Every gadget-crazy phone owner is already onto Apple’s worst kept secret: the imminent release of the second generation of Apple’s iPhone. The hype surrounding the device is nearly as heavy as the "god phone" buzz nearly one year ago when the iPhone made its initial debut to a consumer base desperate for a well-designed and functional phone that could handle Web browsing, e-mail, music and video.

The second coming of iPhone is expected to be pumped up with a speedy 3G data connection and upgraded corporate "push" e-mail software, and may even include a true GPS client — standard iPhones can currently triangulate locations using cell phone towers and Google Maps software. Would-be smartphone buyers tend to view this forthcoming device as the gold standard to which all other new phones will need to answer.

Hi Rob. So far, we haven't seen anything suggesting that the Xperia X1 will launch in the U.S. during the summer months. Have you?
