I keep getting i/o error 103 when I use DocReader on my Windows XP
system. I am using the DocReader from
http://mpickering.homeip.net/phpwi [...] /DocReader

It has something to do with user privileges. My account on XP was
initially not an Admin account, and DocReader did not work. It did work
in another account with Admin. So I changed my account to Admin, and
tried reinstalling DocReader, but I stiall get this error.

As far as I know the installation is just copying from the zip file to
whereever you want it. Is that true?

The DocReader I run runs without problem; started using it with Win95b
and continue to use it on WinXP. I run with admin priviledges due to
laziness, but for the life of me I can not see why a user account
would cause it problems.

There should be a DocReader.INI file in the same directory as the
..EXE; rename the .INI file so DocReader.EXE won't locate it, and
launch the .EXE again. That might help. Otherwise, I would start
looking towards the DLLs that are installed on your systems, although
that's not a trivial task.

It is, as best I can remember. I copy the .EXE wherever I need it, and
run it from a number of SD cards without running an installation
program.
