their team can’t reach Earth without a magic book, so the loud-mouthed ghoul is forced into a romance with the demon prince Stolas, who just so happens to possess such a supernatural tome.

Why you should watch it: “Helluva Boss” has come a hell of a long way since its origins as an animated YouTube sketch series. Season three is the longest yet, with a promised 15 episodes (the last eight are set to air in 2027). The show’s demented laughs and colorful musical numbers deliver twisted good times.

'Chucky' (2021)

What it’s about: The most famous killer doll in the history of cinema comes to the small screen in a three-season show that combines chuckles and knife-wielding deaths. Unlike the movies, this streaming hit features flashbacks that lift the lid on Chucky’s past to a time when he was known as the Lakeshore Strangler. In the present, the former Charles Lee Ray terrorizes a town in New Jersey after he’s picked up by a lonely teen. Fan favorites from the flicks also return, including Jennifer Tilly’s Tiffany Valentine — our devil doll’s love interest first seen in 1998’s “Bride of Chucky”.

Why you should watch it: Brad Dourif is in typically delicious form playing the Good Guy doll gone bad. Though season one is relatively grounded (well, by killer doll standards), the action soon escalates, with the possessed proceedings eventually reaching the White House. Do we wanna play, Chucky? You bet!

The eight-episode format also gives the story more room to breathe, letting us get to know Carrie and the people around her while exploring the effects of isolation and discovering powers she can barely control.

Carrie White (Summer H. Howell) is a sheltered teenager raised by her fiercely protective mother, Margaret (Samantha Sloyan). After her father’s sudden death, Carrie must adjust to public high school, where she becomes caught up in a bullying scandal that spreads across social media. As she struggles to navigate her new surroundings, Carrie begins discovering that she possesses telekinetic powers, allowing her to move objects with her mind. Soon, a series of events sets the stage for a devastating night that will change her small town forever.

‘Off Campus’

I think it’s time for another “Off Campus” binge, especially with the romantic drama still trending on Prime Video months after release. Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling romance novels, the series follows the love lives of students at Briar University, with plenty of relationship drama and campus romance along the way. One of the fun things about the show is that each season shifts its focus to a different couple, giving us fresh love stories while keeping us connected to the same group of friends. With season 2 having wrapped filming and a third season reportedly in the works, now’s a great time to catch up.

Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) is a music student at Briar University who strikes a deal with Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), the college’s star hockey player. Hannah agrees to help Garrett improve his grades, while he offers to help her catch the attention of her crush. As their arrangement develops, the pair begin spending more time together, including going to parties, campus life and unexpected complications. With their original plan becoming increasingly complicated, Hannah and Garrett must figure out what they really want from each other.

‘The Rainmaker’

If you’re in the mood for a gripping legal drama, “The Rainmaker” brings John Grisham’s bestselling novel back to the screen, this time as a series rather than a feature film. The story was previously adapted into the 1997 movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola, but this version has more room to explore the twists and turns of a courtroom battle. There’s plenty of clever legal maneuvering as the characters fight to win their cases. There’s also a darker edge to the story, with high stakes and plenty of reasons to question whether the justice system always works as it should.

Rudy Baylor (Milo Callaghan) is a young lawyer fresh out of law school who finds himself fired from his first job at a prestigious law firm. He joins forces with unconventional attorney Jocelyn “Bruiser” Stone (Lana Parrilla) and her paralegal, Deck Shifflet (P.J. Byrne), taking on cases that pit them against powerful opponents. Their investigation into the mysterious death of a client’s son uncovers a potential conspiracy involving a hospital. As Rudy prepares to challenge his former boss, Leo Drummond (John Slattery), he must also contend with his former girlfriend, Sarah Plankmore (Madison Iseman).

Why you should stream 'Murder 101' on Prime Video

Every day, it feels like yet another true-crime title makes its way onto a streaming service, but even with that inundation of similarly focused mysteries and procedurals, "Murder 101" manages to be a standout not only because of the charming youthfulness of its subjects but also for the humanity it offers to both the doc's subjects and the case's victims.

Many documentaries play into the salaciousness of the true-crime genre with sensational narratives, dramatic reenactments, and efforts more fixated on shock value than respect for the real-life people involved. But the Stacy Lee-directed "Murder 101" instead highlights the empathy, collaboration and social responsibility displayed by the high schoolers as they dig into the cold case and work to bring closure to grieving families.

3 best new to Prime Video thriller movies this week

‘Creed’ (2015)

It’s easy to be a little cynical about legacy sequels. Hollywood loves bringing back classic series with modern installments that attempt to mix the new and the old. The results aren’t always great, but “Creed” is a quintessential example of the formula done almost perfectly. Released nearly a decade after 2006’s “Rocky Balboa,” it takes the sports drama series in a new direction, with a new underdog hero, while fiercely respecting what came before. Hot take incoming: In my Rocky ranking, it falls behind only the practically peerless 1976 original.

Oscar-winner Michael B. Jordan plays Adonis "Donnie" Johnson, the illegitimate youngest son of former heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. He’s desperate for his own shot at the big time, to prove that he’s worthy of the Creed name. In steps Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), also a previous world champion and Apollo’s old rival, to train Donnie. The duo’s bond rapidly develops inside and outside the ring as Donnie fights for his chance at glory.

‘Goldeneye’ (1995)

Of all the actors to step into the role of James Bond, Pierce Brosnan was perhaps the most unfortunate. He was a great pick to play the suave British spy, but was let down by generally poor material, tortuous production cycles, and ropey 2000s CGI effects. However, his 007 debut, “GoldenEye,” is right up there with the very best Bond movies ever made. It’s a thrilling spy flick that boasts a memorable villain, great action moments, and brought elements to the series that persisted even beyond Brosnan’s time in the tuxedo, such as Judi Dench’s turn as Bond’s handler M.

The first Bond movie to be wholly original, without taking plot points from an Ian Fleming novel, it begins with 007 and 006, Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean), infiltrating a chemical weapons facility. The mission goes south and ends in tragedy. “GoldenEye” then flashes forward nine years as the British spy learns that an experimental satellite weapon system has fallen into the wrong hands. The trail leads him to Russia, but this time Bond faces his most dangerous foe yet, somebody who knows his moves and how to best them.

However, if you’re craving something genuinely new this week, then how about “Masterplan,” Prime Video’s new original heist caper. If a daring scheme to steal the Mona Lisa isn’t enough to convince you to watch this comedy-thriller, Stanley Tucci in the leading role should tip you over the edge. The “Devil Wears Prada” star is always an incredibly charming on-screen presence.

Tucci plays a master thief preparing for retirement, but not before attempting to pull off the heist of a lifetime: Stealing the Mona Lisa from the Louvre Museum. It’s only the most prized and highly secure on-display painting in the world! To assist, he recruits Chiara (Simona Tabasco), a tech whiz, and Jay (Victor Belmondo), an explosives expert, before revealing they are actually his long-lost children. This heist is an unconventional family reunion, and it turns out that stealing the priceless painting might be easier than getting this estranged family to work together without a fight.

The series has already shot to No. 1 on Prime Video, proving there's still plenty of appetite for this classic horror story. If you've already binged the entire series and are looking for something to fill that void in your watchlist, you're in luck.

There are plenty of other shows that explore similar ideas, from supernatural abilities and troubled teenagers to sinister secrets and psychological terror. Some even feature familiar faces you might recognize from Flanagan’s previous projects. So, I've rounded up five shows like “Carrie” to stream next on Netflix, Hulu and more.

