Just purchased. Coupld of questions.

1. Does anyone else think that the shutter is exceptionaly loud? Is it possible that I have a defective one?

2. Found a dead pixel at the top of the LCD screen. Is this common in digital cameras?

1. Yes, it is extremely loud. I can hear it all the way over here. It woke me up the other night, in fact. Please stop using it until you get it fixed.

2. Usually hear about dead pixels on the sensor, but Canon's fixed the ones I hear about, so I'd hope they'd fix that one, too.
