Graphics card and IRQ question

I was perusing a message board for a popular MMORPG I am hopelessly addicted to and came across a post about Video Cards and IRQ settings. A person there made a sweeping statement that Graphics cards should never share an IRQ. Is this true? Mine shares 11 with some other devices like USB controller I believe. I'm not having lockups or crashes, so I'm inclined to think everything is okay. What kind of problems would I have is this were an issue? How would I safely change the IRQs of a device? I would not want to do this unless it was absolutely necessary as I've heard this can cause problems.

As long as you have a decent mobo then you shouldnt have to concern yourself with shared IRQs. If you go junk mobo, then you may get issues. Your mobo should not have such probs with sharring.

It shouldn't share with another BUS MASTERING device. USB controllers aren't bus mastering, no worries there.