‘I Am Not Okay With This’ (2020)

“I Am Not Okay With This” should be the first pick on your list because of how similar it is to “Carrie.” Based on Charles Forsman’s graphic novel and executive produced by the team behind “Stranger Things,” this coming-of-age series has some pretty obvious parallels with Stephen King’s story. Both follow teenage girls who discover they have telekinetic powers, with their abilities becoming harder to control as their emotions get the better of them. There’s even a climactic moment that calls back to “Carrie’s” infamous prom scene, making this one of the closest matches you’ll find.

Sydney Novak (Sophia Lillis) is a teenager trying to navigate high school while dealing with the death of her father and complicated relationships with her family and friends. Her best friend, Dina (Sofia Bryant), has started dating jock Brad (Richard Ellis), leaving Sydney to grapple with feelings she doesn’t quite know how to express. Meanwhile, Sydney’s friendship with her eccentric neighbor, Stanley Barber (Wyatt Oleff), offers an unexpected source of support. As she struggles to make sense of her life, Sydney begins discovering strange abilities that emerge at unpredictable moments.

‘The Haunting of Hill House’ (2018)

If you want more of Mike Flanagan’s signature horror after watching “Carrie,” “The Haunting of Hill House” is a great place to start. Loosely based on Shirley Jackson’s classic novel, this Netflix miniseries follows a family haunted by their past and the terrifying experiences they endured in their childhood home. Both shows explore toxic family relationships, trauma and the lasting effects of growing up in a troubled household, although “Hill House” leans further into supernatural horror. You’ll also spot some familiar faces, including Kate Siegel and Samantha Sloyan, alongside another haunting score from the Newton Brothers.

“The Haunting of Hill House” follows the Crain family, who move into a sprawling old mansion to renovate it before selling the property. Hugh (Henry Thomas) and Olivia Crain (Carla Gugino) live there with their five children, but a series of disturbing incidents eventually forces the family to flee. Years later, the now-adult siblings are living separate lives when a devastating tragedy brings them back together. As they revisit their childhood experiences, memories of Hill House resurface, along with strange occurrences that continue to follow them. The family must return to the house and uncover the truth behind what happened there.

‘It: Welcome to Derry’ (2025)

One of 2025’s best shows is “It: Welcome to Derry,” the horror prequel series created by Andy and Barbara Muschietti alongside Jason Fuchs, which expands upon the cinematic universe established in Andy Muschietti’s hit 2017 and 2019 feature film adaptations of Stephen King’s classic novel. It isn’t quite as similar to “Carrie” as some of the other picks on this list, but it’s a great next watch if you love Stephen King’s stories. Much like Flanagan’s adaptation, it also takes its time exploring the characters and mythology beyond what a single movie could offer.

Set in 1962, “IT: Welcome to Derry” takes viewers back to the small town of Derry, Maine, decades before the events of the “IT” movies. When a local boy mysteriously disappears, a group of young friends begins investigating, soon uncovering a series of strange occurrences around town. Meanwhile, Major Leroy Hanlon (Jovan Adepo) arrives at Derry Air Force Base with his wife, Charlotte (Taylour Paige), and their son, Will (Blake Cameron James), as a secretive military operation gets underway. As more children go missing and terrifying events escalate, the residents begin to discover that something far more sinister is lurking beneath Derry’s surface.

‘Castle Rock’ (2018)

If you want to dive even deeper into Stephen King’s twisted fictional universe, “Castle Rock” is a great show to check out after “Carrie.” This two-season psychological horror anthology brings together familiar locations, characters and references from across King’s books to tell its own original stories. You’ll spot nods to everything from “The Shawshank Redemption” to “The Shining,” making it a fun watch for longtime King fans. The biggest connection to “Carrie,” though, is Sissy Spacek, who played the original Carrie White in the 1976 film and stars in this series.

“Castle Rock” follows death-row attorney Henry Deaver (André Holland), who returns to his hometown after a mysterious young man (Bill Skarsgård) is discovered locked away in Shawshank State Penitentiary. The stranger refuses to explain who he is, but his arrival sets off a series of disturbing events that draw Henry into a mystery connected to his childhood. As he investigates, secrets surrounding the town’s residents and history begin to surface. Across two seasons, the series introduces new characters and storylines, including a young Annie Wilkes (Lizzy Caplan), the future nurse from “Misery,” whose journey takes an unexpected turn when she arrives in Castle Rock.

‘The Glory’ (2022)

Anyone who enjoyed the darker side of “Carrie” will want to stream Netflix’s Korean revenge drama “The Glory.” While the two series are very different in style, both explore the lasting impact of severe bullying and trauma, following characters who struggle to move on from what happened to them. They also ask some difficult questions about revenge and whether getting even can ever make things right. “The Glory” actually became a huge hit for Netflix, ranking among the platform’s most-watched non-English-language shows worldwide.

Moon Dong-eun (Song Hye-kyo) abandons her education after enduring horrific abuse at the hands of her high school classmates. Years later, she begins putting an elaborate plan into action to confront those responsible. After securing a position as a teacher at an elementary school attended by the daughter of her former ringleader, Park Yeon-jin (Lim Ji-yeon), Dong-eun starts closing in on her former classmates. With help from unexpected allies, including doctor Joo Yeo-jeong (Lee Do-hyun), she carefully exposes their secrets and sets her plan in motion.

You're spoilt for choice over the coming days, which is why I’ve picked out the most noteworthy new arrivals across streaming platforms to help you spend more time watching and less time scrolling. ‘Practical Magic 2’ (PVOD)

The long-in-development follow-up to cult ‘90s fantasy comedy “Practical Magic” certainly cast a spell on fans; this sequel holds a mighty impressive 91% viewer score on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics weren’t exactly wowed (its critical rating is much lower at a weak 36%), but “Practical Magic 2” was clearly made for the fans, and with original stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman returning, it delivers the witchy hijinks that made the original a cult favorite.

Set 28 years after the first “Practical Magic 2,” the Owens sisters (Bullock and Kidman) return, and their ancestral curse, which means that any man who falls in love with an Owens woman will die, is still plaguing the family. With the next generation of Owens now facing the curse’s cruel effects, the sisters must confront their past and break the spell once and for all. Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing also reprise their original roles, with new cast members added to the magical mix, including Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, and Xolo Maridueña.

‘Runner’ (PVOD)

Fans of buddy movies will want to run to their preferred premium streaming platform to stream “Runner” this week. Pairing Alan Ritchson, star of Prime Video’s “Reacher,” with 2000s comedy icon Owen Wilson, it’s an action comedy that succeeds thanks to strong chemistry between its unlikely leads and a commitment to over-the-top stunt sequences. It might not shake up the genre template, but it’s an enjoyable slice of blockbuster escapism.

Former special forces operative Hank Malone (Ritchson) now works as a “runner,” transporting high-value items for anybody who will pay him enough. Tasked with delivering an organ for transplant to a very sick child in hospital, he’s accompanied by an unlikely partner (Wilson), who is determined to ensure the job is done correctly. Things get hairy when they become the targets of a ruthless cartel, who want the precious organ for themselves.

‘Love of Your Life’ (Prime Video)

Prime Video has been all about romance lately, dropping originals like “The Last Sunrise” and “The Love Hypothesis” in recent weeks. That streak continues with “Love of Your Life,” another original movie that is sure to tug at your heartstrings. This one boasts quite the cast as well. It’s led by Margaret Qualley, Aaron Pierre and Patrick Schwarzenegger. And while he (sadly) doesn’t feature on screen, Ryan Gosling, a genre veteran, serves as a producer.

Like so many romantic dramas before it, “Love of Your Life” begins with an unexpected encounter between Maya (Qualley) and Charlie (Gabriel Basso). This sparks an intense romance and the possibilities of a blissful future. However, when this future is cruelly ripped away, Maya is forced to face that life doesn’t always play out as expected, and that finding the strength to love again can be the greatest challenge of all. You might want to bring tissues for this!

