There are two kinds of smart glasses: AR glasses and AI frames. Of the two, AR glasses, I believe, are the most useful right now. They basically add a giant external monitor to your face and keep your neck from getting kinked.

Unfortunately, there's a glut of smart glasses that are on sale for Prime Day, and most of them aren't worth your time. They're either e-waste taking up space or they don't actually do what you need.

I've picked four smart glasses that are still on sale as Prime Day winds down and that you should check out. I've personally tried all of them, and I don't think you'll be disappointed if you pick any pair on this list. Plus, they're all discounted right now.

Up front, the RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses aren't the cheapest on this list, but at sub-$300 at full price, they're still pretty nice to your wallet. And Prime Day knocks $60 off the usual $299 price.

If all you want is great picture quality, the Air 4 Pros have got you covered. These glasses offer a 1080p HDR10 201-inch virtual display with 3D capabilities. As far as I know, these are the first AR glasses to breach the 200-inch size and the first to offer HDR10 quality.

The subtle design is comfortable to wear for a long session and doesn't get too hot, unlike some cheaper AR specs. At $299, these were a steal, but at $239, you need to take a look.

Xreal One Pro — the top dog

I'm taking a leap up the price tag chain, but Xreal is the top dog in the AR glasses world for a reason.

The Xreal One Pros are feature-packed and built for enthusiasts who want more than just a display. To start, they're $100 off for Prime Day, but these glasses come with a super wide 57-degree field of view, one of the largest available on the market. It does produce some edge fringing, but it's not terribly distracting.

That view can be anchored in place for focus, or it will smoothly track where you're looking around, so you can always have the screen in front of you. The powerful X1 chip is situated in the glasses, meaning you don't need a computer puck or an app. Plus, the smaller glass prisms mean these glasses are comfortable and give you a private workspace whenever your travels take you.

Viture Luma Pro — game away

What sets the Viture Luma Pros apart from the other glasses on this list is the picture quality customization options. They feature physical myopia adjustment dials so you can adjust the picture for your needs quickly and easily.

Viture combines a 1200p display with Viture's amazing color science, a 52-degree field of view, 1,000 nit brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. All perfect for gaming on the go.

Additionally, of the glasses I'm highlighting, these look the most like a normal pair of sunglasses, which means you can wear them anywhere without standing out in a crowd.

RayNeo Air 3s —the wallet friendly option

Look, if you just want to save money but still want a personal giant screen, then you need to take a look at the RayNeo Air 3s. It's the predecessor to the Air 4 Pro.

If you just want something that will plug into your Steam Deck, laptop, or phone on the go, then at $189 for Prime Day, these glasses are the perfect pair.

Compared to other options on this list, they do stand out more, especially with the nearly mirror finish on the cover lenses. Still, they come with 1080p picture quality, a 120Hz refresh rate, good color, and low blue light.

For AR glasses beginners who don't care about a ton of features or spatial computing and just want a massive private display for not a lot of dough, I'd go with the Air 3s. And when you're ready to upgrade, the Air 4 Pros are right there.

This week, I've been recommending the LG C5 to anyone shopping for a TV at Amazon's Prime Day sales event. It was the only TV to earn our coveted five-star rating last year for its incredible picture quality and class-leading features, and for most of the week, its sale price of $1,199 represented one of the best Prime Day deals.

But today, on the last day of the sale, its price dropped even further. For a limited time, you can get the 65-inch LG C5 at Amazon for $1,099. It's the cheapest the 65-inch C5 has ever been, and it's not going to stick around at this price for very long.

To put this discount into perspective, consider this: The 65-inch LG B5, an entry-level OLED that doesn't offer the same level of performance, is currently $100 more expensive than the C5.

The LG C5 comes from a long line of award-winning LG C Series OLEDs. Year after year, it's one of the most popular picks among our readers, and it's easy to see why.

OLED TVs like the C5 deliver next-level contrast because they don't rely on a separate, LED-based backlight. Instead, every pixel in the display is self-illuminating, which has a ton of performance-based advantages when compared to a traditional LCD/LED TV.

Look, I'll be real with you: It's the last day of Prime Day and Amazon slapped a "Limited Time" badge on this deal. You'll still be able to buy the 65-inch LG C5 for a reasonable, discounted price after today, but I don't know if it'll ever drop back to $1,096 again once this deal expires.

Unfortunately, my phone is often glued to my hand. I think it's my worst trait, and I know it has a massive impact on far more than just the divet in my little finger (you probably have one too, just saying).

Despite my affliction for scrolling into the early hours, I'm actually up and at 'em bright and early most days. Whether I'm catching a 7 am train or heading to the airport, there's always a reason to drag myself out from under the covers... even if my eyes are still half-shut. That's why, last year, I decided to get one of the best sunrise alarm clocks.

The easy wake-up

You can alter your wake routine in the Hatch app to best suit you and your circadian rhythm. I opt for a 15-minute routine. This works well for me, and I almost always wake up before the sound section of my alarm.

The clock lights up my bedroom with a dim glow that brightens over the 15-minute cycle, mimicking a sunrise. This means that my body isn't simply dealing with the shock of a blaring alarm but can naturally stir, so I don't feel like I'm being cheated out of sleep.

This has massively improved my mood every morning. Before using this clock, you couldn't talk to me until after I'd brushed my teeth and spent 30 minutes staring at the wall for fear of coming face to face with a few grunts and a blunt reply laced with an attitudinal edge. But now my morning persona is far more tolerable — even nice to be around.

