But what happens when my internet is down and I still want to watch a movie?

Since my internet and tv are from from the same provider if I lose one I lose both.
If that happens then I revert to my DVD's.
PS TV is not so important nor is the internet that I could not do without either one of them if push comes to shove.

This is such a poorly written article it is silly. Switching from one poorly created standard to another (aka from blu-ray to apple) is not... better. If you want to get people off blu-ray it is better done with something that has comparible quality... like the slotMusic versus CDs ... it offers a size improvement and it is "pre" ripped at 320kbps. When you learn how to write a non retarded article you will get more hits.

BTW being a schill for advertisers (like this article is) is rather transparent and degrades the little credibility that Tom's still has left.

Hmmmmmmmmm... Not sure what some people are complaining about. I have used PC's all of my life and I not a MAC fan. Anyone who has not used Apple TV is missing out tremendously. It's amazing. It has cut my trips to BlockBuster by 30%. The HD is not Blu-ray quality but it is better than DVD (for new movies. older movies are not always scanned properly or the upscaling didn't go so well). I only wish Apple offered 1080p quality movies for those of us with 30Mbps Internet. Right now you get better than DVD but below Bluray quality. The device is capable of 1080p but the HD movies are 720p. Also I have noticed compression turned up a bit more than what I would like at 720p. Nonetheless, way better than DVD and going out to rent.
