While nearly all fitted rubber cases share the same features, there are several characteristics of the Incase iPhone 3G that set it apart from the pack. Immediately noticeable is that the rubber material that covers the back, which bears a topographical pattern, is stiffer than most, providing a more solid feel. On the flip side, the firmer material is less flexible, making it more difficult to put on or remove from the iPhone. Direct comparisons with other rubberized cases revealed that the Incase material offered a less “grippy” surface, giving it the positive side effect of it being less attractive to dust and lint when placed in a pocket or purse.