The calm wind-down

My main pitfall when unwinding for the night is my phone. I use the iPhone's Night Shift mode to reduce blue light exposure and limit my screen time on apps, but it still never seems to cut it. But while the alarm initially requires my phone for setup, once your routine is built, you can fully control it from the Hatch device.

Now, at nighttime, my room is a phone-free zone, saving me from hours of doomscrolling. My favorite feature on the alarm is the reading light, so I can still cram in some evening entertainment with a good book, sans blue light.

You can do all your running in one shoe. That’s not a bad way to go about things, as long as you pick up a good versatile sneaker that’s comfortable but still pretty speedy. One such shoe is the Asics Superblast 2, which is down to $149 at Amazon for Prime Day.

However, as a keen runner who’s logged 16 marathons, I prefer to use a running shoe rotation, mixing and matching shoes to the runs I have planned that day.

I’ll use a cushioned trainer for my easy runs where I prioritize comfort and protection, a faster trainer for tempo and interval workouts, and then a dedicated carbon plate super shoe on race day.

Buying three shoes is expensive upfront, but since they all last longer than if you’re using the same one shoe every day, it works out pretty even in the long term. Cushioned trainer — Asics Gel-Nimbus 27

The Asics Gel-Nimbus line is very popular with runners and has been so for 28 generations at this point — the Gel-Nimbus 28 came out this year, but I don’t rate it as a notable improvement on the previous model myself.

Popular shoes that get updates every year are always worth looking out for in sales, and the Asics Gel-Nimbus 27 is currently $109 at Amazon, down from $165.

It does the job of a comfortable daily trainer brilliantly, with a stable and supportive ride to project your legs on easy runs. The Nimbus is not a fast shoe, but you’ve got the rest of your rotation for that.

Fast trainer — New Balance SC Trainer v3

If you’re following a structured training plan you’ll no doubt have one or two workouts to tackle each week, like tempo runs and interval sessions, and a plated training shoe like the New Balance SC Trainer v3 is perfect for them.

It’s a well-cushioned but lightweight shoe with a springy foam in the midsole alongside the plate, creating a fast ride that’s still comfortable enough to use the shoe regularly for training runs.

I really enjoyed testing the SC Trainer v3 but at full price I don’t think it’s great value. Now it’s reduced to $127 in the Prime Day sale, it’s a much more attractive option.

Race day shoe — Brooks Hyperion Elite 5

Come race day I just wanted the fastest possible sneaker on my foot, which means a carbon plate super-shoe.

These are expensive and less durable than trainers, and less comfortable too, so I only really use them for key workouts and then race day.

Right now the Brooks Hyperion Elite 5 is the racer I’d buy in the Amazon Prime Day sale thanks to the massive $75 saving you get on its full price.

While it’s not my absolute favorite racer on the market, carbon shoes rarely get big discounts, and the Hyperion Elite 5 will serve you very well in your pursuit of PRs.

It's the final day of Amazon's sales event, but there's still time to pick up some Prime Day deals. If you're a gamer then it's a particularly good time to pick up a peripheral or two that will help you take your gaming to the next level.

Apple price hikes are official, and even the MacBook Neo hasn’t been spared. Originally praised for what it offered at its original $599 starting price, Apple’s budget laptop now starts at $699. That’s certainly bad news, but thankfully, you can still get the Neo for its old price — and it’s not at Amazon.

Right now, the MacBook Neo is $599 at Best Buy. While this isn’t listed as a deal or at a reduced price on the site, it’s effectively a discount given the Neo’s recent $100 price bump. I suspect this pricing won’t last long, so I urge you to take advantage now. Here’s why you should consider buying the MacBook Neo.

The MacBook Neo is one of the best MacBooks because it's a reliable, sturdy laptop for students, workers on the move, or anyone looking for a budget laptop. The A18 Pro chip inside gives it solid performance for general day-to-day tasks like writing documents, editing photos, browsing the web, and even some light gaming. Though it lacks a backlit keyboard, its display is brighter and more colorful than those of similarly priced Windows laptops.

The MacBook Neo is with you for the long haul thanks to its stellar battery life. In our testing, the Neo lasted for an impressive 13 hours and 28 minutes. That’s an hour or two shy of MacBook Air levels of endurance. Speaking of the MacBook Air, the Neo takes the best parts of that laptop, including its aluminum chassis, but adds some fun colors that make it attractive for the office, classroom, and while you’re out and about.

If you can live with the trade-offs, such as paying an extra $100 for Touch ID, 8GB of RAM tops, and no Thunderbolt support for faster data transfer, then you have the best budget laptop on the market. Again, this MacBook Neo deal won’t last long, so act now!

Amazon Prime Day is winding down, but there’s still time to score a last-minute deal on a TV before the event ends. For some of those TVs, it’ll be the last big sale they see.

Take the Samsung S90F, for instance. This showstopping OLED is one of my favorite Samsung TVs, but because it was recently replaced by its successor, the Samsung S90H, today might be your last chance to get your hands on it before its stock runs out.

Right now, the 48-inch Samsung S90F is $797 at Amazon during the last day of Prime Day. It’s the lowest price on record for this modestly sized, mid-range OLED, and it won’t be around forever.

OLED TVs are known for their sensational contrast. Unlike LCD TVs (which rely on some sort of backlight system), every pixel in the S90F's display is self-illuminating. This has some seriously positive impacts on its performance, as self-lit pixels allow for perfect black levels and surgical contrast control.

The S90F may not get as bright as a more-expensive, flagship-level OLED TV, but thanks to its deep, inky black levels, its highlights pop in a way that LCD TVs can't quite replicate. This translates to an incredible sense of visual depth.

