Hello,

I am currently developing a PalmOS application which needs to be
localized to more than one language (probably about 12 or so). I
need to use Palm OS Developer Suite (PODS) to do this and have
already defined all application strings in String and StringList
resources. I notice that each one of these has a Resource Locale
property in Resource Editor (which I can set to something like
enUS for example). So, do I simply create a resource with same
ID and different locale for each of these? Also, I assume that
if enCA or enUK resources are not found, for instance, then
PalmOS will use enUS. Is this correct or do I always need
to include country codes in my localization overlays even
if my app does not make use of currencies or time/date
formats?

Thanks,

Neil

Are you doing a public development? normally 12 languages will not
increase your sales too much. Try to begin to one language first (German
is a good market) and remembner latter that you will need to upgrade
everytime for all languages your application in future releases.

this is not off topic here, but you get better results posting on
'palm-dev-forum' newsgroups on palmsource.lyris.net

also try this web interface to search this forum:

http://news.palmos.com/read/search [...] -dev-forum

this same doubt about multi language resources already has been
discussed a lot of times there.