‘The Death of Robin Hood’ (HBO Max)

Not to be confused with “The Uprising,” an Andrew Garfield-led historical drama that briefly claimed to be a Robin Hood movie in its pre-release marketing campaign, only to walk the claim back (the situation was messy), “The Death of Robin Hood” sees Hugh Jackman play the notorious outlaw. As the title implies, this story is set during his final days. It explores the man behind the myth and is adapted from a 17th-century ballad, “Robin Hood’s Death.”

Gravely injured after assisting his old friend, Little John (Bill Skarsgård), in retaking his land, legendary outlaw Robin Hood (Jackman) grapples with his violent past. A hero to some, a criminal to others, he’s left in the care of Sister Brigid (Jodie Comer) at a remote nunnery. As Robin faces the possibility of his impending death, he is offered an unexpected chance to repent.

‘Sacrifice’ (Netflix)

It’s a good news and bad news situation with “Sacrifice,” Netflix’s new comedy-thriller. Let’s start with the positives. The cast list here is stacked. You’ve got Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Vincent Cassel, Sam Richardson, John Malkovich and Salma Hayek. The downside? The movie’s reception at the Toronto International Film Festival last September was less than stellar, and has translated to a very disappointing 36% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie centers on a doomsday cult led by Joan (Taylor-Joy) and her siblings, who are convinced they must cleanse the Earth to prevent a volcanic apocalypse. To save humanity, they abduct three people, including a movie star making a comeback (Evans), with plans to sacrifice them as part of a ritual. As the night descends into chaos, the situation becomes increasingly messy, and the lines between savior and sacrifice start to blur.

‘Masterplan’ (Prime Video)

Prime Video isn’t content with just the one original movie this week, as it’s also set to debut “Masterplan,” a heist caper that looks like a real blast. If a high-stakes theft wasn’t enough, this movie from director Thomas Vincent adds an extra wrinkle by mixing in some chaotic family drama. It looks like a hoot, and with Stanley Tucci playing the lead, consider me (cautiously) optimistic.

Tucci plays a legendary thief who sets his sights on the Mona Lisa, planning a daring heist of the Louvre museum in the French capital. To assist, he recruits two young helpers, a talented hacker (Simona Tabasco) and an explosives expert (Victor Belmondo), before revealing he is actually their estranged father. Turns out stealing the world’s most valuable painting might be the easy part; getting this fractured family working together is the real test.

‘Tenzing’ (Apple TV)

At the start of the month, Apple TV added “The Last First: Winter K2” to its library, an acclaimed documentary offering a fascinating insight into the world of high-stakes mountaineering. The streamer is following that doc up with “Tenzing,” a biographical drama that chronicles one of the most famous climbs in human history: Edmund Hillary’s summit of Mount Everest.

However, as the name suggests, while Hillary features (and is played by Tom Hiddleston), the focus of this biopic is on Tenzing Norgay (Genden Phuntsok), the gifted Himalayan climber who accompanied the New Zealand mountaineer to the top of the world’s tallest mountain. It’s a story of conflicting backgrounds, competing ambitions and a truly remarkable achievement in human history. Also starring Willem Dafoe as Colonel John Hunt, who led the 1953 expedition up Everest, “Tenzing” is an inspirational story about one of mankind’s greatest feats.

It’s the start of a new week, which means it’s once again time to comb through the best of Prime Video's top 10 chart. There’s no need to endlessly scroll through the streaming platform’s ever-expanding library when I can quickly recommend a trio of winning flicks that are currently storming the service.

Prime Video’s top 10 isn’t always stuffed with instant classics, yet I found it pretty easy to pick out three choices this week. My picks include a breezy rom-com that’s generating a lot of buzz, the fourth entry in an action icon’s legendary franchise, and a thriller that packs in both set pieces and smarts.

The movies below are taken from Prime Video’s top 10 as of Monday, October 12, 2026. Though not every movie in this list is going to be up your alley, I’m confident you'll enjoy my picks.

Best movies in the Prime Video top 10

‘The Love Hypothesis’ (2026)

I’m normally allergic to rom-coms, but I had a surprising amount of fun with this one. A knowingly silly adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s bestseller, “The Love Hypothesis" gets a decent amount of mileage out of its semi-ludicrous premise. Centering around the fake relationship between PhD candidate Olive Smith (Lili Reinhart) and the gruff, socially inept professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman), this light-hearted romance reminded me of “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”.

If you can get past the thoroughly stupid premise, there are laughs to be had in “The Love Hypothesis”. Once I accepted that two intellectuals would enter into a pretend relationship after an accidental kiss in a hallway, I let myself go along for the vaguely absurd ride. As the fake couple tries to convince Olive’s friends that she’s over her previous crush, the pair are repeatedly plunged into awkward social situations… mainly because the grumpy professor has problems acting like a human. Silly setup or not, Reinhart and Bateman’s chemistry sizzles.

‘John Wick: Chapter 4' (2023)

Despite the fact I’m still very much not over what they did to his puppy in the first film, I can’t resist Keanu’s iconic hitman. Acting as the final chapter in the “gun fu” saga (for now at least), “John Wick: Chapter 4” is an energetic actioner that revels in high-octane fight sequences without ever taking itself too seriously. Though he was almost 60 when he filmed this, it’s a pleasure to see Reeves can still whoop all the butt.

After the High Table’s Marquis (Bill Skarsgård) destroys the New York Continental, Wick once again finds himself on the run. The setting this time out is downright epic, with John’s bullet-ridden adventure taking him to Morocco, Tokyo and Berlin, before culminating in a suitably cinematic duel in Paris. Donnie Yen is a particularly welcome new addition to the cast, once again going full “Rogue One” by playing a blind martial arts expert. I’m not sure where the next entry goes after this instalment’s fairly definitive conclusion, but I’m eager to find out.

‘The Amateur’ (2025)

Based on the 1981 Robert Littell novel, “The Amateur” is a reasonably gripping thriller with some mighty fun setpieces. After Charlie Heller (Rami Malek) loses his wife to a terror attack in London, the nerdy CIA surveillance expert sets out on a revenge mission. Though his superiors are initially unwilling to help him, a quick bit of blackmail soon gets them onside.

Once Heller has been trained by Lawrence Fishburne’s extra cranky operative, this unlikely action hero is ready to take on his wife’s killers. Don’t expect roundhouse kicks or uzi-wielding shootouts, though. After all, this is a dude whose boss doesn’t think he “could beat a 90-year-old nun in an arm wrestling match.” Heller may not have the brawn, but he certainly has the brains — a rooftop swimming pool sequence shows off both his cunning and his cruelty. Stylishly shot and with a strong cast that includes John Bernthal, this is one thriller that’s ready to turn pro.

The vibe: The kinda underdog sports drama you rarely see these days

George Clooney steps into the director's chair for "The Boys in the Boat," a somewhat plodding biographical sports drama that's perfect for a hit of nostalgia this Sunday afternoon. Set during the Great Depression, it tells the inspirational true story of the University of Washington men's rowing team as they compete for gold at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.  

Whipping this fresh meat into shape is coach Al Ulbrickson Sr. (Joel Edgerton). The team goes on to beat some of the most prestigious programs in the U.S. before making it to the Olympics. Callum Turner of "Fantastic Beasts" fame stars as Joe Rantz, a young man who sees rowing as his last shot to escape his troubled circumstances. While it's a fairly by-the-numbers biopic, audiences ate it up: “The Boys in the Boat” holds an impressive 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

'Dog' (2022)

The vibe: A laid-back road trip with your ride or die

Turns out man's best friend can get PTSD too. Channing Tatum stars and co-directs with "Magic Mike" writer Reid Carolin in "Dog," a heartfelt buddy comedy that wraps up with a surprisingly powerful message. Channing proves exactly why audiences can't get enough of him as the charming Briggs, an ex-soldier stuck with driving his recently deceased army buddy’s angsty military dog, Lulu, from Washington to Arizona for her owner’s funeral.