One major reason why the S90F is one of my favorite OLED bargains is because it offers almost all of the streaming- and gaming-related features you'll find in higher-end Samsung TVs. The S90F supports 4K gaming at 120Hz (and up to 144Hz when connected to a gaming PC) across all four of its HDMI 2.1-compatible inputs. FreeSync support and G-Sync compatibility are here, as well as Samsung's Gaming Hub software suite.

If the 48-inch S90F is too small for your living space, it's worth noting that the 65-inch Samsung S90F is $1,197 at Amazon right now, which is also the all-time lowest price for that model. As is the case with the 48-inch version, the 65-inch S90F won't be around much longer.

Ever since I first saw one in person, I’ve wanted Samsung’s The Frame. The concept is genuinely awesome: a TV that doubles as a stunning piece of art when it’s off, and the execution is beautiful. But the price tag has always given me pause.

Between the hefty base cost, the separately sold bezels, and the ongoing art subscription, the expenses add up fast. Enter the Amazon Ember Artline Fire TV. It’s Amazon’s direct answer to The Frame, and it just plummeted to $699, its lowest price ever for Prime Day.

With Prime Day in its final hours, this the kind of ticking-clock deal you won't want to miss.

Here’s what makes the Ember Artline worth paying attention to: the frame is included right in the box, and you can choose from 10 different colors. Personally, I loved "fig," but my partner wasn't a fan, so we settled on the classic walnut.

With Samsung's The Frame, the bezel is sold separately, which adds meaningfully to the overall cost. The Ember Artline also comes with access to over 2,000 pieces of artwork to display for free, and you can upload your own photos too. Samsung charges a subscription for its Art Store.

On the TV side, the Ember Artline is a 4K QLED panel with a matte coating, the same finish that makes The Frame look so convincingly like actual artwork on a wall. It supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, runs Fire TV out of the box for easy access to Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, and all the major streaming services, and is 1.5 inches thick when wall mounted. Plus, Alexa+ voice control.

Right now the 55-inch is $699 down from $899, and the 65-inch is $899, down from $1,099. Both are at their lowest prices ever. If, like me, you've been eyeing The Frame for ages but haven't been able to justify the full cost, this is the alternative that makes the most sense.

I recently got my hands on the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3. I popped it out of the box, charged it up and switched my music on. Not only did it sound amazing, I’ve been using it for weeks since and still haven’t had to recharge.

I shouldn’t have been surprised, because Tribit consistently makes some of the best Bluetooth speakers. And since it’s Prime Day right now, you can score a saving on it that makes it an even better value.

I know Bluetooth speakers aren’t a new concept, but I’m the kind of person who always uses my phone’s speaker for music. I wasn’t expecting to feel such a real difference from a device that’s not much larger than my phone and costs about twenty times less money.

When I was testing it out, I was blasting tunes so loud that they could be heard all through my house. And probably down the street, too. It brought a new dimension to the tracks I was listening to and a truly 3D-feeling soundscape. My soundtrack of choice the first time I used it was from Pikmin via the Nintendo Music app, and the naturalistic environmental sounds surrounding my ears from every direction made me feel like I was out experiencing the world right alongside the bite-sized creatures from the video game.

It’s rated for 24 hours of battery life. I’ve been using it for an hour or so a day for weeks since I got it, and the battery still hasn’t died on me. And reminder — this tiny speaker measures just about the same size as the palm of my hand.

A magnetic design (literally)

One of my favorite features about the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 is that it’s magnetic. I’m always short on desk space, so I struggle to fit even this tiny speaker amongst my other stuff. But thanks to this speaker, I discovered that my desk has magnetic metal legs. Boom, better music and less clutter on my desktop all in one. It’s also great that I can stick it on my fridge door while I’m cooking in the kitchen. And if you’re outdoorsy, you could also mount it on your bike’s handlebars, or attach it to your backpack using the rubber strap.

I’m not the only person at Tom’s Guide who loves this speaker. My colleague Ashley Thieme wrote about it in her Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 review and had a ton of praise for its strong, bassy sound. I’m not too bothered about tweaking EQ for my music (sorry, audiophiles,) but take note that it is possible with this speaker. Use the Tribit app and you can tweak the sound exactly to your preferences.

The Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 has impressed me so much that I’d recommend it to just about anyone. In fact, multiple members of my family have already said they’re going to steal it off of me. So I guess I’ll either have to keep my speaker under lock and key or pick up a few more of them to hand out in the coming weeks.

The LG C5 OLED is the best TV... wait, what? It's not? The LG C5 OLED topped our list of the best TVs for a long time, but it's since lost its spot to a newer model. Still, it's great value and way cheaper than the LG B6 OLED that currently holds the crown. For Prime Day, you can grab it for $1,096 and enjoy its gorgeous picture quality and amazing contrast. The brightness is good for an OLED TV, too, and there are tons of handy features on board for gamers.

Happy Friday and last day of Prime Day! Deals EIC Louis tagging in for my colleague Millie. So we're now in the final hour of Prime Day and if there's one thing I recommend buying — it's Amazon's own hardware. Fire TV Sticks, Echo speakers, Echo smart displays, Blink security cameras — you name it. They're all selling at their lowest price of the year right now. If you want a personal rec, I purchased the Echo Show 11 (on sale for $149) during the Amazon Spring Sale and so far I love it. It's great having a smart display in my kitchen when I need to look something up (or ask something) and I love pairing it to my iPhone to play music.

