Welp, 7500 is too easy. need to do some tweaks to break 8k easy too =) I see where 9k is possible at lower resolutions.

I got home late last night, ran the test once took a SS and went to bed.

BTW, I will setup madonion account when I get a safe email address, I did not want to use my home/work email address on madonion because its shown as my username. Last thing I need is for a genious here to post my home address and phone number on this forum, so gimme another day and Ill remake a madonion account thats safer for me to use. Im sure your wondering how to get that info, well its too easy if you know how. www.networksolutions.com and do a whoison email address. bam! you got someones personal info.

I think some lemmings owe me an appology!

Madonion reports incorrect Mhz, 15x120 =1.8Ghz not 1.76Ghz

Ill push to break 8k this weekend, madonion shows all the details so hang tight and dont whimper about my res and stuff. you will see it soon enough.

$130 for antech tower case and 4 fans
$316 for visionteck geforce3 from networld/interop show special.
I had Intel pro100 nic
I had hard drives, IBM GXP 40GB was $120 originally, older 20 gig as well both ata100.

Total $841+ shipping roughly out of pocket.

My bad, pricing was for 1.8, forgot you had oced 1.5

anyways.
I paid 140 for my cpu.
Had ram
140 for mobo
had cd
had 3x 45gig ibm 75gxp's(using 2 now wifes borrowing third)
89 for tower case
50 for 350 watt enermax psu
369 for elsagladiac920.


My rig costs less and performs better in more than half the benchmarks buddy.
(overcloked gf3+raid+1.5ghz tbird= powerful system).

I'm gonna post my benchmarks I have Visiontek geforce 3, and its overclocked to 215 GPU 515 MEM, and my Processor was running 1.6 GHz give me a second to get it all uploaded to my host.

*note* I might need to redoo these benchmarks I've done many optimizations to my computer since I did these over a month ago

Soon if I get an Sk6 and new 80mm delta fan I'll probably be able to reach 1.7 GHz, especially if I get an 85 watt peltier, right now my mc370 with delta and the fact its summer limits me to around 1560 MHz 1600 MHz. I could also drop the multiplier and run 150 FSB, but right now I have 512 megs of Micron and Corsair ram, instead of only 256 megs of Corsair PC2400

Good luck. I have a Vapochill on my 1.4 and the best stable clock is 1671/12x139. I've tried every combination of voltage FSB and multiplier. I’ve gotten it higher but sooner or later something will crap it out. Next month I may replace the chip with a new 1.5 and see if I can hit 1750-1800.

Even if I clocked my machine down to match yours I will still get a higher number, Imagine that!

Becarefull and dont burn your AMD up trying to squeek a few extra points out.

Now I see why Matisaro is sooo fustrated =) losing by 1000+ points on 3Dmark2001 is something to get upset about.

We can all post out madonion links monday, Ill do a range of different resolutions too.

LOL, a score of ~6400 in 3d2001 is nothing to be frustrated about, be proud fugger, you have a top 1% score, and im right up there with you.

PS: intel subsidizes 3dmark2001, and it is well known its an intel friendly app.

Having a score of ~6400 in 3dmark 2001 is nothing to be ashamed of, neither is having one of 7300(when you post). I still dont think that kind of score is possible with the videocard at default speeds, is your fsb overclocked?

If you are telling the truth, than I apologize for calling you a liar, and it dosent hurt me to do so, it take a big man to admit when hes wrong.

What det/direct x versions are you running?

I can't figure out why people care about 3Dmark scores at all? Sure, it's probably nice demo to watch and everything but who gives a sh*t about random numbers it puts out ;-) ? I remeber that 3DMark99 (or sth) rated K6-2/300 to be faster processor for gaming than P2/400...

Oh, BTW, FUGGER, my duron 700 cracks RC5 as fast as your P4/1.8Ghz (even thougt that P4 ALU's should run @ 3.6Ghz then) and if I would overclock it by 50Mhz it would be as fast as P4@2Ghz :)

We don't need a range of resolutions fugger just the default...and how come no one can post a compare? Here's mine with an overclocked duron 750 on a kt7.

P4 1.7 had it at 2.1 at the time I ran it.
VisionTek GF3 Stock
My score 6900
Soon as I can cool my card I will OC it and think I can get 7500 Stable.

