Why the photo are a bit blue and noised?

I was thinking the same thing. After looking at one of the large images, it seems like the photographer is using a (relatively nice) point&shoot Samsung, but at ISO 800. Shooting with a little slower shutter and lower ISO would have given much better results. Is this ironic to see in the PMA coverage?