Dollar Shave Club is known for their excellent (and affordable) manual razors. I've been a fan for years and DSC recently launched a new line of electrics. The lineup includes a beard trimmer, nose/eyebrow trimmer, and head shaver. As part of Amazon's Prime Day sales, the entire lineup is currently discounted.

I started using the DSC electric head shaver a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I love that it doesn't pull hair and it does an excellent job shaving your head with zero nicks and scratches. It's also very fast — I was able to shave my noggin' in roughly 10 minutes. (Try doing that with a manual razor).

Panasonic's electric razor is like no other...

I've tried plenty of electric razors, but the Panasonic ARC5 Pro is the only one I can truly call a game changer. It's the smoothest and most comfortable electric razor I've used. Laptop prices are going up, up, up...

I’ve got one final deal for you as Prime Week 2026 comes to a close, and that’s on a staff-favorite mechanical keyboard. I've always been a big fan of Roku streamers, but recently I've been mulling over the idea of swapping for an Apple TV 4K. Not only am I getting tired of Roku's advertising, but the Roku Streambar that's been powering my TV for five and a half years seems to be glitching a lot more than usual. Yesterday saw me finally take the plunge and make that purchase.

Discounts on Apple products are quite rare, and the Apple TV 4K was not fortunate enough to be discounted in Amazon's Prime Day sale — or at any rival retailers. But considering Apple has just announced a series of price hikes, including a $70 increase on the Apple TV 4K, I realized it was now or never.

It seems that a lot of other people had the same idea, and it's actually become quite hard to find an Apple TV 4K at the old $129 price tag. Apple has a plentiful supply if you're willing to pay $199, but there's something about being asked to pay so much money for a 4-year-old device that rubs me the wrong way.

So here are the retailers that still have stock at the old price.

Why choose the Apple TV 4K?

One of the main benefits of buying an Apple TV 4K is that it's got the cleanest interface of any streaming device around. Unlike some rivals it's not constantly pushing you towards Apple services, or showcasing ads that you may or may not be interested in. That also means that there are no random branded buttons on the remote, a feature that has always bugged me.

You also have support for Apple smart home devices, Dolby Atmos and HDR10+, an ethernet port on the more expensive 128GB option and the ability to play games from the App Store.

Performance was also excellent at the time of release, thanks to the A15 Bionic chipset. And while old, I'm not sure whether you need iPhone or MacBook-tier performance on a streaming box. As long as it loads quickly and plays the content I want without issue, it's good with me.

There's also access to Siri, but due to the Apple TV's age, the current model isn't able to run Siri AI — even with the tvOS 27 beta installed. If you're desperate for Apple's AI on your TV, you might want to wait for the upgraded model that's rumored to be in development. But who knows whether that will arrive this year, or some unspecified point in the future. You certainly won't be getting it for a low price.

Me? I'm picking it up for the interface and the lack of advertising. There are too many ads on the internet, especially on streaming services, and I've grown tired of seeing ads on my home screen as well.

Where you can actually buy Apple TV 4K for the old price

It looks as though the Apple TV 4K has proven very popular over the last 24 hours. Walmart claims that it has sold over 500 of the things since yesterday, while Amazon and Best Buy have both run out of stock.

Walmart is arguably the best option if you want your streaming box as soon as possible, offering next day same-day delivery and in-store pickup for those of you willing to drive to your nearest location. You can also get free shipping, as well as the usual slew of extended trials for Apple services — including Apple TV and Apple Music.

However Walmart has flagged the Apple TV 4K for low stock, which means there's a good chance they will also run out soon. You can guarantee that the next batch they receive is going to be priced on par with Apple.

Target isn't offering pickup or same-day delivery, but it will still ship you a 64GB Apple TV 4K with the promise that it will arrive by June 30. That shipping is also free, but there's no mention of the extended free trials that Walmart is offering.

If both those retailers run out of stock, then it's always worth checking out sites like eBay to see if you can pick up a used model. Some of the prices have started going up already, and I saw one open box Apple TV with a $189 asking price, so it seems some sellers are already catching on and trying to take advantage of the price hike.

We're into the last day of Amazon's big Prime Day deals bonanza, which means if you've been holding out on hitting the 'buy' button, now's your best chance to save some cash.

There are already a load of great running shoe deals for those of us who like to spend our evenings and weekends clocking up miles. But the one I wanted to tell you about is the current 30% price drop on New Balance FuelCell Supercomp Elite V5 at Amazon.

This is, no question, an expensive running shoe. But I'm equipped to tell you it's a good running shoe because it's the one I lace up three or four times a week.

I regularly run close to 20 miles a week in the FuelCell SC Elite V5 and find it to be exceedingly light and springy. The push-off you get from this shoe is pronounced and a lot better at cutting my split times down than other shoes I've used in the past. I have wide feet, but the shoe grips them comfortably without ever becoming too tight. It's not bad on the cornering, either.

These shoes have been on something of a journey with me this year. I initially planned a second marathon attempt back in April, but it got derailed due to injury. These were the shoes that were going to carry me around 26.2 miles. And although I didn't review them for Tom's Guide, my colleague Nick did, and he concluded they were a "lighter, narrower and faster shoe than the New Balance SC Elite v4, which makes it a better racer for me."

If you want the specifics, it has a stack height of 40mm at the heel, which drops to 32mm at the forefoot for an 8mm offset. It’s lighter than its predecessor, with the SC Elite v5 weighing 7.4oz in a US men’s size 9.5 compared to 8.6oz for the SC Elite. The midsole is made 100% PEBA foam, which is the bounciest, lightest, and best material in New Balance's arsenal.

