Since around Dec 04, every time I log onto MSN Messenger none of my
contacts are ever online. Now this *could* be a coincidence of course,
but I really doubt it.

Also if I use MSN Messenger on another machine (PC or Mac) I don't seem
to be able to sign in - user ID and password rejected for some reason.

What could have happened? Might my account be corrupt somehow? Should
I delete my account and set it up again from scratch? (and if so, how
do I do that?). Deleting and reinstalling the application appears to
make no difference.

Running Apple Mac Powerbook G4, OS 10.4 (Tiger).

KD,

I've tried adding you to my contact list in both Windows Messenger and MSN
Messenger, but it states you do not have a .Net Passport account. You'll
need to register your hotmail address as a .Net Passport account. Once
you've done that, you should be good to go.

To setup your .Net Passport, on the sign-in window for MSN Messenger, click
on the link to "sign-in using a different account." When a new window pops
up, click on the "Get a .Net Passport" link in the bottom left corner.
Follow the setup instructions. You'll be able to keep the same e-mail
address that you currently use. So, in the setup wizard, just ADD (I think
it states something like "register your existing e-mail address with .Net or
something very close to that.) your existing e-mail address.
