Researchers at Iowa State University have put the geek back into men’s wear with a solar-paneled tie that can both charge and store your cell phone. The tie is printed with a special textile pattern that matches the stitched-on solar cells, making it slightly more fetching. Also available from the same research team: a men’s suit jacket covered in solar panels … just think: depending on the available sunlight, you might be able to charge a cell phone AND an iPod!