The best discount I found (30%) is on the Boysenberry/Afterglow edition which isn't the colorway in the pictures, but take my advice and go for the discount over the color. You can still score 21% off the Urgent Red/White/Black I have, but you're paying more for the same shoe.

The current heatwave that has had the UK in a sweltering chokehold might be coming to an end, but the next one is right around the corner. The MET office has predicted a hotter than average July and more 'red temperature alerts' for Brits, which is terrible news for anyone like me who struggles to sleep in high heat. And things aren't looking any better for large parts of the US, with the Old Farmer's Almanac predicting a 'hotter than usual summer'.

After almost a week of sleepless nights, I’m thinking ahead to when the next heatwave hits — and I refuse to be caught out again. I thought closing my windows during the day was enough to cool the house down at night. But I clearly need more cooling tech on my side to get through this new breed of heatwave we're now facing.

Looking for one pair of hiking shoes that just gets the job done? Merrell. Moab. 3. Finished. I'm clocking out; my work here is done.

I jest, but the Merrell Moab 3 are seriously some of the best hiking shoes you can get. Everything about these shoes is expert-level: the 5mm grippy Vibram soles; the super-cushioned tongue and protective sides; the aesthetic. Not only do they look gorpcore-fashion-magazine-ready, but they're also functional. I wore them on long, long hikes, and my feet were comfortable from the off.

If you're looking for one pair of hiking shoes you can wear until they literally fall apart, I'd recommend the Moab 3. I walked 316,000 steps in these shoes during my testing period, and I didn't want to take them off. My personal hiking boots are the Merrell Accentor, which I've had since early 2022, and they're still fresh and fruity. No rips, no wearing down of the sole, no degradation in the fabrics. While I've only had the Moab 3 for a few months, judging by the sturdiness of the Accentor, I'd estimate they'll last a while.

Merrell also makes a waterproof version, but this style isn't discounted right now. I tested the non-waterproof version and found it waterproof enough for light rain or gently damp conditions. Obviously, don't go walking through rivers or paddling in streams wearing them. If that's how you spend your time, I'd recommend the Keen Hyperport H2.

If you want the waterproof version, it's $150 rather than $70.

What makes the Merrell Moab 3 so good?

There are three main reasons why the Merrell Moab 3 are some of the best hiking shoes out there.

1. Supreme comfort
2. Supportive, grippy soles
3. Aesthetic

Now, I know some people aren't concerned with the appearance of hiking shoes, and that's fine. But, personally, I want a shoe that can do it all. I'm looking for one pair of hiking shoes that can also double up as everyday shoes — it's part of the reason why I love the Keen Jasper Zionic just as much as I love the Merrell Moab 3.

The Moab 3 are incredibly cushioned. If that's not your vibe, then, again, I'd recommend the Jasper Zionic instead. I can wear both types of shoe, so I love the Moab 3 for some days, and the Jasper Zionic for others.

What stood out to me about the Moab 3 was the performance during long hikes. I'm talking 3+ hours. The cushioned insole, tongue, and toe box helped my feet feel refreshed even after way too many miles. I wish the ankle was more supported, but this is a common issue with hiking shoes versus boots. Still, the ankle is extremely cushioned, but I would like a touch more support.

Lastly, the sole. The Moab 3 have a super-grippy custom Vibram rubber outsole with 5mm lugs. In my 4.5-star review, I wrote that "going uphill [is] a breeze due to the 5mm, grippy lugs, even in muddy environments. The sole is fantastic at finding a hold and gluing you to it without any input from you.

I added, "After a spate of wet weather, I embarked on a downhill stony path-slash-slimy death trap, and I didn’t slip once. I’ve slipped on this path while wearing the Keen Seek, but never while wearing the Keen Jasper Zionic. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t slip with the Moab 3s."

If I'm saying I didn't slip, that means something. I'm one of the clumsiest people ever to grace the planet. Or, would that be ungrace the planet? Nothing I do can be remotely described as "graceful" — but the Moab 3 help me get as close as possible.

The Merrell Moab 3 are a shoe that can genuinely do it all. Steep ascent in wet conditions? Yep! Steep descent in mud? Maybe more of a challenge, but yes! I recommend the Moab 3 for everyone who wants one pair of outdoor shoes that just get the job done.

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks putting Sony’s new Bravia 7 II True RGB TV through its paces (with a deeper dive coming next week), and so far I've been seriously impressed by its contrast, colour accuracy and brightness.

Despite being one step below Sony's flagship Bravia 9 II, the Bravia 7 II holds its own with the best of them. I went in expecting exceptionally vivid colours due to its use of individually controlled red, green and blue backlights, but what really blew me away was how it was able to achieve OLED-like black levels without any noticeable light bleed — all while keeping the kind of brightness you’d normally only see from the best Mini LED TVs.

As pointed out in our Bravia 7 II review, the TV is a beast when it comes to HDR performance, and my favourite thing about it has to be that it comes factory-calibrated to industry-standard levels, meaning it provides a look based on Sony's own master monitors (used by Hollywood colourists) right out of the box.

Best of all? The brand-new Bravia 7 II has already been discounted by upwards of AU$1,500 (depending on the retailer) as part of this year's EOFY sales. The biggest discount can be found on 85-inch model, which will usually set you back AU$7,499 but is currently down to AU$5,999 on Sony's online store with free shipping included. Alternatively, you could pick it up from The Good Guys for just AU$5,985, though that doesn't include shipping costs.

While the best deal can be had on the 85-incher, the next biggest discount can be found on the 75-inch model, which has dropped by AU$1,000 to just AU$5,499 AU$4,499.

