I was just wondering what apps people have been wishing they could get on Linux but haven't been able to find.

Here's a couple... I won't pretend they're 1:1 featurewise, but for many folks it's a pretty good start.

MS Access - Rekall
Visual Studio - KDevelop
Winzip - Gnome Fileroller
CorelDraw was actually available for Linux for a while, IIRC... but it seems to have been killed off. There are some vector editing packages like sodipodi that may be ok. Gimp is rumoured to support vector art sometime in the future.
No idea about netmeeting and webshots! mostly 'cause I've never used either of them.

"Yes .net is available in Linux"

It doesn't mean we have to like it.

Looking at this from a consumer standpoint I think linux needs some easy to use video editing software, as well as more games or a better WINE.

Linux has very good video editing software, but I am talking about something with an easy interface. Something like DVD MOVIE FACTORY, VIDEOWAVE, SNAPSTREAM, etc.

video diting software, or video post prod software.

it has Cinepaint, which is an industry standard post prob program based on the gimp

although i use both of them in windows LOL
