When I tested the Sunset Luxe at home and at our sleep lab, I quickly discovered that pressure relief is the highlight of this premium bed. This past month has seen seen some great films hit 4K Blu-ray, with a nice mix of new releases, classics and cult films to watch on your next movie night. As a die‑hard collector, these are the 4K Blu‑ray releases I’m adding to my shelf this month and which I'm willing to recommend to like-minded film buffs.

For new releases, we've got the critically acclaimed sci-fi blockbuster "Project Hail Mary", starring Ryan Gosling, the crowd-pleasing sequel "Mortal Kombat II", and the box office behemoth "Michael", based on the early life of Michael Jackson.

As for classic films, my main pick this month is the long-awaited release of "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair". Long thought to remain a theatrical exclusive, this version of Quentin Tarantino's magnum opus is finally available to view at home, presenting both volumes of this epic revenge story as one long film that runs over four and a half hours, including new footage and the unedited, full colour version of the House of Blue Leaves battle.

And, just in time for Father's Day, this month also sees the 4K debut of the thrilling naval classic, "The Hunt for Red October", along with Brian De Palma's brilliant gangster masterpiece, "The Untouchables" — I've opted for the much cooler-looking steelbook editions of these, however, cheaper standard versions are also available.

Now for my favourite section: cult films. This month sees some excellent releases from Australia's top boutique labels such as Imprint and Umbrella. First up is the brilliant "Tiger on the Beat I & II" boxset, which includes not one, but two of the wildest Hong Kong action comedies you're likely to see.

That's joined by Mario Bava's uber-stylish Italian caper film "Danger: Diabolik", based on a long-running comic series about a suave master thief. This one is beautifully restored and bound to impress those looking for a visual showcase.

Finally, we have arguably the most glorious film of the 1980s: "Road House", starring the late, great Patrick Swayze as a 'cooler' who's brought in to clean up the rowdiest bar in Missouri, only to find himself squaring off against a local crime boss.

You’ll want a proper 4K Ultra HD Blu‑ray player if you’re just getting into the format. The Xbox Series X and PS5 can handle 4K discs, but they cut corners — neither one supports Dolby Vision for physical 4K movies, and Dolby Atmos on PS5 has been a mixed bag in my experience.

And with PlayStation already saying it’s walking away from physical media in the next couple of years — with Xbox likely to follow — grabbing a standalone player now is the safer long‑term move.

Panasonic leads the way when it comes to standalone players, offering entry-level (DP-UB150), mid-range (DP-UB450) and high-end (DP-UB820) players. I personally use the DP-UB450 due to its Dolby Vision support and twin HDMI output, allowing for a dedicated audio-out signal.

The higher-end model offers a few additional bells and whistles, such as advanced upscaling and a more powerful processor, but either of the following options will give you excellent picture and audio.

Google new Pixel 11 lineup released in Australia on August 20, and while that means that it's officially too late to take advantage of any pre-order bonuses, it's still possible to nab one of the new handsets at a great price from Australia's major retailers and carriers.

If you missed out on the lineup's announcement, here's a rundown: the 6.3‑inch Pixel 11, the entry flagship, available from AU$1,499. Next comes the Pixel 11 Pro, also 6.3 inches, starting at AU$1,849, followed by the larger 6.8‑inch Pixel 11 Pro XL at AU$2,099. Topping the range is the premium foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which sports a 6.5-inch outer display and 8‑inch inner display, priced from AU$2,799.

By way of introduction, I'm Tom's Guide's resident broadband expert, and every month I collate and analyse NBN plans from over 30 providers to find the best NBN deals. IHMO, there's a lot to consider when shopping for a suitable NBN plan, but one common factor that gets overlooked is speed.

The conversation around what NBN speed tier you have at home can be a difficult one to navigate. Finding a suitable plan means being realistic about what speeds you'll actually use, over what you’d ideally like to pay. You may find you have too many internet-connected devices (or humans) living in your household and your current plan isn't cutting it, or conversely, you may be overpaying for a fast plan that you actually don’t need.

Regardless of where your household fits in the NBN speed pie chart, there's no denying that Aussies have been embracing faster and faster internet speeds over the last few years. As per the ACCC's data, there are now over 3 million active connections for plans offering 100Mbps download speeds and faster. That number has actually quadrupled in the past 14 months, largely due to NBN Co's wholesale speed boost in September 2025.

Those speed upgrades came in the form of three new speed tiers — NBN 500, NBN 750 and NBN 2000 — which have helped turbocharge Australia's average internet download speeds to 162.34Mbps. Having that extra wiggle room means that even with numerous people doing data-intensive activities shouldn't noticeably impact regular everyday use, like social media, web browsing, or streaming YouTube.

If your household includes devoted gamers, opting for an NBN 500 plan can be especially transformative, ensuring that downloading new games or large patches completes significantly faster than on slower speeds. As a kitchen and home appliance reviewer, there's no denying the infatuation I have with Ninja Kitchen. I have loved every product I've tried from the brand, from fun, novelty gadgets to actually practical, borderline normal gizmos. Late last year, Ninja's glass air fryer, the Ninja Crispi, launched in Australia, and I immediately got my hands on it.

After using mine for the past six months, I can honestly say that I swear by the Ninja Crispi every night for easy and deliciously crunchy dinners. And right now, my favourite air fryer is discounted by 37% on Amazon to just AU$188.

What really takes the cake with this discount is that it's the lowest price I've ever seen for the Crispi, undercutting the AU$196 rate on Christmas Day 2025. Better yet, this discount is for all three colourways: Cyberspace, Sage and Stone.

In our Ninja Crispi review, we gave it a massive 4.5 stars, as it was super quiet and delivered surprisingly crispy results. Our reviewer was pleasantly surprised by the device, and found the gadget "reinvented the traditional air fryers" they've used in the past. As for the Crispi Pro, we gave it 4-stars, as we found it was a bit pricey to justify at full cost. However, this tidy 32% discount nips that in the bud.

While I haven't used the Crispi Pro as much as I'd like, I've really appreciated the simplicity and convenience that come with the Crispi. It's become an integral part of my daily routine — from frying up chicken tenders to roasting salmon perfectly, I've enjoyed every meal and side I've made with my Ninja Crispi.