Meanwhile, the 65‑inch model is now AU$700 off, dropping from AU$3,999 to AU$3,299, while the 55‑inch falls from AU$2,999 to AU$2,499, and the 50‑inch from AU$2,699 to AU$2,299.

While you're shopping for Prime Day deals, you might've noticed that the Ninja Slushi isn't discounted as part of Amazon's annual summer sale. That said, I was checking out SharkNinja's website and was hyped to see the machine that earned me over 1 million views online listed for $100 off right now.

The Ninja Slushi is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets for entertaining, turning everything from cocktails and coffee drinks to frozen sodas into smooth slushies without needing ice. Right now, Ninja has discounted the entry-level model by $100, bringing it down to just $199.

The Ninja Slushi has become the centerpiece of almost every gathering I host. The cranberry vodka mule slushie I made for Friendsgiving that ended up being such a hit, people were asking for refills before they finished their first drink.

More recently, I hosted a cafe-themed birthday party and served vanilla iced coffee slushies that disappeared almost as quickly as I could pour them.

I've made everything from eggnog slushies during the holidays to cherry Coke creations inspired by classic convenience store Slurpees. At this point, it's less of a kitchen appliance and more of an excuse to invite people over.

What makes the Slushi so easy to use is that Ninja does most of the work for you. The machine features dedicated presets depending on what you're making, whether that's a frozen cocktail, coffee drink, milkshake or soda-based slushie. You can also customize the texture, dialing in exactly how icy or smooth you want the final result.

The freezing process depends on factors like sugar content and how much liquid you're adding, but I've personally seen Ninja's RapidChill technology transform drinks into slushies in as little as 20 minutes.

Once it's ready, the machine can keep your drink at the ideal consistency for hours. That's especially useful when hosting, since guests inevitably want another round. (One of my favorite tricks is batching extra drinks in pitchers ahead of time and storing them in the fridge.)

If I have one complaint, it's that cleaning takes a little effort. Thankfully, the machine comes apart intuitively, and after a few uses the process becomes second nature. For me, it's a small tradeoff for a gadget that consistently steals the spotlight whenever friends come over.

If you've been curious about the Ninja Slushi but couldn't justify the original $299 price tag, this $199 deal is the lowest entry point I've seen for a machine that's genuinely changed how I host. And judging by how often guests ask for "whatever slushie you're making tonight," I'd say it's money well spent.

While people's may turn to Amazon this week for Prime Day mattress deals, plenty of popular bed-in-a-box brands are throwing their own rival sales. For instance, the Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress, now $552 (was $649) in a queen at Nectar, is now offering even more value for money.

The Nectar Premier may appear in our best mattress guide for its side-sleeping, body-cradling comfort, but we think the Nectar Classic is the mid-range hero that outperforms its mid-market price tag. Testers felt it offered medium-firm support for all sleep positions, suiting back sleepers the most.

This Nectar deal goes to show that the best Amazon Prime Day mattress deals aren't necessarily at Amazon. Here's why we think the Nectar Classic offers the best value for money and the advantages of buying it from Nectar over Amazon.

The Nectar Classic is one of the best memory foam mattresses on the market thanks to its mid-range price and medium-firm support that offers that Goldilocks-level of comfort for all sleep positions. While it may not be as pressure-relieving as some of the best mattresses for side sleepers, it's ideal for back and combination sleep styles.

Nectar mattress sales are pretty static, tending to boast the same mid-range prices every month. However, this $552-for-a-queen deal deviates from the normal $649 sale price.

Another perk of buying from Nectar (besides this surprise Prime Day-rivalling deal) is the guaranteed benefits. Buying a mattress from Amazon means you're usually facing a murky return policy, but Nectar's benefits are all there in black and white: a 365-night sleep trial, free shipping and free returns, and a lifetime warranty.

Smaller budget? Try this...

We review a lot of coffee makers and espresso machines at Tom's Guide, so it takes a lot to really win us over, but Ninja did just that with the Ninja Luxe Café Pro. When we reviewed it last year, we praised features like its tamping arm, multiple presets, and massive jug for making two lattes at once.

At $749, it was priced as a premium product, along with your DeLonghis and Brevilles. However, for Prime Day, the Luxe Café Pro's price has dropped to $599 at Amazon, making this all the more attractive.

In our Ninja Luxe Café Pro review, Millie Fender, our tester, loved the hot water dispenser, something that was sorely lacking in the original Luxe Café Pro, and will be welcome for those who love making Americanos.

She was also impressed with the grinder — not only does it use a weight-based system that was "shockingly accurate," but the machine can also recognize when you change filter baskets, and it also purges some grounds when you change the grind size, to ensure things remain consistent.

The machine was also great at foaming milk, and it comes with a very large steaming jug, so you can make more than one latte at a time.

The Luxe Café Pro's drip tray is removable, which lets you place larger travel mugs under the group head; it's a handy feature, but the one tradeoff is that you'll have to empty the drop tray more often.

If you're planning to take a vacation this summer, you want to make sure your house is protected against any eventuality, but some of the best smart home devices can get a little pricey, especially if you buy them all together.

Fortunately, Prime Day is a good opportunity to stock up on these devices, as many are on sale, often for a good discount. I've tested dozens of smart home gadgets, and have edited reviews of dozens more, so I've scoured Amazon, Best Buy, and other retailers for the best deals on products that actually work. So, before you pack your bags, make sure that you have these smart home devices looking after things while you're gone.

Security cameras

You'll find plenty of deals on Amazon for all sorts of security cameras and video doorbells, but I'd recommend a camera that doesn't require a subscription, so you don't have to pay a monthly or annual fee just to see the video it recorded.

