Google unwrapped an early treat for iPhone users last month when the company unveiled voice-activated controls for search. Google created a true one-click service—once activated, simply the act of holding the phone to your face will automatically trigger the voice command capability. The voice search is tied into location-based functionality that, if enabled, can automatically give you local search results for, say, a Christmas tree farm with nary a keystroke. Overall, the service works well, but you must speak clearly and avoid unusual words or names.