Their road trip of a lifetime plays out like a classic romcom as the two warm up to each other after an icy first meeting. Along the way, they're pulled off into one wild caper after another that forces Briggs to reconsider everything he believes. Cleverly, Tatum and Carolin use the road trip framework as a metaphor for how to heal America's political divides, suggesting that the enemy's bark may be worse than its bite.

'Girls' Trip' (2017)

The vibe: A hilarious dose of Black Girl Magic

Rarely do comedies crack a 90% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes, but "Girls Trip" managed a 91% critics score — which should tell you something about how well this ladies-on-the-loose comedy sticks the landing. That it came out in 2017, a year of emotional whiplash that marked just the beginning of neverending nightmare headline, helped tremendously to establish it as a cult classic.

Written by Kenya Barris (scriptwriter of comedy hit “Black-ish”) and Tracy Oliver, "Girls Trip" follows four lifelong friends who reunite for one wild weekend in New Orleans. Along the way, they realize that girl time was exactly what they needed to get their (messy af) lives back on track — and what better way to bond than in a "The Hangover" style misadventure. Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Queen Latifah, and Jada Pinkett Smith have a hilarious chemistry that make this the perfect watch to cackle over with friends.

'Prefiero la Muerte (I Would Rather Die)' (2026)

What it's about: This Mexican teen horror-comedy follows Archie (Diego Bernal), the self-described loser of his high school in the town of Mendoza, whose life takes a turn when he's bitten by a zombie at the local corner store. Instead of becoming a mindless monster, Archie manages to hang onto his mind just enough to go looking for a cure, teaming up with his goth best friend and his crush to get to the bottom of a plot that could plunge the whole town into a full-blown apocalypse.

Why you should watch it: Created, written and directed by Sebastián Sariñana, "I Would Rather Die" uses its zombie premise as a metaphor for adolescence. It balances gross-out gags and scares with coming-of-age and heart, plus all eight episodes dropped at once, so it's built for a binge-watch whenever you're ready to jump in.

'The 7 Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom' (2026)

What's it about? At the center of a continent made up of eight kingdoms is the Marronnier Kingdom, home to the general Baribara and her seven sons, each gifted in his own way and serving as a knight commander. United by one slightly ridiculous dream to rescue a princess, the seven brothers are sent as goodwill ambassadors to the seven neighboring kingdoms, where adventure, romance and plenty of trouble await. Meanwhile, Marronnier's own princess slips out of the palace in disguise to join one of them on his journey.

Why you should watch it: Based on Nao Iwamoto's manga, this medieval fantasy anime mixes swashbuckling adventure with a healthy dose of comedy and romance. If you're after a charming fantasy to add to your fall anime rotation, the seven brothers make for easy, breezy company for fans of shows like "The Seven Deadly Sins." m

'Carrie' (2026)

What's it about? Mike Flanagan takes on one of Stephen King's most iconic stories here and turns "Carrie" into an eight-episode series. Newcomer Summer H. As the bullying at school and cruelty at home get worse, the show inches toward the infamous, blood-drenched prom night that King fans know is coming.

Why you should watch it: Flanagan, the creator of Netflix's "The Haunting of Hill House" and "Midnight Mass," is talented at blending scares with emotional depth, and early reviews suggest this is one of the strongest screen versions of "Carrie" yet, with a sterling 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's that joyful period of the year when spooky season overlaps with cozy couch-potato season, which means there's no better time to settle in for a good movie, especially one that'll raise your hair and rack your nerves. Prime Video's got plenty of those — the Amazon streaming service welcomed a whopping 136 new movie titles on October 1 alone — so there's no shortage of fun and freaky flicks for you to enjoy this weekend.

For starters, there's an explosive meet-up between two of cinema's greatest monsters—Godzilla and King Kong—in "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," which arrived on the streamer on October 4. If you're into all things witchy, there's the fittingly titled horror-mystery "The Witch," featuring a young Anya Taylor-Joy in her feature film debut. And while not a traditional scary movie, the historical epic "There Will Be Blood" does feature a truly fearsome lead performance by the great Daniel Day-Lewis.

So instead of wasting your weekend trying to find something half-decent to watch, we've done the dirty work of rounding up three movies you should check out on Prime Video now.

'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' (2024)

Cinema's tallest titans team up for this fierce follow-up to "Godzilla vs. Kong" from writer-director Adam Wingard. The sequel finds the giant ape encountering more of his species in the Hollow Earth —specifically, the sadistic dictator Skar King, who is dead set on invading Earth's surface. To thwart this new foe, Kong is forced to form an uneasy alliance with his fearsome former enemy Godzilla to ensure the survival of both their kinds and the human race.

The "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" cast features several returning actors, including Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle; Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House also appear.

'The Witch' (2016)

Though she's had many indelible roles in the last decade — "The Queen's Gambit," "Emma," "The Menu," and "Furiosa" among them — before all of those, Anya Taylor-Joy had her haunting breakthrough in 2015's "The Witch," the directorial debut of future "The Lighthouse" and "Nosferatu" filmmaker Robert Eggers.

Set in 1630s New England, the folk-horror film follows an isolated Puritan family who, after their youngest is stolen by a forest witch while in the care of their eldest daughter, descend into psychological madness and supernatural terror. As evil forces swirl throughout the household, the family (played by Ralph Ineson, Kate Dickie and Harvey Scrimshaw, alongside Taylor-Joy) begins to turn on each other

'There Will Be Blood' (2008)

In an Academy Award-winning turn, Daniel Day-Lewis leads this Paul Thomas Anderson-directed American classic as Daniel Plainview, a ruthless silver miner-turned-oil tycoon who amasses a petroleum fortune in early 20th-century California.

That success soon finds Daniel locked in a bitter, decades-long feud with the charismatic but hypocritical evangelical preacher Eli Sunday (Paul Sunday), as his ambition and greed threaten to destroy his humanity.

Loosely based on Upton Sinclair's 1927 novel "Oil," the sprawling oil saga also stars Kevin J. O'Connor, Ciarán Hinds, Russell Harvard and Dillon Freasier.

To make things a little easier, I’ve picked out five movies on Prime Video in October that all have a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90% or higher. These aren’t necessarily the newest movies around, but they’re all critically acclaimed films that have earned their place on the service. So, if you’re looking for something new to watch on Prime Video this month, these five movies are well worth checking out.

‘The Godfather’ (1972)

Genre: Crime drama

What it's about: “The Godfather” follows the powerful Corleone crime family in postwar New York, led by patriarch Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando). When Vito refuses to become involved in the drug trade, a violent conflict erupts between the Corleones and rival Mafia families. His youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), initially determined to stay away from the family business, is gradually pulled into the conflict and begins his transformation into the new head of the family.

Why you should watch it: If you’ve somehow never seen it, “The Godfather” is absolutely worth watching for its incredible performances, gripping story and unforgettable characters. Marlon Brando and Al Pacino are particularly outstanding, while Francis Ford Coppola’s direction gives the film a distinctive, atmospheric style. It’s also one of those movies that has had a huge influence on cinema, making it essential viewing for any film fan.

‘Pearl’ (2022)

Genre: Horror

What it's about: A young woman named Pearl (Mia Goth) is living with her sick father and domineering mother on an isolated Texas farm in 1918. Desperate to escape her lonely life, she dreams of becoming a movie star and believes an upcoming audition could be her chance to leave. But as her frustrations grow, her dreams begin to collide with her increasingly violent impulses, sending her down a dark and disturbing path.