Smart locks

If you're leaving pets at home or need someone to water your plants, then one of the best smart locks will let you monitor and manage who gets into your house. Smart locks can be programmed with specific codes for specific people, so you'll know when someone types in a code into the keypad.

Water leak detectors

There's nothing worse than coming home to a flooded basement. There's the massive cleanup expense, you'll have to throw out thousands of dollars of waterlogged items you stored in the basement, and there's a potentially huge water bill, too.

At the very least, the best water leak detectors can alert you when something's amiss; these sensors are relatively cheap, so you can place them all around the home, under every sink or anywhere else. Other, more expensive models can automatically shut off your water, saving you even more hassle. Better yet: they may even decrease your insurance bill.

Electricity monitor

Power surges and outages are also something you'll want to keep tabs on. If there's a blackout, you'll want to know if all the food in your fridge will need to be tossed. Or, if there's a power surge, you'll also want to get an alert.

The Ting is a small plug-in device that monitors all the circuits in your home, and measures the voltage and current running through your house. If anything is out of the norm, it will send you a message to your phone. It can also let you know if anything you've plugged into an outlet has faulty wiring.

Smart light, plug or switch

How to you make it look like someone's home when you're not? With a smart light, smart light switch, or a smart plug. They all work pretty much the same these days, but look for ones with specific "vacation modes." This setting will have your lights turn on and off randomly during specific times, to give the appearance that your house is occupied.

If you have floor lamps, a smart plug or smart light will do the trick; if you have a lot of ceiling lights, a smart light switch might be the better choice.

Smart thermostat

Did you know the best temperature to set your AC during the summer is 78º F? Yeah, that may seem a bit high, but whatever your preference, one of the best smart thermostats can manage your home's climate more efficiently, so you're using less energy while still keeping your house cool.

The best smart thermostats can take into account not just the temperature inside your house, but also look at weather reports and other data to recommend proactively cooling your home, so you're using less energy during peak hours.

And, as they're linked to your phone, you can program them so that you're not cooling your house excessively while you're away, but you can still return home to a comfortable environment.

Even better: Many utility companies offer some excellent rebates on smart thermostats, so you can often find them for very little money.

I've been waiting for the Prime Day sales to bring discounts on mattresses but so far the deals are (whisper it)... disappointing. I was ready to write the sale off altogether until I stumbled across the Zinus Green Tea Mattress, now just $162 for a queen at Amazon, and now I'm glad I didn't sleep on these offers.

I reviewed a version of this Zinus bed and I rate it among the best mattresses we've tested when it comes to sheet value for money. I was most impressed by its pressure relief for side sleepers — within minutes of lying on the bed it was as if my shoulders and hips were being cradled by a marshmallow.

So perhaps I was a little hasty to write off the Amazon Prime Day mattress sales. This deal certainly proves there are great offers to be had, although I'll be keeping an eye out more offers in the 4th of July mattress sales. What the Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam is the best bargain mattress to buy this Prime Day

I haven't tested this exact model but I did sleep on an older version of the Zinus 10-inch Green Tea for several weeks. You'll find all the details in my Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress review but with Prime Day nearly over, here are the headline...

It cushions shoulder and hip pain

The stand-out feature of the Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam mattress is its body contouring. As soon as my shoulder hit the bed I could feel the foams moving around me to cushion the joint and prevent sore spots from building up. It's this that earned the Zinus a place in our guide to the best mattresses for side sleepers.

Most side sleepers will know the pain of sleeping on a bed without sufficient cushioning. Think numb arms, tinging hips and aching knees. But because the Zinus hugs those key touch points to evenly distribute weight, you can avoid sore morning.

I sleep alone but I tested this by asking people to hop onto the bed while I had a quick lie down (yes, a strange request.) In some cases they were able to get on and off the mattress without me noticing, so expect minimal disruption from your partner's 3 a.m. wake ups.

Good quality at a low price

The Zinus does have some weak points — I talk about the lack of edge support and heat build-up in my review — and I doubt it has the durability of the best mattresses in a box.

However, there's always some concession to be made when prices are this low. Under $200 for a queen is budget-friendly for any mattress and at just $162 in the Prime Day sales the Zinus is true value for money.

From my experience, it's comfortable enough for a master bedroom and should provide a few years of supported sleep (although not the six year+ mattress lifespan we expect from more expensive beds.) Or you can put it in your spare room, where it'll make visitors happy.

I never thought I'd be so excited to talk about a dishwasher deal. Maybe I'm just getting old, and things that would have done nothing for me have suddenly become the highlight of my day.

Sure, I still love great golf deals as much as I ever did, but this Bosch 800 Series dishwasher for $1,349 at Best Buy has me jumping for joy more than anything.

I tell everyone who's in the market for a new dishwasher to buy this one, even at its full $1,500 price. But at $1,350, I'm going to have to start banging down my friends' doors to tell them to buy one.

5 reasons I love the Bosch 800 Series

I needed a quick way to gather my thoughts and explain why I like this dishwasher so much, and what better way than a list? I could have probably listed 20 things I like about the Bosch 800 Series dishwasher, but that would probably be overkill.

Plus, it's more fun for me to try to pick just five, as it forces me to zero in and not just gush about how great this thing is.

