Modern Warfare 2 PSA Pulled Over F.A.G.S.

Concerns raised over the Fight Against Grenade Spam.
Last week, Infinity Ward posted a video on its YouTube channel that aimed to promote Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in a public service announcement manner. Making an appearance in was an in-engine version of Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels who advised players not to constantly throw random grenades.
The language of the video is mature (as in the ESRB rating for the game), but what some have found offensive about the PSA is the fake organization behind the message – Fight Against Grenade Spam, or F.A.G.S. The video was clearly created with a tongue-in-cheek attitude, but Infinity Ward has responded to concerns by taking down the video from its channel. I found this ad awsome and didn't even think about "fag" at first. I wish this companies would grow a pair and stand up to these bitches. Who gives a fuck what THEY think WE'RE the ones buying YOUR games anyways.

Had I not read this article...I never would have made that connection. I don't think it's that big of a deal. It was a good commercial anyway. Had they shown it in the actual ad and made a point out of it, then it would have been noteworthy, or if they had said it's for fags, then it would have been worth complaining about, but seriously?

What's really offensive is that Cole Hamels has the nerve to tell me not to throw random grenades when he has been doing it from the mound all year. No one knows where that guys pitches are going to end up.

I used to play CS and obviously those games all have name calling involved and fag is one of the popular one.
F.A.G.S did get my attention, I think it was rather clever really and the ad was quite entertaining.Everyone who complained simply aided to make more publicity... I did not think of this game at all... and here I am posting a comment related to it.

Also, if F.A.G.S is Fighting Against Grenade Spam... that means Fags is used in a good way to begin with... Very cleaver... offensive or not, it did get way more attention then expected...
