This is weird... Someone I know recently upgraded to a Treo 650, so it
looked like a good opportunity from me to upgrade from my M515 to his
old Treo 600.

I did a full reset on the treo and put in the sim card from my old
phone (same carrier).

I did a full backup (backupbuddy) of my Pilot.

I then did a sync of the Treo, which did a full restore.

Everything works, EXCEPT that there is no text when I select any memo.
It's just blank.

I've tried creating a new memo and syncing it, and it appears in
Outlook (2003). My other memos exist in Outlook and are readable, so I
haven't lost anything, I just can't read them on the Treo. I can see
the titles, but the body is blank.

I'm a registered user of Memo Plus, running a very recent version (but
not the most recent -- I'm two minor revisions behind). The standard
memo application doesn't find any documents at all. The memo plus
application finds the document titles but doesn't display the body.

Todo Plus, which I also own, works fine. Even notes attached to items
display correctly. Likewise, notes attached to calendar events are
readable. It's only memos that can't be read.

Has anyone else run into this? Again, I haven't lost anything -- my
memos are still on the computer -- but what do I need to do to get them
to display on the Treo?

I'm currently running no hacks. (The version of X-master I had on the
M515 doesn't work on the Treo anyway.)

Pocket Mirror version 3.1.5.6. I've experimented with the Pocket
Mirror settings -- set computer overwrites pilot for memos, no
difference. There were a couple errors in the hotsync log (a duplicate
category in memos and a couple recurring appointments it didn't like)
but after fixing that and getting the log to come up clean, I still
don't see the body of my memos.

This is with Outlook 2003 (11.6402.6408 SP1)

Shouldn't that be "last time I *made* personal contact"? (I just saw
that episode on DVD...)

That sounds like the bundled version of Pocket Mirror Standard. First
thing, upgrade. The current version is 3.1.7.1, and can be downloaded
here: http://www.chapura.com/free_downloads_updates.php

Other than that, I used PM Standard with my Kyocera 7135, and I'm now
using PM Standard XT with my Treo 650. I've never heard of any conduit
only synching the "title" of a memo. At one time I used to use
MemoPlus and thought that having a title be different than the first
line was kinda nifty, but that was also before I started synching with
Outlook, and when I dropped MemoPlus, I don't recall it causing any
screwups in my memo database, other than some doubled first lines.

One last thing to try, if you still have the capability:

Beam your memo databases from your old handheld to the Treo directly.
If that works, then there is something funky happening with the
conduits that you will need to take up with Chapura. If it fails, then
you should probably look to HandsHigh.