Why you should watch it: I’d recommend “Pearl” for its striking Technicolor-inspired visuals, unsettling atmosphere and Mia Goth’s incredible lead performance. It’s a horror movie with plenty of gore, but it’s also a fascinating character study about ambition, loneliness and obsession. If you enjoyed “X,” this prequel adds even more depth to one of its most memorable characters.

‘Skyfall’ (2012)

Genre: Spy thriller

What it's about: James Bond (Daniel Craig) is sent on a mission that goes disastrously wrong, leaving undercover MI6 agents exposed and the agency under attack. When M (Judi Dench) becomes the target of a mysterious cyberterrorist named Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem), Bond returns to protect her and track down the threat. His investigation takes him from London to Shanghai and Macau before forcing him to confront Silva on deeply personal terms. Along the way, Bond must reckon with his own past and his loyalty to M.

Why you should watch it: “Skyfall” is an easy recommendation if you’re after a Bond movie with great action, beautiful cinematography and a fantastic cast. Daniel Craig is excellent in one of his strongest performances as 007, while Javier Bardem makes for a seriously memorable villain. Sam Mendes also gives the movie a more personal feel, balancing the big action sequences with quieter moments that give Bond a little more depth.

‘There Will Be Blood’ (2007)

Genre: Psychological drama

Why you should watch it: If you’re looking for a movie with a truly unforgettable performance, “There Will Be Blood” is a strong pick. Daniel Day-Lewis actually earned an Oscar for the role, while Paul Thomas Anderson directs with plenty of confidence. The movie also looks incredible, with Robert Elswit’s cinematography capturing the harshness of the American West. Add Jonny Greenwood’s unsettling score and a gripping story about greed and you have a movie that really sticks with you.

‘The Terminator’ (1984)

Genre: Action sci-fi

What it's about: Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) is a young woman in 1984 Los Angeles who becomes the target of a seemingly unstoppable cyborg assassin sent back from the future to kill her. Sarah is rescued by Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), a soldier from a post-apocalyptic future who explains that her unborn son will one day lead humanity’s resistance against the machines. Together, they must evade the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) while Sarah learns about the terrifying future that awaits humanity.

Why you should watch it: If you want a sci-fi movie that wastes absolutely no time, “The Terminator” is still a fantastic choice. Arnold Schwarzenegger is perfectly cast as the terrifying cyborg hunting Sarah Connor, while Linda Hamilton gives the character a memorable transformation as the story unfolds. Its influence is obvious, but even decades later, the movie remains tense, fast-paced and seriously entertaining.

‘Neagley’

Still sitting comfortably at No. 1 is “Neagley,” the action-thriller spin-off from the “Reacher” franchise, which has already been renewed for a second season. While each season of “Reacher” adapts a Lee Child novel, “Neagley” tells an entirely original story created specifically for television, with Child serving as an executive producer. The spin-off also gives its lead a different kind of edge, focusing more on forensic deduction, hacking, and tactical planning while still delivering plenty of fast-paced action and brutal fight scenes.

Frances Neagley (Maria Sten) is a private investigator in Chicago and a former member of the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit alongside Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchs. When her childhood friend Tommy dies in what appears to be an accident, Neagley receives a mysterious message that makes her question what really happened. Determined to uncover the truth, she begins investigating his death and soon discovers that the case is far more complicated. As Neagley follows a trail of clues, she is drawn into a dangerous investigation that forces her to confront secrets from her past.

‘Blue Ridge’

If you’re in the mood for a slower-paced crime drama with a western setting, the “Blue Ridge” series is worth a look. It expands on the popular 2020 TV movie of the same name and follows a mix of weekly criminal cases and the personal lives of the people dealing with them. There’s plenty of focus on co-parenting, teenage life and small-town politics, giving the show a more character-driven feel than your typical police procedural. It also brings in plenty of classic cowboy lawman elements without losing its quieter atmosphere. The full first season is currently available to stream on Prime Video.

“Blue Ridge” follows Sheriff Justin Wise (Johnathon Schaech), a former Green Beret who moves to a small Appalachian town in North Carolina to spend more time with his teenage daughter and rebuild his relationship with his ex-wife. However, his new job quickly proves more complicated than expected when the seemingly quiet community is plagued by murders, criminals and long-running feuds. Alongside his deputies, Justin investigates a series of cases while trying to protect the town’s residents and keep his family safe. Across the series, he faces dangerous fugitives, kidnappings, drug dealers and mysterious deaths.

‘I Would Rather Die’

Those who want a zombie show that doesn’t take itself too seriously should stream “I Would Rather Die,” as it puts a fun teen spin on the apocalypse. This Mexican series follows a group of young people as they deal with a sudden zombie outbreak, mixing some pretty gruesome chaos with plenty of dark comedy and coming-of-age drama. It has the same kind of irreverent energy you might expect from “Shaun of the Dead” or “Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse,” while putting its own spin on familiar zombie tropes.

Archie (Diego Bernal) is a young man living in the quiet Mexican town of Mendoza whose life takes an unexpected turn when he is bitten by a zombie. As he begins to notice strange changes, Archie sets out to find a cure before his condition gets worse. With help from his best friend Cris (Lilith Curiel) and his longtime crush Brenda (Farah Justiniani), he searches for answers while trying to keep his condition under control. Their search soon attracts the attention of Sarah Díaz (Fernanda Castillo), a determined investigator looking into the unusual events surrounding Archie.

Few horror stories have had quite the life cycle of “Carrie.” Stephen King’s debut novel was first published in 1974, introducing readers to Carrie White, a bullied teenager with telekinetic powers and a deeply troubled home life. Just two years later, Brian De Palma turned it into the iconic 1976 movie starring Sissy Spacek, and "Carrie" has continued to be reimagined ever since. There’s been a sequel, a 2002 television movie and a 2013 remake, alongside stage adaptations, and now the Stephen King story has been turned into an eight-episode Prime Video series.

This new version comes from Mike Flanagan, which is particularly exciting for me because I’m a huge fan of his work. I’ve always loved King’s stories, but “Carrie” has a special place for me. It’s such a simple premise on the surface, but there’s so much going on underneath the horror, from bullying and isolation to family, religion and the cruelty people can inflict on each other. Flanagan also didn’t want to simply remake the same story we’ve already seen. He’s described this as the first time he’s had the opportunity to take one of King’s works apart and build something new from its pieces.

That makes this version particularly interesting to me. We already know Carrie’s story, but a series gives Flanagan far more room to explore the characters and expand the world beyond what we’ve seen in previous adaptations, while also changing the time period. I actually got the chance to watch the episodes early, so I’ve seen how Flanagan approaches this new version of one of King’s most iconic stories, and here are my thoughts.

‘Carrie’ is a deeply unsettling exploration of teenage cruelty

Stephen King’s “Carrie” was always a story about bullying, cruelty and what can happen when someone is pushed too far. At its heart, it looks at the lasting impact that high school can have on young people, especially those who already feel isolated or vulnerable.

The new series keeps that idea at the center of the story, but brings it into a much more modern world. Phones and social media have given teenagers new ways to humiliate each other, with cruel moments able to be filmed, shared and replayed long after they happen. That makes Carrie’s story feel just as relevant today, and I’m glad the series doesn’t shy away from that.

But what Flanagan has done here is expand Carrie’s family history, including the grief she experiences after losing her father, which is a notable change from the book, where her father is simply absent from her life. The series also spends more time showing how isolated Carrie and her mother have been, leaving Carrie largely unfamiliar with the modern world and the dangers that come with it. That makes her first experience of high school even more heartbreaking. She goes in excited to finally experience something outside the sheltered life she’s known, only to quickly discover how cruel her classmates can be.

Summer H. Howell is one of the show’s biggest strengths, largely because she doesn’t try to imitate Sissy Spacek’s iconic performance. Instead, Howell’s Carrie feels more curious, kind and genuinely excited about discovering the world outside the sheltered life she’s known. That fits with Flanagan’s decision to reinvent the character rather than simply recreate the 1976 movie. It’s also why the series feels more like a character drama than a straightforward horror story.

