Piled-up GPS Inventory Could Take Two Months To Ease
Brisk sales of personal navigation devices (PND) during Christmas and the Lunar New year prompted branded vendors and distributors to over-stock inventory which will likely take the market two months to ease, according to sources from Taiwan-based IC design houses. The sales guidance trim at leading GPS chipmaker, SiRF Technology, may also serve as an indicator to weak GPS/PND demand.
