I'm trying to access the management tools in my broadband
network utility but it is dimmed. What can I do about
this?

Go into your browser and put the IP address of your base station in the
address line. The default is 192.168.2.1, unless you've changed it.
Several things can cause the "dimmed" condition including certain ATI
graphics card software. On Windows XP, you really don't need the pretty
front-end software, and can safely uninstall it in Add or Remove Program,
and continue to administer the base station from your browser address line.

I hope someone responds, because that is what happened to
me, and that is why I came to this newsgroup. The
Management Utility was working fine, until I added the
seconde computer on the network through the MN-500.

There are several reasons why it can be dimmed, including being blocked by
certain ATI graphics drivers. You can still administer the base station via
your browser. All you need to do is go into the IP address (default is
192.168.2.1, unless you changed it) in the address line. You'll have all
the controls available to you, and if you're on Windows XP you can uninstall
the management front end in Add or Remove Programs.

I should have mentioned it earlier, but I can not access
it from the browser either, and the gateway address is
the default address. I did just upgrade my ATI driver,
would that also interfer with the access through the
browser. Any other suggestions.
