Allow me to point out that 'My computer is Windows XP Home' should read - My
computer uses Microsoft Windows XP Home -SP2 Operating SYstem, SP2.

As for the rest of your description it amounts to nothing of value when
considering your request.

An MFC application is an executable application for Windows that is based on
the Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) Library.

MFC executables generally fall into five types: standard Windows
applications, dialog boxes, forms-based applications, Explorer-style
applications, and Web browser–style applications.

Whilst this doesn't explain exactly what your TH Detect is doing: it will
help you determine if you need it running.