Bottom line is 7000 cannot be broken under 2.1 with a stock card

I'm gonna up my FSB tomarrow and try to run with stock geforce 3 settings. I know my Tbird won't get close to that high of a P4, but I'm a little iffy on this stock clock Gforce 3 deal. It just doesn't seem Kosher.
Fugger if you have yours running stock then overclock it to 215 GPU 515 MEM and you'll probably have one of the highest 3dmark2001 scores.

And someone asked if his FSB was higher, and the answer is yes, his FSB is 120 instead of 100. So basically his FSB is 120 x 4 (480 MHz)

btw - 85W is about 55% of the power you'll need. A 1.6-1.7 Athlon will need a 156W peltier, not an 85. An 85 will end up heating it, not cooling it.

Ya I would say that that fugger guy is full of it!. I have my geforce 3 at 260/550 and im getting 7310. That is also a 300 DDR FSB 1.5Ghz thunderbird. Maybe if he has a 2+ghz pentium4 then ya maybe the stock geforce3 is getting him 7300.

3dmark IS a suspect program.
intel sponsored.... processor variable....
why is it then called 3dmark? wouldnt 3d&porcessormark be more accurate?

my geforce2pro & athlon 1200C@1333 got 1100 3dmarks! :)

I consider 3DMark is nothing but Video Benchmark software. Its score is relied too much to how strong of your video card is.
I think there is another one called <A HREF="http://www.tweakfiles.com/benchmark/finalreality.html" target="_new"><font color=red>Final Reality</A></font color=red> only tests your graphics card (actually, it tests 3D performance).

:smile: Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

hes probably running it at 640x480 as welll but i cant really comment... have you noticed he hasnt shown the resolution or bittage (wrong i know) so he could be running it at 16 bit lower resolution anything... hes fugger... he is capable of anything... as am i ;)

Sealed motherboard w/refridgeration cooling to all components, zero condensation. (searched this forum 15 mins for my post on my cooling setup. did not find post/link. grizely1 prob remembers)
All PCI devices removed, all non used subsystems disabled (com ports, LPT, IDE 2, ...)
AGP set to USWC
AGP apature size 256MB (some AMD has problem with this)
Dropped from 512 to 256MB RAM
PCI latency timer changed from 32 to 16

Scored 7550 @ default (all tests selected for demo version)

Moved memory up to 260, and core to 545 I believe where I left off, The image started tearing in dragon gothic and bit the dust in nature with a lockup. I rebooted and have tearing in everything even just staring at the desktop.

I wonder how many AMD's bit it this way. Well I already did my RMA first thing and got advanced cross ship inc tomorrow.

My 7360 score was with overclocked video card @ 220/515. you will notice the power strip in bottom right corner. thats the easiest way to overclock stock drivers when coolbits doesnt work.

I was pushing to beat cathar, when I realized he has deselected test in order to complete benchmarks. I am finding other high scores like this??? Also, I had just overtaken this guy in every catagory of test.

I see other people speak of a "speed cheat" is there really such a thing? is it a cheat or a performce enhancing program?

My card failed at a slightly lower setting, you get "tearing" at that speed and do you deselect tests to complete?

I also noticed people mentioning that at these high settings the machine is only stable for a few minutes, I was pushing to complete all tests, yet some of the 7500+ numbers where posted by people deselecting tests.

You have to be running advanced cooling to even get close to that speed. pelt on your video card?

Fugger, your origional claim was at 1800 and default clock speed, which is bullshit, now sure, if you order new parts and oc the card to high heaven you just may get 7500. But I think that I have proven my origional point. The score you mentioned with the setup you origionally described is utter bullsheot.

he claims to get 7300+ at stock speed, then he changes his claim to say he did it with an overclocked gf3, and he still does not post his link on madonion. Whatever FUGGER, ive heard enough of your phoney setup and phoney benchmarks for one day. I have ~6400 and its a legit 6400 and its top 1% of all computers, and i did every test, and it dosent crash or have visual defects. SO untill you post your resullt link, dont bother posting on this thread again with your vapor ware. I think you lied about your origional score, and when we called you out on it, you desperatly attempt to overclock to reach the score you claim. and you may succeed, but you lied origionally, and I will not apologize for calling you out for your lie.
