Notebook Vendors To Take More Delivery Of Li-polymer Batteries
International branded PC vendors are likely to take delivery of more lithium-ion polymer (Li-polymer) batteries for their notebook PCs due to the ongoing shortage of lithium-ion battery packs caused by low supplies of battery cells, according to market sources in Taiwan. Apple has been taking delivery of Li-polymer batteries for some time, and other vendors such as Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Dell are now planning to follow Apple’s lead and will start buying Li-polymer batteries, the sources noted.