The same can be said for Alison Thornton’s performance as Chris Hargensen, who gets much more backstory here that helps explain her behavior and toxic attitude. Overall, this feels like a much more expansive reinterpretation of “Carrie” rather than another retelling of the same story.

Although I loved this version of these characters, as well as the more modern setting and deeper storytelling, I do think eight episodes is a bit of a stretch for such a contained story. The additional room allows Flanagan to explore Carrie and the people around her in much more detail, but some of the wider mythology feels like it takes attention away from what makes Carrie’s story so compelling in the first place. Introducing other characters with powers, the multi-user mythology and an ending that leaves the door open for another season somewhat diminishes the impact of Carrie’s story as something that can stand entirely on its own. That said, this is still one of the strongest shows I’ve seen this year.

Verdict: ‘Carrie’ is a bold new take on Stephen King’s classic

One of the things that really stood out to me about the show is how effectively Flanagan uses the camera to put us inside Carrie’s head. During moments of stress and panic, the cinematography makes her isolation feel even more intense and gives us a better sense of just how overwhelming the world around her can be.

The cast is also excellent across the board, with Siena Agudong standing out as Sue Snell. You can see the conflict within her character, especially because she’s capable of being friends with a bully while still having a genuinely kind heart. Amber Midthunder is also great as Rita, one of Carrie’s biggest supporters, who has her own motivations and life outside of school.

Ultimately, this is a really strong series that feels closer to an award-worthy character drama with horror elements than a straightforward horror show. That should still make it an easy recommendation for Stephen King fans, especially anyone looking for a fresh take on a story they already know. I do have some concerns about the ending and the decision to potentially expand this world beyond Carrie’s story, but even those issues don’t take away from how much I enjoyed watching it. For me, this is a confident, surprisingly emotional reinvention of a classic.

Every week, I comb through the latest movies added to Prime Video’s already sizeable library to find the best recently added thrillers. And this week’s selection is seriously strong.

We start with the first adventure of a certain British superspy, which makes quite a timely watch as it just celebrated its 64th birthday earlier in the week. Then let’s take a trip into the future (or at least, what was considered the future in the 1980s), for a legendary sci-fi movie, which includes my favorite Harrison Ford character (and it’s not Han Solo). Rounding out my picks is an overlooked war movie from director Guy Ritchie that stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a U.S. soldier.

'Dr. No’ (1962)

Yesterday (Oct. 5) was International James Bond Day, celebrated each year to commemorate the theatrical release of “Dr. No” on October 5, 1962. And in a move that is surely no coincidence, Prime Video has added (almost) every single James Bond film this month (including the non-Eon-produced “Never Say Never Again). “Dr. No” marked Bond’s first big-screen outing, and all these years later it remains a marvellously thrilling spy flick.

Based on Ian Fleming’s 1958 novel of the same name, the sixth in his series of Bond books, “Dr. No” sees Scottish actor Sean Connery donning the tuxedo for the first time as he plays Bond, James Bond, Britain’s most suave spy. Dispatched to Jamaica to investigate the sudden disappearance of a fellow secret agent, Bond finds himself on the trail of the eponymous villain, who has a dastardly plan to disrupt an American space launch.

‘Blade Runner’ (1982)

Forget Han Solo, if you ask me “what is Harrison Ford’s best sci-fi role,” I’m picking Rick Deckard every single time. After delivering “Alien” in 1979, director Ridley Scott helmed another titan of the genre, “Blade Runner,” a mere three years later. Adapted from Philip K. Dick’s novel, it transports viewers to a smoky vision of the future, where Earth is controlled by powerful corporations — which, I suppose, is actually worryingly close to our current reality.

Crucially, Prime Video has added “Blade Runner: The Final Cut,” a 2007 remaster released to celebrate the movie’s 25th anniversary. This version cleans up some of the effects, includes additional scenes, and even corrects a plot hole in the theatrical release. It’s the definitive version of a true sci-fi masterpiece. If you’re unfamiliar with the narrative basics, in “Blade Runner,” Ford’s Rick Deckard is a former cop, tasked with eliminating a group of synthetics, known as replicants, after they escape from a corporation-controlled colony.

‘Guy Ritchie's The Covenant’ (2023)

Don't just take my word that "Guy Ritchie's The Covenant" is a worthwhile watch this week. On the review site Rotten Tomatoes, this war thriller holds a near-perfect 98% score. Viewers call it “incredible,” “full of action,” and “very intense," and I certainly don't disagree. It's a gritty military movie that explores an unlikely bond.

Set during the later stages of the war in Afghanistan, US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Gyllenhaal) forms an unexpected friendship with a local Afghan interpreter, Ahmed (Dar Salim). The two start at odds, but when Ahmed saves Kinley’s life, they develop a brotherhood. Shortly afterwards, Ahmed and his family are in danger of being captured and killed, and Kinley is determined to repay his debt.

It’s that time of week when we help you figure out what flicks are worth watching on Amazon’s streaming platform. As someone guilty of endless, non-committal scrolling, I certainly appreciate Prime Video’s top 10 chart guiding me towards the movies a whole lot of viewers are being drawn to over any given week.

However, Prime Video’s top 10 can be pretty hit-or-miss, and just because a film has skyrocketed to the top of the charts doesn’t necessarily mean it’s worth checking out. To save you some time, I’ve sifted through this week’s most popular movies on Prime to find the ones that are actually worth your precious time. That includes a big-budget heist film, a Tom Cruise thriller people don’t talk about enough, and one of my favorite ever Tarantino movies.

‘Now You See Me: Now You Don't’ (2025)

If you can get past the needless own goal the third entry in this magic-filled heist franchise commits, there’s quite a lot to enjoy about this breezy caper. Seriously though, how is this not called “Now You Three Me”?! Getting past that naming faux pas, this threequel picks up 10 years after the events of the last entry.

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Isla Fisher reprise their roles as thieving illusionists, with their latest globe-hopping adventure touching upon the issue of deepfakes across some elaborate setpieces. It’s obviously all thoroughly silly stuff, but the core cast remain charming, and the film rattles along at pace over a lean 112 minute runtime. Rosamund Pike admittedly isn’t given much to sink her teeth into as the villainous Verokinka Vanderberg but the film’s action is directed with real flair by Ruben Fleischer. Turn off your brain and just enjoy the not quite magical, but fun enough ride.

‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood' (2019)

Forget his Oscar-winning turn in “The Revenant”: this is arguably the greatest performance of Leonardo DiCaprio’s legendary career. Playing over the hill Western star Rick Dalton during the dying days of Hollywood's Golden Era, he gets through his whiskey-soaked days mainly thanks to Brad Pitt’s carbonite cool stunt man. It’s no wonder Pitt is reprising the titular role next month in spin-off “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth”.

Quentin Tarantino's ninth movie sports all his usual hallmarks. Banger after banger! A rapier-sharp script! Copious flamethrower violence! Much like “Inglorious Basterds”, “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” rewrites history in an absurdly gory, but ultra satisfying finale that sees Rick and Cliff unwittingly prevent a tragedy in large parts thanks to Booth’s awesome dog. Bruce Lee fans probably appreciate a certain fight scene, and Margot Robbie is underutilised, but this is a heartfelt love letter to Hollywood’s last real romantic age.

‘Jack Reacher’ (2012)

Long before Alan Ritchson ate all the protein to play Lee Child’s badass drifter in the hit Prime Video show, Tom Cruise made the role his own in this overly slept-on thriller. With Ritchson’s fourth series now available to stream in its entirety, it’s little wonder folks are hunting down Cruise’s portrayal of the former U.S. Army investigator. “Jack Reacher” is a clever and lean actioner that’s slickly directed by longtime Cruise collaborator Christoper McQuarrie.

