I have a ibook G4 and a Palm Zire 72. I wish to convert Popeye cartoons
or Three Stooges shorts to mpg files so I can play them on my Zire 72.
How can I? Also as I understand 1GB is the max that the Zire 72 can
hold on a memory card, so when they make 4GB SD cards I will be doomed
from reading them. Is this accurate?

Can't answer the Zire questions: Don't have one.

For the conversion, you might want to look into the following link to
Wiretap Pro.

I've not tried it, but did bookmark it for future reference.

Hi,

I use http://www.kaisakura.com/index2.html product here for entirely
different purpose. They have mpeg stuff too.

The problem is, some people hate them on versiontracker, I don't know why...

Yes, they are packing opensource "geek" command line utilities and make
some simple ui program, no its not that easy so they charge.

Maybe you should ignore all, pick the stuff they make, try trial yourself.

Hello John,

Paul from palmOne here. Regarding the Zire 72, we have tested 2GB
expansion cards with these devices and can say with confidence that
they will work in these palmOne devices. You can read more information
on this in the palmOne Knowledge Library article "Maximum SD expansion
card size and transfer speed for palmOne handhelds" at
http://www.palmone.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=34080
Hope that helps.

Best

Paul

That's fine if he only wants to listen to the shorts.

Convert from what video format?