1. Smart features: The whole reason I got this dishwasher was because I wanted to try a smart appliance — I've never owned one before. At first, I thought it was a little gimmicky until one of my kitchen utensils fell and blocked the main spray arm. With a normal dishwasher, it would just run through the whole cycle, cleaning ineffectively, but I got a notification in the Bosch app and ran over and fixed the problem, saving a bunch of energy in the process.
2. It cleans effectively: The most important part of a dishwasher is how well it washes dishes. It's literally the name of the product. It's not called a "dish moistener that leaves stains and residue" or a "dish holder until you get frustrated and wash them by hand." The Bosch 800 Series has been flawless in every cleaning, and I've tried to make it fail with weird dish layouts and stacked large pans, but the dishes still come out clean every time.
3. Adjustability: If there's a bowl, pan, plate or cup you want to wash (and that's dishwasher safe), you can probably adjust the Bosch 800 Series dishwasher to accommodate it. And if you can't, it's probably just too big to fit in any dishwasher.

4. It actually dries well: I'm coming from an older dishwasher that did a terrible job of drying dishes, but I've owned modern models in previous homes, too. I can say with 100% confidence that this is the best dishwasher I've ever used at churning out dry loads. Clean is great, but if I need to spend 15 minutes hand-drying the dishes every load, I might as well just wash them by hand. The only things that don't come out bone dry are products with weird lips that hold water, but nothing is going to suck the water from the lip to dry them, so it's not a knock on the Bosch that those need a little air drying.
5. It's quiet: This isn't super critical for me as I'm not washing dishes in the same room I'm usually hanging out in, but if you are, this thing is quiet. In fact, I'm not sure whether I actually clicked start because I can barely tell it's on. Thankfully, I don't have to walk back to the kitchen to check because I can use the smart features mentioned above to check.

We're on the penultimate day of Amazon's big sales event and the Prime Day deals are showing no sign of slowing down – which is handy for me, as I need to stock up on a few outdoor essentials.

Sure, some folks might not be too keen on the Deco TV's bubbly personality. But, to these jaded, TV-testing eyes, I see a TV that might exist in the retro-futuristic dwellings of Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange."

In a room with contrasting décor — warm wood tones, vintage furniture and such — the Deco TV takes on a form that fashion-forward folks might call a statement piece. In a colorful, neon-lit bedroom with a baddie-style aesthetic, it fits right in.

As a TV-tester and all-around picture purist, I've got to hit you with some facts. For one thing, I've not seen the recently released, 43-inch Deco TV up close, so I can't speak to its performance.

The Deco TV sports a 43-inch QLED display, so I assume that its colors are bit punchier than what you'd get on any number of ultra-cheap, $200 TVs that don't look like they belong in the living room of Joaquin Phoenix's character from the movie "Her."

It supports Dolby Vision (one of the most popular enhanced HDR formats), but I suspect that the Deco TV's HDR support isn't much to write home about, given its modest display technology. File that feature — as well as the Deco TV's Dolby Atmos support — under the "just nice to have" column.

Another perk is the Deco's built-in, Fire TV-based streaming software. While Amazon's software suite isn't my top choice for streaming movies and shows, it's a pleasant-enough backdrop for your quirky, goofball-of-a-TV.

The bottom line? I wouldn't go into the Deco TV experience expecting to be blown away by its picture quality, but it's got smart features, looks like nothing else on the market and doesn't cost much. If you're committed to buying a super-cheap TV, you may as well get an adorable one that catches people's eye.

We haven't seen many discounts on big-name brands while tracking the Amazon UK Prime Day mattress deals, so this discount from the ultra-popular Simba brand is one to snap up soon (a single is almost sold out.)

While some user reviews do criticise the price tag and off-gassing, costumers on the whole praise this mattress topper.

Most Amazon customers love this hybrid mattress topper's ability to add cooling comfort to stuffy memory foam beds, with one reviewer noting that it's "noticeably cooler than any other mattress toppers" and another saying that it adds a "cool and firm layer".

Other customers also praise the pressure relief it adds to the bed, helping with aches and pains. "It's got a nice thickness, weighs a bit but is manageable, helps with controlling temperature and helps with pain relief in my hip," one customer writes.

With the Prime Day deals now into their third day, it could be a good time to pick up one of the best cameras at a very respectable price.

As is often the case with these kinda of sales events, the reductions on pricier mirrorless bodies are, for the most part, pretty poor. Canon is the only major player offering significant discounts, like $150 off the fantastic Canon EOS R50V at B&H. Lumix and Sony are offering only modest discounts, and typically on older models like the A7 III (currently $1,398 at B&H), while Nikon and Fuji are true to form and nowhere to be seen.

Interestingly, though, there are some awesome deals on action and vlogging cameras. My favorite deal is on the GoPro MAX2, one of my top 360 cameras, which is currently $200 off at Amazon.

I've waded through the river of crappy camera deals to find only the ones I'd recommend this Prime Day. Here they are.

Don't be fooled by the dodgy deals

There are a lot of deals out there, but not all of them are good. Take this, the Sony a6700, which is currently reduced from $1,599 to $1,399 at Amazon. Sounds great, right?

Well, let me clue you in on a little price tracking info: the a6700 sat at $1,399 from August 2024 to July 2025, then it got hiked up to $1,500. Back in March, it got hiked up in price again to $1,599. So sure, there are discounts on it right now, but it's only going back down to where it started.

Or how about the Lumix S5IIX, which is ostensibly reduced from $1,919 to $1,797 at Amazon. Well, that got hiked to $1,900 in April so it could look good now. I've seen that camera drop under the $1,500 mark in the past, which is where I'd expect to see it given it's nearly 3 years old.

There's a lot of that floating about right now. "Dynamic pricing" so to speak. I won't be including that kind of deal here. No sir-ee.