Though the “Digger” star’s version may be a whole lot shorter than the book incarnation, the iconic star turns in an intensely focused performance. Any worries about his height are quickly forgotten thanks to the film’s superb fight choreography. After a startling opening sniper spree which sees five seemingly random people murdered in downtown Pittsburgh, Reacher sets out to find the truth about the assassinations. It's finally October, which means it's totally acceptable for your viewing habits to go full spooky season. Whether you're craving a genuinely creepy watch or a campy scare with a side of laughs, there are some new to Prime Video shows to binge this weekend.

Originally titled "Miss Scarlet and the Duke," this PBS Masterpiece series follows Eliza Scarlet (Kate Phillips), who, after her father's death leaves her broke and unmarried in 1880s London, takes over his struggling detective agency. To keep it running, she partners with her late father's friend, Scotland Yard's Detective Inspector William "The Duke" Wellington (Stuart Martin), and the two tackle crimes together.

Why you should watch it: Created by Rachael New, "Miss Scarlet" holds a strong 88% on Rotten Tomatoes for its first season and has built a devoted following for good reason. Kate Phillips ("Peaky Blinders") is a very likable lead, and the will-they-won't-they chemistry between her and Stuart Martin gives the mysteries a little something extra. If you love Victorian-era shenanigans, you'll love this.

'Scream Queens' seasons 1 and 2 (2015)

What it's about: This two-season horror-comedy anthology drops you first into the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority at Wallace University, where a serial killer in a Red Devil costume starts picking off students. Vicious queen bee Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) and no-nonsense Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) at the center of the chaos, flanked by "the Chanels," Oberlin's dim-witted lackeys, and her man of the hour. Season 2 moves the mayhem to a hospital stalked by a new killer, starring John Stamos and Taylor Lautner for some zany and irreverent fun perfect for Halloween.

Why you should watch it: From "American Horror Story" creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, "Scream Queens" divided critics, with its first season sitting at 68% on Rotten Tomatoes, but it won a cult following, with a warmer 79% audience score. 'Chucky' seasons 1-3 (2021)

What it's about: Plenty of horror icons have made the jump from film to television, but few have done it as successfully as this one. The three-season series picks up the "Child's Play" saga when a vintage Good Guy doll is sold at a New Jersey yard sale and ends up in the hands of 14-year-old outcast Jake Wheeler. Before long, gruesome murders start tearing open the secrets and hypocrisies of his sleepy hometown, as Chucky sets his sights on Jake and his friends.

Why you should watch it: Created by franchise mastermind Don Mancini, "Chucky" is proof the killer doll works just as well on the small screen. Brad Dourif returns to voice the foul-mouthed Chucky, with Jennifer Tilly doing a fantastic job in her role as his partner-in-crime Tiffany. It's bloody, funny and surprisingly heartfelt, which feels a little confusing, but hey, sure!

Another weekend has arrived, and with Halloween creeping closer, there's no better way to spend the next couple of days than curled up with a few great movies. This week's picks give you a little peek of the scariest season of the year, and you can find them all on Prime Video, so you don't have to go on a spooky streaming scavenger hunt.

For starters, there's a gloriously silly '80s cult horror-comedy about alien clowns terrorizing a small town. Or if you're in the mood for something moodier and far more divisive, there's Emerald Fennell's steamy, stylish take on "Wuthering Heights" with Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. For the slasher fans, the latest "Scream" installment pits Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott against Ghostface one more time.

'Killer Klowns From Outer Space' (1988)

This cult horror-comedy is as gloriously silly as the title promises, and it's perfect for kicking off spooky season. When teenagers Mike (Grant Cramer) and Debbie (Suzanne Snyder) watch a comet crash outside the town of Crescent Cove, they investigate and find a big-top spaceship full of murderous aliens that look just like circus clowns. The Klowns start harvesting the people in town and cocoon their victims in cotton candy. All of this is happening and nobody will believe the kids' warnings. And if you're sick of CGI slop in horror, you'll appreciate the practical effects.

'Wuthering Heights' (2026)

Few movies this year sparked as much argument as Emerald Fennell's "Wuthering Heights," which sits at a divisive 57% on Rotten Tomatoes. The "Saltburn" director takes Emily Brontë's 1847 novel and ramps up the glossy, gothic style. Margot Robbie stars as the willful Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi is the brooding Heathcliff, two people whose all-consuming, destructive love tears apart everyone around them on the Yorkshire moors. You may love it, you may hate it. But one thing's for sure: you won't forget this take on the classic.

‘Scream 7' (2026)

Neve Campbell returns to this classic horror franchise as Sidney Prescott, who's pulled out of hiding when a new Ghostface sets its sights on her daughter. This installment leans hard into nostalgia for the rest of the movies, even going so far as to resurrect familiar faces whose characters didn't necessarily make it out of earlier entries alive. If you're a longtime fan of the series, it's a bloody, referential good time no matter what the reviews say.

Prime Video just added a huge batch of movies on October 1, with 136 new titles now available to stream. That’s a lot of choice for your next movie night, but having more options can sometimes make deciding what to watch even harder. Thankfully, there are a few additions that immediately caught my attention.

The latest arrivals cover a little bit of everything, from a visually stunning sci-fi sequel set in a dystopian future and a gripping disaster thriller based on real events, to a stylish action movie that kicked off a hugely popular franchise. Horror fans are also well served, with a deeply unsettling folk horror movie and a slow-burning period horror tale that turns a remote setting into something truly terrifying.

Rather than spending an hour scrolling through the new additions, I’ve picked out five movies that are going straight onto my watchlist. So, if you’re looking for something new to watch on Prime Video, these are the five movies from the latest arrivals I’m streaming first.

‘Blade Runner 2049’ (2017)

One of Denis Villeneuve’s best movies has to be “Blade Runner 2049,” the stunning sci-fi sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic. Rather than being a straightforward action movie, it takes its time exploring a much bigger mystery surrounding memory, identity and what it actually means to be human. The movie also looks incredible, thanks to legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins, who finally won his first Academy Award for his work here. From the huge futuristic buildings to the striking use of color, “Blade Runner 2049” is a seriously impressive movie to look at.

Set 30 years after the events of “Blade Runner,” the movie follows LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), a newer-generation Blade Runner tasked with tracking down rogue replicants. During one investigation, K uncovers a long-hidden discovery that leads him to a former Blade Runner named Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), who disappeared three decades earlier. As K follows a trail of clues across a futuristic Los Angeles, his investigation takes him from abandoned buildings and farms to the headquarters of the Wallace Corporation.

‘Deepwater Horizon’ (2016)

“Deepwater Horizon” is an intense biographical disaster movie directed by Peter Berg, based on the real-life oil rig disaster that happened in the Gulf of Mexico in April 2010. The movie focuses on the people caught in the middle of the disaster and the desperate fight to survive as everything around them starts to fall apart. One of the most impressive things about the production is that Berg built a huge practical set based on the real oil rig, with an 85% scale replica constructed inside a water tank in Louisiana. Once the disaster begins, the movie barely lets up,.

Mike Williams (Mark Wahlberg) is an electronics technician who arrives at the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico for another shift alongside his fellow crew members. As work gets underway, Mike and rig supervisor Jimmy Harrell (Kurt Russell) discover problems with the well and question whether it is ready for drilling. Their concerns are dismissed as operations continue, leading to a catastrophic blowout that sends the rig into chaos. With explosions and fire rapidly spreading across the platform, Mike and the rest of the crew must find a way to escape.

