I wanted to get the 3G iPhone, but $70+ for service is just too expensive to me. $59.99 was already about the limit of what I was willing to pay.

P.S.: Tamara, you rock.

What are you guys talking about? I've been paying 80+ a month for my iPhone, and I got it last year? don't you guys have the reg plan at 50 and then a data plan at 30? or am I getting ripped off here?

The fact that the 3G iphone data plan is $10 more a month is more than offset by the fact that you will now be able to get employer discounts that AT&T offers on every other phone -- thanks to the end of the revenue-sharing deal with Apple. The vast majority of customers that work for Fortune 500 companies will actually end up paying LESS money with the 3G iphone than with the 2G iphone.
