For what applications would a single Core i7 and a single 4870X2 and 9GBs of ram be the 'fastest' system, commercially available or not? For instance, a Tri-SLI system with an OC'd QX9775, QX9770 or probably even an E8400 would be faster in most games (especially high-res). As far as multi-threaded applications go, A skull-trail or workstation board capable of 2 physical processors (8 cores) will outperform a single Corei7 in rendering and other CPU intensive situations. Also, 16GB+ of system memory is not uncommon in workstation and high-end computers. Not to mention there are many faster HDD solutions than a single 80GB intel SSD and a Seagate 1TB. Its never ceases to amaze me the false claims that companies will make to the quick to believe public for publicity and sales.