‘John Wick’ (2014)

My dad’s favorite action franchise has to be “John Wick,” and honestly, it’s the ultimate dad movie. I’ve even found myself rewatching the movies over the years just to watch Keanu Reeves take down bad guys in increasingly ridiculous ways. The first movie was a surprise hit that helped revive Reeves’ career as an action star and eventually turned into one of the biggest action franchises around. It also looks fantastic, with neon lighting, sharp suits and plenty of stylish action inspired by Hong Kong cinema and anime. Add in the pounding soundtrack and you’ve got a seriously fun action movie.

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is a retired hitman who is trying to live a quiet life following the death of his wife. His attempt at a fresh start is shattered when a group of criminals break into his home, steal his prized 1969 Mustang and kill the puppy his wife left him. The attack brings Wick back into the criminal underworld he had left behind, where he sets out to find those responsible. His actions soon attract the attention of the gang’s powerful leader, who places a bounty on Wick and sends a series of dangerous assassins after him.

‘Midsommar’ (2019)

We’re officially in October, which means there’s no better time to settle in with a horror movie, and “Midsommar” is one I’d definitely recommend. As a huge horror nerd, it takes a lot for a movie in this genre to genuinely get under my skin, but this one managed it. What makes “Midsommar” so memorable is how different it looks from most horror movies, with almost the entire story taking place in the bright Swedish summer sunshine. That somehow makes everything feel even more unsettling, especially as the movie gets increasingly strange and disturbing.

A grieving American student travels to a remote Swedish village with her boyfriend and his friends for a rare midsummer festival. At first, the trip seems like an idyllic getaway, with the group welcomed by the secluded community and its unusual traditions. However, their visit takes an increasingly disturbing turn as the festival's ceremonies become more unsettling and members of the group begin disappearing. As Dani (Florence Pugh) and the others discover more about the community, they must confront a series of terrifying rituals they never expected.

‘The Witch’ (2015)

On a similar note, we have another horror movie, although this one is considerably darker. “The Witch,” written and directed by Robert Eggers, is a period horror movie set in 1630s New England. One of the things I love about the movie is how much effort went into making it feel authentic, with the dialogue based on historical journals, court records and religious texts from the period. The cast also speaks in Early Modern English, which gives the whole movie a strange, unsettling quality. If you’re a fan of folk horror, this is definitely one to watch.

In 1630s New England, a Puritan family is forced to leave their settlement and build a new home on an isolated patch of land beside a vast forest. Their situation quickly deteriorates when their youngest child mysteriously disappears while in the care of eldest daughter Thomasin (Anya Taylor-Joy). As the family struggles with a failing harvest and a series of increasingly disturbing incidents, suspicion falls on Thomasin. Her younger siblings accuse her of causing the strange events, while her parents begin to question whether they can trust their daughter.

Prime Video’s top 10 list is always changing, but there are a few shows that deserve a little more attention than the rest. With plenty of options to choose from, finding something worth settling in for can be frustrating, especially when you’re looking for a show you can actually binge rather than something to dip in and out of. This week, I’ve picked out three shows from Prime Video’s current top 10 that are worth adding to your watchlist.

First up is the new action-packed “Reacher” spin-off following a former military investigator turned private detective as she looks into the suspicious death of an old friend. There’s also a seven-part retelling of the Merlin legend that puts the legendary wizard at the center of an epic story about the birth of Britain. Finally, a 2017 sci-fi series imagines humanity returning 400 years after its extinction, with three people brought back to a world that has moved on without them.

‘Neagley’

Still holding strong in the No. 1 spot is “Neagley,” the new action-thriller and first official spin-off from the “Reacher” universe. While it shares plenty of DNA with “Reacher,” the new series puts a different character at the center of the story and takes things in a slightly different direction. Instead of following a wandering drifter, “Neagley” focuses on corporate security and a high-stakes investigation that pulls its characters into a much bigger conspiracy. The story is also completely original, having been written specifically for TV rather than adapting one of Lee Child’s novels.

Frances Neagley (Maria Sten) is a former Army investigator and longtime colleague of Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) who now works as a private investigator in Chicago. When her childhood friend Tommy dies after walking into an oncoming train, police initially treat the death as an accident. However, Neagley receives a mysterious message from Tommy that makes her question what really happened. She begins investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, eventually uncovering evidence that points to something much larger.

‘Rise of the Merlin’

“The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin” is a seven-episode fantasy series that puts a more grounded spin on the classic Arthurian legend. Originally produced as a live-action series for DailyWire+, it has since arrived on Prime Video for a wider audience. Rather than going down the traditional high-fantasy route, the show is set in 5th-century post-Roman Britain and presents the story with a much grittier, more historical feel. It’s based on Stephen R. Lawhead’s “The Pendragon Cycle” novels and focuses on the early lives of Taliesin and Merlin, offering a fresh look at the origins of two legendary figures.

Set in Roman-occupied Britain, Merlin (Tom Sharp) is the young prophet who becomes caught up in the struggle for the future of the island. As Britain’s tribes descend into conflict and invading forces threaten to seize control, Merlin’s journey takes him from his early years through exile and into the heart of a divided kingdom. Along the way, he encounters powerful rulers, forms important alliances and discovers more about the role he is destined to play. The seven-part series follows his efforts to bring rival factions together and ultimately help establish the conditions for the rise of the king.

‘Extinct’ (2017)

If you enjoy a good post-apocalyptic series, “Extinct” is worth checking out. The show was originally planned as a feature film before being expanded into a 10-episode TV series, with “Ender’s Game” author Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnston behind the project. It follows a group of survivors trying to make sense of a world that has been changed by an alien invasion, giving the series plenty of survival drama alongside its sci-fi mystery. “Extinct” was actually canceled after its first season, but the story still reaches a fairly satisfying stopping point, thanks to its origins as a standalone movie script.

The series is set 400 years after humanity has been wiped out, when an alien civilization restores three people named Ezra (Chad Michael Collins), Abram (Yorke Fryer) and Feena (Victoria Atkin). Awakening in an abandoned settlement, the trio must learn what happened to the human race and why they were brought back. As they explore their unfamiliar surroundings, they encounter other survivors, strange alien technology and a group known as the Skin Riders. Their search for answers leads them to discover more about the first humans who were restored and the forces threatening the newly revived population.

If you were charged for an Amazon Prime subscription between 2019 and 2025 without clear consent, or struggled to cancel your account, you could be due a direct payout of up to $200.

Starting October 1, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is launching an expanded distribution phase of its landmark $2.5 billion settlement with Amazon. The updated terms open up eligibility to millions of additional consumers and increase the maximum payout cap per customer.

Best of all, eligible subscribers do not need to fill out a claim form or jump through administrative hoops to get their money.

Why Amazon is paying out $2.5 billion?

The payments stem from federal regulatory actions alleging that Amazon used deceptive online checkout screens to enroll consumers into paid Prime memberships without explicit authorization. The FTC also alleged that the retailer made cancelling subscriptions unnecessarily complex.

Under the $2.5 billion agreement, Amazon agreed to pay a $1 billion civil fine alongside $1.5 billion earmarked directly for consumer restitution. As of September, federal regulators report that over $845 million has already been distributed to affected subscribers.

How much money will you get

A recent federal court order raised the maximum individual payout cap from $51 to $200.

If you were part of the initial wave of refunds and only received the original $51 cap, you do not need to take any action.

The FTC confirmed that supplemental payments of up to $149 will automatically be sent to bring qualifying recipients up to the new $200 maximum.

How you will receive your payout

There are no claim forms, verification portals, or applications required. Amazon will issue funds directly through:

• PayPal or Venmo: Direct transfers to the primary digital wallet linked to your account.
• Mailed Paper Checks: Sent to the physical address associated with your Amazon account.
• Electronic transfers and paper checks must be redeemed or cashed within 60 days of issuance. Unclaimed funds will be returned to the settlement pool.
