How to watch 'Survivor' 49 online from anywhere for free
Steven has turned the tide on Shannon, but is Jeff Probst about to bail her out?
The merge can't come soon enough. Now if only somebody could tell Jeff Probst and the producers, who clearly aren't watching what we are. Two tribes of five and seven instead become three tribes of four in episode 6, titled "The Devil's Shoes", and the heat and exhaustion take their toll on one castaway.
Here's how to watch "Survivor" 49 online from anywhere with a VPN — and potentially for free.
► Date and time: "Survivor" 49 episode 6, titled "The Devil's Shoes", airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesday, October 29.

Might that castaway be Sophi? Not only has the entrepreneur's team lost every single challenge — meaning she still hasn't had a day with fire — but it was Alex, the only other O.G. Kele, who consigned her to her latest defeat, after Rizo hit her in the face with a ball. It wasn't the RizGod's finest hour, as he also managed to get under Nate's skin and even had his name mentioned at Tribal Council.
The outcome, ultimately, was never in doubt. As the only O.G. Hina on a tribe dominated by former Ulis and honorary Uli Sophi, Jason picked just about the worst strategy imaginable, pledging allegiance to his former tribe members Kristina, MC, Sophie and Steven, while flat-out refusing to even try to disrupt the alliance. But the worst thing was, Jason didn't even think to play his Shot in the Dark! He was voted out unanimously, and it was blindingly obvious.
Shannon and Sophi took no time at all to inveigle themselves into their new tribes' majority alliances. There are infinite ways in which humans can bond. For Sophi and Savannah, being pint-sized brunettes (and Hina's only women) was basis enough for an alliance, whereas in Shannon, Kristina — rightly or wrongly — sees somebody she can confide in. She spoke to the wellness specialist about her mother's death and, whether or not you buy Shannon's whole spiritual schtick or not, Kristina felt all the better for it.
What you might want to avoid doing is leaving a jar full of your own blackheads lying around, and being sceptical to the point of insensitivity of Shannon's overtures towards Kristina. Even if Shannon is indeed a "shark in a spiritual guru’s body", as Steven believes she is, Sage's energies would be better-spent building bridges of her own. Then again, the rocket scientist now appears to have dampened Alex, MC and Kristina's initial enthusiasm towards Shannon.
